Such a simple technique, turning one's own power upon yourself and yet so powerful for those starting out. While the power at low levels can only pressure people. The lack of physical effect makes the technique perfect.
No actual weight or force is being placed on the body. Yet it acts like it connected you to a bunch of lightweight resistance bands or you were wearing a tight elastic bodysuit. The only question is how to teach it to Lily.
In fact, Jason didn't technically know how to do it either. Though that was more because it wouldn't work on him. After all, the technique strengthens a person's physical body and Jason has been working at not having one of those.
Jason took a moment to consider Lily before sighing. She wasn't quite ready for the technique. Sure, it might be simple to use, but the mental gymnastics needed to set it up for the first time were a little up there. With a shake of his, he turns his thoughts to how to train her strength.
It should be easy enough for her to learn, usable in combat, as that was going to be the best way to train her Strength. Though once that went through Jason's mind, the answer was obvious. Lily could already use Energized claw attacks and so an extended Energy blade could do the trick.
Sure, the blades wouldn't in and of themselves weigh anymore, they would require extra strength to use. Not much, but enough to focus her stat growth more towards being stronger. It wouldn't counter the Agility bias, not that Jason wanted that, so this change should be fine. Which just left the actual act of teaching her the new move.
Lily was already able to clad her claws in Energy, so it was just getting her to extend that Energy. Of course, since it was Energy and not Mana, there would be a limit on length, but Jason was fine with the limitation as laser swords were a bit overdone. Though Lily shouldn't have too much of a problem and seems to have a decent amount of extension on her Energy. After all, Lily practically doubled her size by extending Energy off of her fur.
In fact, since Lily could do that, she was already capable of doing both aspects of the technique. With that all in mind, it still took Jason three days to teach the technique to her. An honestly short amount of time to get the basics of such a technique. Though likely just the result of hooking into her two main inherent abilities.
As a side benefit, it helped Jason lay down the vocabulary he would need to use when teaching her the body training technique. Or rather, that's what he assumed would be needed, as after a day of rest, he attempted to teach Lily the body technique.

Well, attempted isn't the right word for it. He taught her the technique. It is just that Lily practically didn't need his help. After explaining the basics, she was able to jump right into using it.
There were no stumbling or false starts. Though there was one thing that Jason missed. Likely in some forgotten past, the original technique had been figured out not from copying some mythical beast, as many of the original methods of cultivation tended to be. Rather, the technique came from the observation of human rulers and Lily's use draws deeply upon that connection.
If Jason had someone to compare her Energy use to, he would be able to notice, but there is neither another cultivator nor royalty around to figure it out. Not that it technically matters. The way Lily figured out the technique will work in exactly the same way what Jason was trying to teach would have. Still, now that Lily had learned a couple of new things, it was time to put them into practice.
The body technique was simple to use, just have it active as often as possible. Even using it during a fight wasn't the end of the world as Lily had more than enough Agility to overpower the reduction in dexterity.
Though Lily wasn't quite yet able to use it in battle for other reasons. High on the list being that she didn't have enough Energy yet. Not the end of the world, of course, and Jason was able to admit to himself he preferred it that way. After all, there is a big difference between not being encumbered and being able to fight through it.
Of course, without any tough fights, all of these changes don't exactly show quick results. Still, over the next month of travel to the next true danger zone, both Lily and Jason experience significant growth.
Because Jason wasn't slacking off. He might have managed to star two stats, but Strength wasn't exactly his strong suit. The question was, what could he do to improve it?
So far, he has gotten small increases here and there from fighting, but it isn't exactly like he has muscles to pump iron with. That meant his Strength gains should be coming from something other than simple actions. Then again, after a certain point, that will always be true. Muscles can only lift so much.
Jason pauses and shakes his head. As far as he knew, muscles can only lift so much. For someone who has seen more truths about reality than most, he shouldn't be so restrictive on what can and cannot be. However; his old world, current world, and the world of NeoRealm all seemed to fit into a similar box. With that in mind, there was a reason why high level cultivators from his last life strove to become beings of energy and thought.
Not that Jason thought those beings at level cap are at that stage yet. While it was true that becoming pure power was a goal. The strength of the body can go farther than even what his current world would believe, and they have people capable of ripping apart steel with their bare hands. Still, while the ones who did seek to become power did tend to have quite the high attainment in their cultivation, they weren't the only ones with post-meat bodies.
Jason being one such example, though only partially. The rules enforced by the System still held him back. Not that he wanted to lose his body, but his true body had extended beyond normal physical reality.
