The Paranoid Elf Queen Turned Me Into Her Sister

Ch. 105

105 – Shameless Spam, but It Works

You had to admit—Felicia really was tough. Despite having poor resistance to alchemy, she hadn’t gone down after being bombarded for so long with alchemical grenades raining down like a storm.

Eventually, Teresa ran out of alchemy flasks and found herself blinking blankly at the knight girl lying face-down on the ground—her armor soaked in potion, hair dripping wet.

Felicia’s flushed cheeks were streaked with glistening lines. She clutched the hilt of her greatsword, still seemingly trying to stand.

"That was... a thoroughly satisfying attack... but I can’t afford to fall here."

Realizing she’d be worn down to death at this rate, Felicia plunged her greatsword into the ground, conjuring platinum crystals around herself in an attempt to shield against the incoming alchemical potions.

However, while this makeshift barrier could somewhat block direct alchemical projectiles, it couldn’t stop wide-area effect potions like flashbangs.

From a high angle, Teresa tossed another flash.

BOOM!

A burst of blinding white flooded the battlefield.

Felicia had had enough. She shattered the surrounding crystals with a swing, sending sharp shards flying in every direction like bullets.

Faced with this flurry of high-speed crystal shrapnel, Teresa raised her radiant cross-sword with both hands and took a deep breath.

Ever since her bow had shattered, she could feel a complete transformation—almost like being reborn.

Her perception had changed dramatically.

Now, every slash of a blade, every arrow, every bullet—it all looked slowed down. Like the world itself had been switched to 0.25x playback speed.

Swinging her cross-sword, Teresa moved like a golden ginkgo leaf in a storm: vulnerable in appearance, but untouched by even a feather.

This reprieve gave Felicia time to recover her vision—and she once again charged forward.

Before the match began, Divine Child Yaline had already analyzed the colorful assortment of vials hanging at Teresa’s waist. Her conclusion? They were probably all healing potions—stamina recovery, wound mending, and so on.

After all, the general perception of alchemists was still stuck in the past: mostly seen as healers or combat-support types. Few developed offensive or disruptive concoctions—too expensive and inefficient.

One high-grade flash potion could cost more than a mid-tier healing potion. No market, no demand—so alchemists never bothered developing the "interference" or "attack" branches, resulting in their public image as watered-down priest-class Divine Princesses.

But that was far from the truth.

A well-funded, well-stocked alchemist could be irreplaceable in battle—anything but dead weight.

Felicia was now a vivid example of this. With no experience fighting against such "spam-type" alchemists, she had been thoroughly outplayed—flashed, burned, blasted. She’d completely lost her rhythm.

Now, facing the human flash grenade that was Teresa, Felicia relied purely on instinct.

She saw Teresa ready another flash potion and instantly raised her greatsword like a shield.

Which, unfortunately, also completely blocked her own view.

Seeing this, Teresa smiled faintly, faked a throw, then calmly reinserted the safety pin. Instead, she pulled out a vial containing an oily liquid—an alchemical fire potion.

In Blue Star’s terminology, this type of weapon had a very recognizable nickname: Napalm Grenade.

BOOM! BOOM!

The fire-oil splashed across Felicia’s sword, and the flames crept along the blade and onto her armor.

With only three-star alchemical resistance, the knight-princess’s armor began to carbonize and melt under the alchemical flames.

You could cheat your way into high physical defense.

You could cheat for magic resistance. And with a good enough priest, you could even cheat your way into Divine Authority resistance.

But there were four resistances in total. No matter how high your stats, at most you could max out three. Like the countless pressure points on the human body, you couldn’t guard them all.

And against alchemical fire... Felicia didn’t even flinch. As if unaware of the flames crawling across her armor, she charged at Teresa without hesitation.

A flicker of surprise passed through Teresa’s eyes.

Felicia should’ve been terrified of alchemical attacks. Her Divine Authority and Domain had no alchemy-resisting effects.

Which left only one explanation: She was enduring the fire through sheer willpower.

Felicia’s burning greatsword came down, now enchanted by the oil—if it landed, the flames would leap onto Teresa’s body.

Teresa didn’t dodge. Hiding a flash potion in her palm, she raised her sword and met the blow head-on.

The cross-greatsword and the crown greatsword clashed, spraying sparks everywhere.

With her knees slightly bent, and the buffs from her broken bow still active, Teresa’s speed and power had drastically improved. Paired with refined redirection technique and excellent swordsmanship, she faced Felicia head-on without the slightest disadvantage.

“No way?! Teresa can go toe-to-toe with Felicia in melee now?!” The crowd was dumbfounded.

Felicia’s sword, now essentially enchanted, was clearly meant to weaponize Teresa’s own alchemy against her—bite down and burn.

But Teresa had already anticipated this. As she felt the heat blast against her face, she threw the hidden flash grenade and ducked.

CRACK!

Felicia’s vision went white again.

Teresa rolled past her, yanked another safety pin, and lobbed a roaring alchemy flask at Felicia’s exposed back.

BOOM! BOOM!

Already scorched, battered, and burned from continuous alchemical attacks, Felicia finally began to show signs of exhaustion.

At this point, she decided to stop holding back.

She was going to unleash her trump card—Divine Might—and settle it in one blow.

Crystal shards began forming around her sword, spiraling into a deadly cyclone—But in the very next second, they fizzled out like an engine stalling.

Divine Might activation failed.

Felicia was stunned.

Out of Authority power? Impossible.

She always did the math—there should’ve been enough left to activate Divine Might.

Unless…

Felicia suddenly remembered something from her Intro to Magic and Alchemy class: Some magical or alchemical attacks had a depletion effect—Magic could reduce one of your resistances. Alchemy could reduce your Authority reserves...

Could it be? Amid all the bombardment, one of those potions had drained her Authority?

The realization struck her like thunder.

She had no experience fighting offensive (spam-type) alchemists, and naturally missed this detail.

But it wasn’t exactly her fault. Even Teresa hadn’t known that.

She’d just picked the attack potions that Felicia was least resistant to—and gone all in.
