Monster Integration

Chapter 4371: Act

Chapter 4371: Act

It didn’t take her long to reach me, but she remained hidden, watching me.

I didn’t react to his presence and even showed that I had sensed him. I fought the monster in front of me, while keeping an eye on the person’s every movement.

She is not weak. Quite strong actually, enough to kill this monster, I am fighting in a single attack.

I have nearly finished collecting all the data from the monster. I will be done in a minute or two, but I’d like to see what she does in that time.

I don’t know her intention. She is very good at concealing it.

Roar!

The monster roared angrily and came at me with the power of law blazing. It wants to eat me, and the longer we fight, the greater its desire becomes.

It is not seeing, any of its attacks are barely touching me. All it cares about is eating me.

It had taken over the dumb monster’s mind, making it forget self-preservation. I don’t mind; things are in my control. I could finish it off whenever I want.

A minute passed, and she kept watching. A few seconds more and I will be finished. I begin to show it through my fighting style.

I became more careful. This is the opportunity she had, but as the seconds passed, she remained in her place without moving.

Puch!

Finally, I appeared above the monster and buried my sword inside it.

Killing it instantly. It was that monster barely felt pain for a moment, before the life left its eye.

Thud!

I landed on the ground and took a couple of deep breaths before looking at the monster’s carcass.

If she hadn’t been watching, I would have put it into my core, but since she. I simply sighed and flew away, activating the stealth.

There are monsters around me, and they didn’t take long to move forward as the sounds quieted down, but as they reached the battle, they didn’t find me.

Raor Raor!

Some had moved to find me, while others fought for the carcass.

I barely focus on them. My focus is only on the woman who is sneakily following me from a safe distance.

She has a very good stealth method, and I am also not moving that fast.

Minutes passed and turned into an hour, but she is still following me from the same distance. It’s like she didn’t want to approach me.

I wanted to approach her, but I bit that urge down.

I want to see how long she continues to follow me while I also become careful. I’m sending long soul waves in case she has someone.

Hun!

An hour and a half passed, and then she did something; she turned.

I thought she was leaving and thought of chasing her, but soon, I noticed that was not the case. She was moving ahead of me, taking the curved path.

Twenty minutes later, she is ahead of me.

Maintaining the same distance while following behind me. It continued for over forty minutes, when she suddenly increased her speed and moved ahead.

She reached quite far before suddenly stopping.

She sat down by the tree, and her aura began to weaken a little. Her face became tired, and her skin became pale with marks of battle appearing all over.

"Interesting," I muttered.

It’s been a while since someone took such efforts and seeing the way she did, it’s clear she used a method, and it looked damn good one.

I didn’t change my direction and kept moving forward, and soon, I had sensed her.

I had brought the surprise, before becoming careless and slowing down, but I didn’t stop. I kept moving toward us before stopping at the trees where she is resting.

The woman is an elf, tall and beautiful, with long, forest green hair, which she had kept in a bun.

I watched from a distance for a few minutes before coming out of the trees. I lowered my stealth as I walked toward her.

Her eyes flew open, and a sword appeared in her hand as she stood up in all cautiousness.

She is quite a good actor—one of the best I have seen.

"I mean no harm," I said, raising my hand. "Then why are you sneaking up on me?" asked, harnessing her energy and pouring it into her weapons.

"I am not. I was a distance away and even lowered my stealth. If I wanted to, I could have remained in stealth. You wouldn’t have discovered me until I had reached very close to you," I replied.

She still looked at me suspiciously before lowering her weapon.

"You are from that village?" she asked. "Yes," I replied. "I arrived just a few months ago," I added, which made her eyes light up.

"Who are you? You are not in the information that the village had provided," I stated.

Hearing that her expressions changed.

"Why would they? They hate our village." She replied and turned to me.

"They told you they are the only village, right? All those who live outside the village are cultists and very bad people?" she asked.

I couldn’t help but nod at that with my eyes turning cautious.

’It is getting interesting,’ I thought.

"In fact, it is them who are cultists, with that bastard Karamiv as the cult master," she stated. A shock appeared in my eyes hearing that.

"It can’t be!" I said, not daring to believe.

I don’t trust everything they have told me. It is why I have come to verify it, but I am telling the whole village that the cult is very far-fetched.

I have been conscious for weeks, and while I didn’t make a big move, I have been looking into things.

I haven’t found a single proof that it is a cult. I am a member of Tor; I have been trained to find this time, and I don’t believe I am dumb enough to notice all the signs.

Especially with my sneaky method.

I do not deny that there might be some cultists in the village, but saying the whole village is the cult is far-fetched.
