As soon as Zoe's group arrived at the checkpoint, Hazel wasted no time and told Zoe and Anais their plan to take on the swarm and the queen. After explaining everything, the three of them then left the checkpoint and made their way over to the queen's location.
And they did this...by flying. Hazel enveloped all three of them in her telekinesis spell and willed them into the air before zipping across the bridge and buildings, heading toward the spider queen.
"So, you can fly?" Zoe questions, a bit surprised by witnessing Hazel's new ability firsthand.
"Considering that she's able to make us fly as well, this seems different than regular flight," Anais suggested. "If I had to guess, Hazel possesses some kind of Telekinetic spell."
"You're right on the money, Anais," Hazel admitted. "I have a spell that's called Telekinesis that allows me to lift objects or people without touching them. And after a bit of practice, I've discovered that I could do this."
While Hazel didn't want to reveal her cards in such a way, she had very few options since they needed to get to the queen and kill her as fast as possible. Astrid and the rest of the players were planning to hold the swarm back and keep them from returning to their queen, and protect her.
During that time, Hazel's group needed to use that opportunity to kill the queen and end this curse once and for all. Speaking of the queen, she wondered about telling Zoe and Anais about what the spider queen's description said before. Since the subject involved beings from the other worlds among them, they had every right to know.
Then again, the pair were bound to see the description anyway once they got a look at the queen herself, so she shouldn't have to tell them. If she did now, then that would expose another one of her abilities, though something told her that Zoe and Anais had an inkling regarding this ability.
"May I ask how you're able to fly when you're currently blind?" Anais asked. "Do you perhaps possess a skill or spell that allows you to see things from a different perspective? Like a scrying spell or something similar?"
Hazel faltered upon Anais's question, feeling a bit anxious about how accurate her deduction was. Were all mages from her world like this, or was she a special circumstance? Either way, this line of questioning wasn't her cup of tea. Especially when it involved her secrets.
"It seems you don't wish to tell us just yet," Zoe noted in a calm tone. "You don't have to tell us now, if you don't want to, Hazel. Though we hope that you will when you come to trust us more."
"...I'll keep that in mind." Hazel declared this while keeping her astral eye trained on what was ahead of her.
As the trio zipped across the city, they flew over the swarm that was currently making their way over to the other group. However, several of the spiders within the swarm began to change course and follow Hazel's group instead. She and the other two watched the spiders make a complete U-turn and started tailing behind them as they flew away.
"Well, they're certainly persistent," Hazel grumbled.
"Even if it's only the infants, it was only a matter of time before the other spider species started targeting us," Zoe grimaced.
"Then we should probably pick up the pace and get this over with," Anais declared.
"Got it," Hazel nodded.
She then accelerated along with Zoe and Anais as they ignored the swarm and closed in on the spider queen. The trio continued to fly for a little bit until one of them noticed something.
"Look, up ahead!" Anais told them. "I think I see the queen."
Zoe followed the sorcerer's line of sight before immediately catching sight of the spider queen that they were after. Her eyes then widened in shock at what she was seeing. "So, that's the spider queen, huh?"
Hazel didn't need to see because she'd been keeping an eye on the queen the entire time by occasionally switching between her astral eyes. Still, it didn't stop her from feeling nervous while being in the presence of the queen herself.

Looking ahead of them, Hazel and the others watched the queen, currently trailing behind her children as they marched toward their targets. Because of how big the swarm was compared to the previous waves they'd endured with them, the queen was quite a distance away from the checkpoint.
That made things easier for Hazel since they likely didn't have to worry about the reapers and the Arachne attacking them for a bit. Of course, that luck of theirs wasn't going to last long, so they needed to make this quick.
Getting closer to their target, it didn't take long before the queen noticed their presence as her eyes whipped up and glared directly at the flying trio. For a brief moment, Hazel and the other two were overwhelmed by a strong sense of dread that coursed over them, as if their instincts were warning them not to get any closer than they already were.
As soon as the queen spotted the trio, she let out a menacing hiss. "You! You were the ones who kept killing my children!" She pointed at the three of them in a threatening manner, practically accusing them of murder.
Before Hazel or the other two could do anything, they watched as a ball of fire materialized in front of the spider queen's hand. Then, responding to her will, the flaming sphere rocketed toward the trio with killing intent.
Seeing this, the trio panicked.
"Crap! Hang on!"
Hazel focused and mentally shifted themselves away from the fireball bolting toward them. They were able to narrowly avoid the attack as the flaming ball flew past them, completely missing its target.
Once they were in the clear, Hazel let out a sigh of relief. "Okay, so she can use magic. Noted." She nervously laughed, trying to ease her nerves after nearly getting shot down from the sky.
"Get us to ground level," Zoe told her. "Before she does that part herself."
"Right."
Hazel listened and brought all three of them down to the ground a little away from the spider queen. Seeing them land, the queen snarled before conjuring more spells to attack them. Other than a fireball spell, she also summoned a green substance in the shape of a bolt.
The spider queen fired the spell at the trio. Before getting hit, they scattered in opposite directions in an attempt to avoid the attack. When the spell hit the ground they stood on mere moments ago, it started to dissolve the concrete like acid.
"Fire and Acid...aren't those supposed to be her weak points or something?"
Ignoring Hazel's comment, Zoe charged at the queen with her sword raised in the air. As she ran, her blade emanated a pale blue light, telling Hazel that the knight was going to perform an aura blade strike.
Getting close to the queen, she slashed her sword, launching an aura wave at her. It zipped through the air, heading straight for its target. However, just before the aura wave could strike the queen, she raised her hands and summoned a mana shield, protecting her from the attack. The wave clashed against the barrier, releasing a small shockwave from the collision.
And when Hazel and the others looked at the queen's shield, they were surprised to see that it was unscathed. Not even a scratch was inflicted on the barrier, even though Zoe was the one who hurled the aura wave at her.
"Dammit...!" Zoe swore.
"Then how about this?" Anais declared while raising her staff.
She then summoned several fireballs that were bigger than a watermelon. The flaming spheres were then fired at the queen, only for her to summon the mana shield spell once again. Considering that she was able to conjure that spell again, the cooldown of her mana shield must be less than five seconds at least.
Before any of the players could try something else, the queen conjured more acid bolts and sent them flying toward her enemies. The players once again had to run around while avoiding the bolt, desperately avoiding getting a single drop of acid on them.
Hazel could tell that this fight was getting them nowhere, and if they kept this up, some of the swarm could come back and attack them. The last thing she needed was the reapers and Arachne showing up to protect their queen and making their job a lot harder.
Seeing no other option, Hazel reached for her blindfold to take it off and use her Evil Eyes. However, just when she was about to grab the cloth around her eyes, the queen's eyes darted over to her direction as she let out an angry hiss.
"Don't even think about it!"
Declaring this, the queen then shot a strand of web at Hazel, sticking to her face, and more importantly, her eyes.
"S-shit...!" Hazel clutched the webbing around her face, attempting to pull it off.
However, the web clung to her skin like super adhesive glue, preventing her from getting rid of it.
"I won't let you use those dreadful eyes like you did with my children!" The Spider Queen snarled.
It seemed that the queen knew about her evil eyes. But how? Hazel questioned this until she remembered her using her evil eyes on the Arachne from before. The spider queen must've used her children to act as her eyes so she could see everything. That was the only explanation as to why she knew about Hazel's eyes.
And if she knew about her Evil eyes, that meant she was likely aware of her Entropy Sickle as well. She still had twenty minutes or so left until she could use it again, and she could forget using her Entropy spell since she still had more than half a month left on that cooldown.
So, how was she going to deal with the queen...?
As Hazel pondered over this question, she heard Zoe shout something in alarm.
"We got incoming! The Arachne are here!"
In a panic, Hazel scanned the area with her astral eye before immediately spotting several Arachne rushing at them. They must've wasted too much time, and the queen's children soon caught on to Hazel's plan to kill their mother.
"Protect...mother!"
"Kill...the ones...that threaten her!"
Seeing the hybrids charge at them, Hazel, Anais, and Zoe prepared themselves for a fight on two fronts.
