Everyone was staring at him. Without even voicing out their thoughts, he could tell what was in their minds. They were hoping he would grant Zennie's request.
Eman opened his mouth to stop Zennie's action.
"You don't need to lower your head, Miss Zennie. I understand your situation. Alright, I see what I can do, but I can't guarantee success. I will try to contact that merchant but give me one day. If it's fine with you."
Hearing what he said, everyone's faces were filled with joy.
"Y-Yes, of course. Thank you very much, Lord Eman!" Zennie said enthusiastically.
Eman formed a friendly smile. "In exchange, can we just call each other without honorifics?" It was the second time he asked this.
For some reason, after hearing that, Zennie's face turned slightly red suddenly. Eman wondered if it was weird to ask that. Isn't it more friendly to call each other by their given names only? He thought.
"Uh… eh, yes, of course! If that's what you, Lord Eman, want. Uh I mean, E-Eman…" she looked bashful and flustered when she said that.
Suddenly, Rossbert looked at him with a grinning face. Eman looked at him suspiciously.
Noticing his troubled face, Rossbert quickly whispered something into his ears. Eman looked dumbfounded when he heard it. The thing is, there was a custom in Rothsport City. When a boy and a girl of the same noble status called each other by their given names without honorifics, it was equivalent to having deep affection toward each other.
No wonder Zennie looked bashful. That must be the reason for it.
But since it was a custom from Rothsport Town only, it also means that it didn't apply to other places in the empire. He voiced out that it was only for formality and also to deepen their friendship. There was no hidden meaning behind his request.
"Uh, yes, I understand. I know that's not what you mean in the first place, Eman. But I-I'm glad that you want to deepen our friendship."
Although she said that, her voice was trailed with regret and shyness when she said that.
After the talk regarding medicine concluded, their conversation naturally drifted to some other topics. One of them was about how the people in Merc Town started seeing the mysterious people as their saviors. Some of them even made sculptures of them in different sizes. The appearances were based on the information they gathered, especially from those who saw those people.
That said, Rossbert was being pestered by the people there day by day when they learned that he came along with the mysterious masked man when they rescued those Imperial Soldiers.
Since more and more people were starting to come to ask him for some information, Zennie decided to leave the town as fast as they could.
Hearing that, Eman was greatly surprised. He did not expect them to go to such an extent.
Mister Klaus and Eman also talked about the waterwheel built by his employees. Eman told him that their craft was first class. It was finished right on time despite the weather being unfavorable.
Hearing that, Klaus looked relieved.
After their talks, he asked them to stay in the village for the meantime while he would try to contact the merchant.
The three of them agreed. It was better than traveling back to the nearest town from the village. And besides, his mansion was big enough to accommodate all of them.
In the evening, Eman entered his Lord's Domain. It was about time that he'd receive another report from Dos.
As expected, when he arrived at his house, Dos was already in the living room, talking with Little Sky.
When they saw him, the two looked in his direction and quickly greeted him.
"My lord! My lord! Welcome back!" Little Sky greeted in her always cheerful voice.
"Yes, I'm back."
"Welcome back, My lord. How's your day?" In contrast to Sky's cheerful voice, Dos' voice was calm and collected as always.
Even his attire right now well-suited his personality. Currently, he was wearing a back suit vest over his white long sleeves. It was paired with black pants and glossy black shoes. In his hands, he wore a pair of black gloves. He looked sophisticated no matter how he looked at him.
Not gonna lie, he could be a school hottie if by chance he was living on earth, and might even become a celebrity.
Little Sky as always showed her bright smile and her angelic face. He wished to have a daughter like her in the future.
Sky tilted her head.
"My lord?"
Perhaps noticing his sudden silence, she called out his name.
Ahem!
Clearing his thoughts, Eman replied. "Nothing. Let's start."
Eman sat on a sofa, facing Dos, who was on the opposite sofa. Between them was a small round table with a glass platform.
Dos handed Eman all the documents. It was inside a brown envelope.
"All the reports are inside, my lord."
"I see. Thanks."
He took it and opened it, taking the papers inside.
Once reading them, a frown appeared on his face. But the frown just lasted for a second before a grin replaced it.
After a couple of minutes, Eman finished reading all the reports.
"It looks like everyone did all their tasks smoothly. Because of this, we can proceed to the next step of our plan," after saying that, a glint flashed in his eye.
"Yes, my lord."
Eman then handed Dos their next tasks. Dos was about to leave right after receiving the tasks, but Eman stopped him and asked him to stay a bit longer.
"As you wish, my lord." He wondered if there was something else that his lord needed. But it was the first time that his lord asked him to stay a bit longer. Although he was curious for the reason, he could not bring himself to ask him. A mere mortal like him has no right to question his lord's decision.
Right after nodding, his lord's silhouette suddenly disappeared in front of him in the blink of his eyes. Only the faint voice saying, "I'll be right back…" left in the air.
That was surprising, but there was no trace on Dos' face that he was surprised by it. He believed his lord was capable of everything.
"Eh? Where's, my lord?" Little Sky, who had just arrived in the living room with a tray of fruits in her hands, asked when he saw an empty sofa where his lord was supposedly sitting.
Hearing her angelic voice, Dos looked in her direction and blushed.
"He left just now."
"Eh? He left before you?"
That was surprising. Mostly, it was Dos who'd be leaving first.
"Uh, he asked me to stay a bit longer. Perhaps he had something he needed to do first. He said he'll be back."
"Ah, I see."
Just a second ago, he was in front of Dos, but now, he was standing in front of EDP's domain.
Noticing his presence, the human-faced creatures that were guarding the entrance immediately screamed.
"The almighty one!"
"Eh, the almighty one is here?"
Everyone turned stiff when they spotted him.
"Where's the Elder?" Eman asked them.
"The creator is inside his room of making, Almighty One!" One of them replied.
'Room of making?' Lol, they probably meant his laboratory.
Eman then entered without caring about the guards. None of them blocked his path. They just stood there frozen in fear. They could not anger such a being that was higher than their creator.
