Chapter 4372: Vehna
"It may be hard to believe, but it is the truth," she said, walking closer to me.
"Those people had been doing this for nearly a millennium. They are very good at hiding; I would be surprised if you had found some proof of them being cultists in just a few months," she added softly.
I didn’t say anything, and she didn’t press for more information.
She just stood beside me in silence.
"So, you are saying, there is another village?" I asked. To that nodded with a smile. "Yes, it is made of people like me, who were able to escape from the village," she replied.
"Where is it?" I asked. "Hidden," she replied.
"Can I go there?" I asked. "Yes, but I will need to lead you there; it is hidden," she replied, and my expression turned hesitant.
Hesitation appeared on my face.
"Then I will visit later. I want to explore the whole realm. It will take a few months; I am sure I will find someone to lead me to your village by then," I said.
To that, she shook her head.
"We take extreme care of its secrecy. It is why only one person at a time comes out of it. So, the chances of you finding me once more are very low," she replied with a smile.
"If you want to visit. You will have to come with me," she said, but this time, I shook my head.
"I think I will first explore the realm," I replied, and the smile on her face disappeared, but she nodded.
"I could understand your hesitation. I was same, when I ha" she said saying when suddenly, she swung her sword at her, with her power blazing.
She used all her power in a single powerful attack.
I am impressed by the way she gathered power. It was almost invisible. Others would have a very hard time discovering it, much less reacting fast enough against her attack.
Though I am not surprised, given the cult she belongs to.
I found out when she revealed her energy. I was able to collect a sample of energy and match it with the samples, the village had given me.
It also lit another thing in my core. So, even if I didn’t have samples from the village, I would have been able to find out about her cult, which is more than enough for me to deal with her.
Burst 70%.
I was ready, and the power of the burst filled me instantly. As it did, my sword appeared in my hand, and I swung toward her smoothly to her surprise.
CLANG!
Our weapons clashed, creating a massive shockwave. That destroyed everything in its path, but it didn’t move; we remained in our spots.
She looked at me with deep surprise, while I grinned.
"Its quite an act, you have created Vehna. I am glad I didn’t deal with you when you were watching me sneakily against the monster," I said, making her eyes.
Though a moment later, anger flashed in her. She controlled it quickly, and they turned as calm as water.
"Who are you?" asked. "Arys," I replied with a smile.
"Are you really new?" she asked. "Yes, appeared just a few months ago," I replied.
For a few seconds, she didn’t speak before opening her mouth with a smile on her face.
"I have a feeling that after I get you, I will receive a gift from the beast, which will be enough for me to reach the peak of Prime," she said and came at me.
She is a High-Prime; her next advancement is a Peak Prime.
Prime can’t advance here, but that applies to orthodox advancement. Not unorthodox ones, like advancing through the power granted by a powerful entity.
This realm couldn’t stop. To those entities, it didn’t matter whether it was a world or a realm within.
It is the reason why there are a lot of cultists in this realm. Even those who were not cultists before had turned to cult here in desperation.
They cannot advance through normal means, and while they could comprehend the law, it had its limits, and so did the people.
A closer connection doesn’t mean everyone will make massive progress.
Yes, they will comprehend the law within months of coming here and make progress, but that progress has a limit. Not everyone could reach the height that Horus has.
Some people in the village have been here longer than he has, but their laws are no way closer to his.
"You will have to sacrifice me first for that," I replied.
"Oh, I will!" she said and came at me with a powerful attack. I reacted immediately by swinging my sword toward her.
CLANG CLANG CLANG!
Our weapons clashed, and she attacked again, appearing behind me, but I turned and defended.
She disappeared again and attacked from the front.
Her attacks kept coming, and I defended while looking at the armor, dealing with the energy. It is doing flawlessly.
Though the real challenge hadn’t started yet.
My clones had already started making preparations, studying her energy. I hope I will be able to deal with it, because she is very powerful and will become even more powerful.
I am also dealing with the wind law, and this woman is using it spectacularly.
"You are fighting well, but you should give up; there is no way you will be able to contend against me," she said, and I laughed.
"The same words were said to me by your shaman, before he fell under my blade," I replied in shock.
"You killed a shaman?" she asked. "Yes," I replied, and I thought she would be angry. Instead, a great job lit up in her eyes.
"You are truly a blessing. With your sacrifice, I might finally be able to get out of this realm," she said with shining eyes, before stepping in front of me.
I was about to move toward her when I stopped, seeing the golden light appear on her across her body.
