My Magical System

Chapter 310: New season

Aahn!

As the woman moaned in pleasure, she noticed a black silhouette appeared behind her partner who was on top of her doing all the work. Her eyes widened. But before she could say anything, the black silhouette raised a silver object, and then a metallic glint appeared in the air that came across the naked man's neck.

Kaching!

The woman looked shocked as the head of her partner came off from its neck and it hit the wall on the header of the bed. After hitting the wall, it bounced on the bed and rolled on the ground.

Dark red stains smeared on the wall and on the bed and also on the floor where the head came in contact with in those quick moments.

The headless, lifeless body of the man fell on the bed and blood sprayed all over the room.

Realizing what had happened, Kyahhhhhh!!!

The woman screamed in panic but stopped a second later when a blade pierced her throat.

After wiping off the stain on the sword, the cold killer disappeared without saying a single word, leaving a grim scene.

The next morning, as promised, Eman told Zennie that he had already informed his merchant friend about her request.

Zennie was so teary-eyed, thankful to him. Eman just smiled at her and immediately stopped her action when he noticed she was about to kneel out of gratitude to him.

Eman also told her that his merchant friend would arrive in the village at noon. Zennie was surprised. She didn't think it was that fast because traveling from the capital city to this village would take a few days. And also, how was Eman able to inform his merchant friend just after a day? No matter how she thought about it, common sense just could not persuade her to believe it.

Although she didn't mean to say that Eman was lying to her, it just no matter how she thought about it, it was really hard to imagine how he did that in such a short time.

Seeing the little doubt on her face, Eman could read what was in her mind. He produced a dark rectangle object in his hand and placed it on the table.

"It's because of this," he said with a warm smile.

"What's that?"

"This is called a Walkie-talkie Radio."

"Walkie-talkie rad… what?"

Eman laughed wryly at her question.

"Here take this." He handed it to Zennie.

Instead of explaining, Eman thought it was better to just demonstrate it to her.

Zennie looked surprised when he produced the same device. Now, each one of them was holding a so-called Walkie-talkie.

She saw Eman bring his Walkie-talkie next to his mouth. Then the next second, "Eh!" Zennie was a little startled when the object in her hand made a sudden crackling noise. She almost threw it out of surprise.

"Hehe. Relax, it's just a voice transmitter." Zennie blinked her beautiful eyes when she heard Eman speak but his voice also came out from the object in her hand at the same time.

"Wait… Is this the so-called artifact that can transmit a person's voice?" She asked.

He understood what Zennie meant. In this world, there was an ancient artifact that functioned like a radio transmitter. If he recalled it right, then the name of that magical artifact is Voice of God. However, that Artifact has a very limited area. And it functioned more like telepathy than a radio.

Eman shook his head. "No, this is different." He then clarified to her what it was. He told her that it was a modern device, one of his merchant friend's products. In reality, it was an item from his former world. He also told her that it has a better communication range compared to the Voice of God artifact.

She asked him about the range. Eman replied, "…about 6 miles in flat grounds, but a little less if there were mountains."

"Wow."

Zennie looked very surprised and interested in the device.

After listening to Eman's explanation, she finally understood how Eman was able to inform his merchant friend in a short time only.

But how about the fact that his merchant friend would be arriving at noon? That's very fast.

Eman told her that he had a very fast-flying mount. He used it to fetch her. "A, a flying mount?" Zennie looked shocked. It was rare to own a flying mount. Not only were they hard to tame, but also, it was hard to catch one.

According to the book she read before, there were two types of flying mount you could tame. The first one was a type of giant bird and the second was dragons. Giant birds, although you could find some in some places, it wasn't easy to catch one. On the other hand, dragons were hostile and aggressive.

You needed to defeat one first to tame it. You could also befriend them but the chance of that to happen was very low because dragons were prideful creatures. Unless you're strong, they would not see you as someone worthy of their respect. That's why it's better to defeat them and force them to submit to you than try to befriend them.

Zennie was very glad to have met and befriended Eman. 'Such a good person,' she thought. Out of the blue, she asked him whether he had someone he cared about the most.

Eman without second thoughts answered her question, "My sister I guess." Of course, his sister was the most he cared about in this world.

"A-Aside from your family." Zennie's face was red.

Eman also turned slightly red when Zennie pointed that out. He remembered what happened last night. He crossed the line and touched Sol. He felt guilty for doing that, but he was just a person as well. Mistakes sometimes are unavoidable. He was trying to avoid doing that with her not because he disliked her, but because he wanted to treasure her as a comrade.

But now Eman has already crossed the line. The way he looked at Sol will not be the same from now on. He would be looking at her as someone of the opposite sex.

Zennie noticed a vibrant atmosphere from him.

Eman was about to say something but Eina stormed into the living room where the two of them were talking while taking their coffee.

"Brother! Look outside! The sun is out!" Eina shouted cheerfully.

"Ah, right, today is the start of a new season," Zennie said with a smile.

It looked like winter had just ended.
