"Darkness is coming soon, Amon. Don't forget." Nyx whispered in his ears when the couple got to work.

"I know. Getting to the closest one won't take too long if we run." Amon said as he crouched down, "Get on my back, I'll carry you."

Nyx's face immediately turned red but she did as she was told. Amon grabbed her thighs while she looped her arms around his neck, her body pressing against his back.

"Hold tight." he whispered before running towards the east where the closest stash house was. A line of dust rose up as Amon sped forward, jumping over rubble and ignoring the slow monsters that couldn't catch up.

"Ten minutes." Nyx said as she glanced at the time but Amon didn't respond. He simply put more power into his legs, his mana dropping a little as his stats went up by 50%.

Nyx immediately felt her head snap backwards as Amon jumped forward, covering tens of meters in a single step.

"Ugh…" she groaned softly before burying her face in his shoulders.

She didn't have to wait for long as Amon suddenly skidded to a stop.

"There it is. How much more time do we have?" he asked as he looked at her instead of checking it himself.

"Seven minutes."

"Cool." he muttered as he leaned forward a little and a moment later, his body became a blur.

He sped towards a large tree that was almost three meters wide and rammed his shoulder against it.

Instead of shaking or splintering, the whole thing crumbled and fell to the ground.

It wasn't a tree, just a replica made from cement, paint and some illusion skill.

The once tree lay on the ground in pieces but now, it didn't even resemble one. The brown bark was now light grey.

Amon looked a the 'tree stump' that was hollow on the inside and stepped in to look at the huge trapdoor.

He punched it thrice, making a loud sound.

"Open up or I'll break the door. You don't wanna die in darkness do you?" he yelled as he took a step back.

Soon, the door opened slowly and inside stood a woman who was barely dressed.

"Move, I'm coming in." Amon said as he looked down. There were steps leading down and the girl followed his instructions as she rushed back down.

"Let's go." he said as he glanced at Nyx and walked in before letting her walk past him.

After closing the trap door, he headed inside.

Unlike the previous house, this only had two rooms. A bathroom and a large room where they all worked.

There were multiple women and no men, with each of them only wearing panties and a bra. The smell was bad and they looked pretty weak and dirty but Amon did not make any comments.

He glanced at the carpets at one corner of the room that had pillows on them and then at the chemistry stations.

"What do you guys do here?" he asked as he looked at the girl closest to him.

"Just stay here until darkness ends and leave. You do not want yourself involved in this mess." the girl said as she barely glanced at him.

Her eyes paused at the place where Nyx stood before she looked away.

"Hmm… okay." Amon shrugged and walked straight towards the pile of boxes in another corner before he began opening them all up.

Like before, he found potions, equipment, drugs and skill scrolls but by the time he was at his tenth box, the girls had surrounded him.

He looked at them and glanced at the knives in their hands before going back to doing what he was originally doing.

Seeing this, the girls took a step forward with her arm raised up and ready to strike.

"Amon!! Behind you!" Nyx yelled from a few meters away, making Amon sigh inwardly, 'Right.. I forgot to tell her.'

Just as he was thinking, the knife stabbed into his back.

He slowly turned around and looked at the girl who had just stabbed him while he grabbed the knife that was lodged inside him.

She let go immediately as her hand went to her back, the place where she had just stabbed him in but for some reason, she felt the pain too.

"You…." she shrieked as she looked at her health notifications.

Amon maintained eye contact as he pulled the knife out. The red cut immediately healed himself without leaving a mark, making all the girls frown as they instantly turned wary of this stranger.

"I'm looking at something. Don't bother me." he said as he ignored the notifications of gaining a decent amount of mind points.

Then, he went back to the boxes and stored most of the items in them. Everything except drugs, which took up almost 60% of the boxes.

"Well, loot is loot I guess…" he muttered as he walked towards Nyx and patted her shoulder, "You shouldn't worry so much about me, but I'm kinda happy that you do."

She just glared at him in response for a few moments before pinching his arm, "How can I not worry?! What if you died? Well.. now I don't really know what's going on but my head feels heavy. You should be careful, Amon. What if that knife had poison? What if that girl was a high ranked awakened?"

Those were all valid points and Amon nodded as he held her hand and took her to an empty corner of the room.

"Well, I can always buy an antidote and…. let me just show you something. You'll understand why I wasn't really worried." he said as he shared his status info with her.

Nyx stared at the screen in front of her in awe before turning to look at Amon.

"You still a D ranker… how did you get so many stats?"

"Well… I got some good stuff from my streaming thing. My goal right now is to collect some random skill scrolls and since we have beef with the Red Baron gang, I thought I'd just take theirs instead of buying it directly."

"Two birds with one stone…" Nyx muttered and nodded, "We'll have to do our daily quest after darkness passes right?"

"Yup. We should. Then we'll go loot the other three places before going back home."
