Chapter 1360: Supreme Morningstar Clan 4
Shockwaves seemed to emerge from the area where the young lads were standing as their bodies began to shift and warp. The air crackled with power, causing the Morningstar World to tremble slightly, something which even shocked Eva.
Immediately funnel clouds appeared in the sky above the Clan Square as torrents of energy at the Origin Grade were sucked into the bodies of the 165 youths present on the field, causing their figures to become blurry.
The energy funnels did not relax for even a second and no matter how the mothers tried to interfere or stop it, they could barely even approach. Eva herself stood up and looked down with a cold face, but upon sensing the situation, she was rather surprised.
"Sit down, they are not being harmed." Eva commanded, which made the anxious Clan Elders sit down gingerly.
"Big Sis, what's going on?" Hikari asked softly, posing the question on everyone's minds.
Eva glanced at the kids lightly, her voice not concealing her interest. "Nothing much. I simply used our wealth to bruteforce the development that should have occurred slowly and over time. I purchased every node on the General Board at once, so the beneficial effects all took place at once on them, leading to a strong reaction."
This stunned the Clan Elders, because they did not expect this. Since most of the features of the Clan System were reserved for the second generation and going, they did not obtain many of the raw benefits apart from things like increased fertility and lifespan.
"Will it hurt them?" Rina asked with a glint in her eye.
Eva rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Hard to say. The General Board's upgrades are good, but not game breaking. They don't add anything new, just improve on what is already there with percentile increases, so the reason for this reaction is that our Morningstar brats have too much potential that had been multiplied by this change all at once."
Zaine hummed. "I see, so because of the sudden increase in their base power all at once, they are absorbing a lot of energy to make up for the shortened duration. In that case, they should be fine since we are here."
"Yes, after all, we have infinite energy here. No matter how much their transformation needs, they would have an infinite and steady supply of it, so now it's down to them to make the most of this chance." Eva concluded with a nod.
This settled the Clan Elders who watched the changes going on in silence, contemplating what to do next. Even Eva patiently waited in case anything happened, and this period ended up lasting around 6 hours, something which left everyone even more troubled.
One should know, these brats are sucking up ambient Origin Energy, something that even Draco did not have the qualifications to handle yet. They had been doing so for 6 hours straight, so it was likely that the changes this time were going to be great beyond expectations.
At the same time, they couldn't help but feel a chill in their hearts. Thank Eva they had a place like the Morningstar World with the Eternal Tree that had infinite energy, otherwise who knew the terrible consequences that would have occurred once this process was forcibly halted due to a lack thereof?
As the shockwaves slowly began to settle and the light from the energy funnels dimmed, the Morningstar Clan Square was left in a strange stillness. The children - no, the second generation heirs - stood motionless where they had once fidgeted, their silhouettes sharpened, postures refined, and presence unmistakably elevated.
Eva, still seated on her throne, leaned forward with narrowed eyes. Now came the interesting part.
The first to step forward was Damian.
Previously a mere boy with a mild amount of arrogance in his sharp red eyes, Damian now radiated a forceful confidence that made even the weaker Clan Elders instinctively lower their gaze. His once lean and toned frame had filled out into compact muscle, along with a pair of white wings that had been hidden in his clothing because they had always been too small to fly now stretched proudly behind him, angelic and divine, significant veins of gold within.
He glanced back toward his younger brother, Jorge, who had changed almost as drastically. The boy's previously quiet and supremely arrogant demeanor had not left him, but his aura had grown dense and brooding. Unlike Damian's bold charisma, Jorge now exuded a cold and analytical pressure, as if he were observing the entire clan with the eyes of a strategist.
His Dark Angel wings had not grown in size but had hardened, resembling metallic blades that were coated with a black light, which was the famous Blackfire that burned the lifeforce, using it as tinder to kill enemies.
The identical twin daughters of Jada and Jade were next, and their change caused a stir. The two girls had always been full of mischief, their giggles light and infectious, but now a curious energy danced around them - one searing hot, the other frigidly cold - making them appear like living embodiments of duality.
Their hair had darkened into a deeper obsidian, and their irises now held a mirror-like sheen, hinting at latent ocular abilities. They hovered slightly above the ground, their feet no longer touching the earth unless they willed it, like two little goddesses.
Beside them, Vix's foxkin son, James, stood with a visible smirk. His golden hair now shimmered with an inner light, and his fox ears twitched with sharpened awareness. His once playful expression had mellowed into a cocky calm, as if the upgrades had unlocked a predator behind the jester.
What stood out the most were the nine spectral tails behind him, barely visible to normal eyes but clearly present, each one pulsing with a different elemental energy. Even among the other children, he now seemed… untouchable.
The three dragonkin daughters of Potera - Selina, Eunice, and Georgette - emerged as a group, like a clutch of hatching wyrmlings turned humanoid queens. Each had scaly legs like dragonoids, but after the transformation, their entire lower halves shimmered with silvery-gold scales imbued with Draconic essence.
Their eyes - greenish-black pupils with vertical slits - could now see through illusions as a passive trait, and they stood tall with unified poise, their silver hair swirling with Draconic Might. When they exhaled, their breath left faint clouds of golden mist… hints of their draconic breath power awakening.
And then… came the sons of Sesa, named Boris, Bane, Bartre, and Bernard.
These four half-orc lads had always been stocky and tall for their age, but after the transformation, they were nothing short of monsters in the making. Their tusks had lengthened slightly and were now covered with glowing green lines, evidence of a natural magic affinity inherited from their mother's orc ancestry and Draco's human divinity.
Their muscles bulged like living armor, and their skin had taken on a pale bronze hue. More terrifying than their appearance was their oppressive aura that was brutal, imposing, and yet oddly disciplined.
For creatures born of orc blood, they did not roar or brag, they merely stood and exuded the promise of violence as well as rape.
These were just a few among many.
Every single child in the square had undergone a visible metamorphosis. Some had their irises change color, others developed horns, tails, or faint elemental auras around their bodies. A few glowed with innate divine radiance, others had become darker, the very shadows clinging to them like faithful pets.
One thing was clear, none of them were just 'children' anymore.
They were the New Era Morningstars.
Eva watched all this with a subtle smile tugging at her lips. While the General Board's upgrades were not unique or exclusive, seeing how they interacted with the absolute ceiling-breaking potential of these children proved just how monstrous their family's future truly was.
She stood once more, her voice rising smoothly to match the newfound silence of awe that had spread over the square.
"This is only the beginning."
Her gaze swept over every child and then to the proud, occasionally teary-eyed faces of their mothers.
"Your true trials begin the moment your panels awaken. Once again, whether you rise to become creators, rulers, or mere disappointments… is up to you."
The words were harsh, but none took them poorly. Rather, brimming with power, these brats were full of energy, wanting to immediately launch a Clan War to show their prowess to the Supreme Ancestress.
Seeing their enthusiasm, Eva was amused. No matter how strong now, they still had to obediently wait for their Immortal Adventurer panels to awaken before they could partake in system-based events, so there was no helping it.
However, she did look forward to what they could accomplish once that time came. On top of that, Eva also refrained from activating any nodes on the Special Board just yet, even though she could afford to clear it out.
Even the simplest node on the Special Board involved crazy power boosts as it was bloodline-specific, so if the General Board could warrant such a scene, then the Special Board could literally suck the Eternal Tree dry in one go.
Suddenly, Zaine's eyes narrowed. "Wait, if the changes take place in all clan descendants… then what about ours who aren't here?"
The next moment, the faces of Eva, Roma and Hikari changed. Immediately, without sparing a single thought, Eva took the three of them to teleport into the Ancestral Dragon city, where Kuro and Shiro were.
When they appeared, they found that the entire Dragon race was abuzz with excitement, almost every dragon and dragonkin at the edge of their dragonperch or in the sky, glancing towards the center of the city where the Dragon Palace was located.
The reason why was obvious too, with the sky coated with a sea of dark Destruction Energy along with gentle Creation Energy as two small dragons were coiled in the center of their respective affiliated energies.
Not just Eva, but the three beauties were completely shocked by this. They had never seen such strong phenomena, especially in terms of the purity of the Destruction and Creation Energy.
Kuro's current form was his black dragon state and he had grown twice his previous size, now looking quite menacing and majestic with the aura roiling off him.
Meanwhile Shiro was also in a white dragon form, but this was what even shocked Hikari the more. When she and Draco conceived Shiro, Draco had implanted more of his human genetics than his dragon ones, whereas he had done the opposite for Kuro.
That was why Kuro was born as a dragonling and had to transform into a human when he wanted a humanoid form, whereas Shiro came out of her egg as a human and did not even have any dragon horns, unlike her mother. Also because Shiro was the youngest of them, she struggled with her draconic transformation, which was something that troubled Hikari for a long time.
The previous shameless Draco had simply said not to worry about it and that Shiro would gain access to it when her panel arrived, but look at her now! She was in full dragon form, smaller than Kuro by a level but still radiating pure creation energy naturally, even slightly better than Hikari herself when she was that age!
Eva hummed. "Hikari, stay here and watch over them. We'll go check on the others."
Hikari nodded hurriedly as she transformed into her White Dragon form, nearly three times the size of even Kuro, and rushed upwards to make sure nothing happened to her children.
Meanwhile, Eva took Zaine and Roma away, using the special Morningstar Clan teleportation channel to appear in the Devil Realm.
The moment they appeared, the faces of the three changed as they sensed surging, turbulent energy at a far distance, unmistakably that of Loki. Zaine's eyes immediately became bloodshot as she lost her mind, instantly rushing towards that place.
With a grim expression, Eva and Roma followed along quickly, hoping nothing had gone wrong.
