Creakkkkkk
The Dorm gate of the blue faction opened, and Kate entered. Her eyes darted around the lounge as she moved toward her room. Suddenly, she paused, her eyes widened. Zara and Aslan were sitting by the hearth. Zara was chatting with him cheerfully and giggling occasionally.
'What happened? Zara didn't know Kauffman the day before. And she is not the type of person who could get so close to someone in a day? Kate scowled as she thought. She approached the pair and asked, "Zara, how are you?"
Both turned quiet. Aslan looked at Kate with a smile and stood up. Zara stared at her with confused eyes. She replied, "Princess, nothing happened to me."
Kate's eyes widened, and after a moment, a sigh escaped from her mouth. She smiled at her. "Okay, see you later."
She glared at Aslan and walked away. Aslan frowned and thought, 'Was Kate Hyperion close to her? I knew they were roommates. But that's a problem if they're closer. And this stupid girl seemed to have lost some memories. Side effects of the potion? He shook his head and sat down.
"Do you not get along with Princess?" Zara asked curiously
"No, that's not it. I'm a Kauffman, we get along with everyone, but I don't know the youngest princess personally." Aslan replied with a smile.
"Hmm, same for me. We have been roommates for a week, but we rarely talk to each other. I think she is an introvert." Zara replied, glancing at where Kate had left.
"Oh, that's a quiet insight," Aslan commented.
Zara's face turned red, and she averted her eyes from him. Aslan's smirk widened, and he continued showering her with compliments. Shaila noticed the pair but didn't come closer. She acted like a robot and maintained her distance.
As midnight approached, they were still chatting and laughing. Aslan stood up and yawned, "Let's meet tomorrow at breakfast. You must be tired. Get some sleep."
Zara stood up and nodded with a dreamy smile, "Yes, you're right. Goodnight."
As Zara entered her room, she noticed Kate sitting near the window. Zara didn't say a word; she moved toward her bed and lay down.
"Zara, didn't I ask you not to call me princess, just Kate?" Kate asked, gazing outside the window.
Zara opened her eyes and sat up. She asked, "Did you? When?"
Kate frowned at her and asked, "Do you remember Victor?"
"Of course, how could I forget him. The loser of Elarion School and my childhood friend. Maybe he wasn't. I don't care." Zara replied with a laugh.
Kate's eyes widened, and she jerked upright. She jumped at Zara and examined her face closely.
"Princess!" Zara shouted and backed away.
She glared at dumfounded Kate and screamed, "What the hell!"
Kate came back to her senses, and she backed away. 'What is going on? Did she lose her memories? But why? Then the memory of this morning's training flashed before her eyes. Did that trauma affect her? But, why would she forget the memories of Victor?'
"Princess! Please keep your distance from me." Zara bellowed.
Kate came back to her senses and glanced at her. She nodded and sat back down.
'What is going on? Zara's whole personality has changed in just a day. She didn't lose her memories, but everything she felt for Victor has changed.' Kate frowned.
'I have to tell him. No, I must.' Kate thought.
In a forest covered in darkness, with moonlight passing through the foliage of trees, Lyla roamed around the forest. Her pale blue eyes were darting around the shadows, scanning everything in her vision. The chirping sounds of crickets and the rustling of the leaves echoed in the silent forest. There was no fear in her eyes, and her heart beat remained normal. Her lips whispered only one name again and again. "Zack, Brother. Zack, Brother."
She kept searching for her brother, even though she knew it was impossible. The two crimson eyes followed her closely, hidden under the shadows. It felt like the darkness was his ally, hiding him from any perception. Zack kept following Lyla. He whispered, "I have already died. Please return to your world and stop searching for me, sister."
Lyla's ear twitched as she heard the rustling sound again. She turned and gazed directly into the shadows. Zack froze, 'Did she see me?'
"Zack, I know you're here. Brother, please talk to me." Lyla shouted.
Zack stopped breathing and froze. Lyla's eyes wandered around a bit longer, as she didn't hear another sound, she started moving onward. Zack breathed a sigh of relief and ran back to his cave. On the way, he gazed at the incomplete Moon and muttered, "I still have to wait 25 days for the full Moon."
But Lyla didn't give up and kept searching for him throughout the forest.
Back into the castle, in Victor's room, a shout echoed.
"Victor!"
Victor's face winced, and his heavy eyelids opened slightly. Through his drowsy vision, he noticed a furious Elf glaring at him.
"Victor!" A scream almost shattered his eardrums.
He scrunched his face and sat up with a groan. He yawned and massaged his eyes. His vision cleared, and he spotted Luke with large green eyes staring at him.
"I can hear you fine, Luke. Why are you screaming?" Victor replied in his thick and sleepy voice.
"Did you realize what you have done last night?" Luke bellowed.
Victor frowned and tried to remember what had happened the previous night. His hazy memories became clear, and he remembered Zara. His face turned solemn.
"You drank the whole 100ml bottle worth 1000CP of the Dwarven Saki. Do you not remember that?" Luke growled, leaning over his face.
Victor backed away and smiled awkwardly, "Hey, Luke, don't come so close, and yes, I remember. Hahaha, but you offered it to me."
Luke backed away with a red face, remembering last night's words. "Ahem, anyway, I need you to reimburse me."
Victor stood up and scratched his head. "About that…"
Luke turned and gazed at him with narrowed eyes. "What?" He questioned.
"Aren't you rich? Why are you crying over a thousand CP?" Victor asked.
"My family's rich, not me," Luke replied.
"Isn't it the same thing. Anyway, I'm not planning to return you 1000CP for the time being." Victor replied, walking toward the door.
"Wait," Luke screamed.
Victor rolled his eyes and asked, "What now? Aren't we getting late for the training?"
