Apocalypse: My Talent Is Infinite

Chapter 66: The Will of God

Mana began to drain from within a two-mile radius around Aron, spiraling toward the heavens.

The clouds darkened, and thunder screamed as if the sky itself was in pain.

From every direction, lightning gathered into a single point above him.

Within moments, a ball of lightning formed, followed by another, and another.

It all happened so fast, within mere milliseconds, that before long, hundreds of thousands of lightning spheres illuminated the sky.

Aron, whose body had turned into living lightning, trembled violently.

Blood oozed from his eyes and ears, showing that the power he was controlling was far above his rank and too much for his body to bear.

"Cough...!" Aron spat out a mouthful of blood.

Even so, he gritted his teeth and stood firm as the thunderstorm raged.

More lightning spheres continued to appear without pause.

Jergenmay, realizing something was amiss, tried to stop whatever attack he was preparing.

She charged toward Aron, who was already fully engrossed, completely unaware of his surroundings.

He was barely holding control over the countless bolts of lightning in the sky.

His eyes shone as lightning whipped around him, blood trickling from his nose, eyes, ears, and mouth.

One of the lightning whips that danced around Aron suddenly lashed out toward her.

The moment it neared, the feeling of death engulfed her.

Acting on instinct, she raised her blade to block.

BOOM!

The lightning struck, but instead of dispersing, it coiled around her sword and whipped toward her chest.

Blood sprayed from her mouth like a crimson shower as she was hurled backward.

Her body crashed into the spectators, who had been holding their breath (and even tighter, their anuses) in terror, hoping not to be noticed.

They envied those who had already fled.

BOOOOM!

Jergenmay's body slammed into them, turning several into minced meat.

A crater formed where she fell, her armor and dagger vanishing, no one knew whether she was alive or dead.

It all happened so fast that the spectators didn't even see what had struck them.

In an instant, panic spread like wildfire.

Everyone scattered, running for their dear lives.

Meanwhile, Aron's clones, who had been busy fighting D-One and Ana, were caught off guard when one of the clones suddenly had its head bitten off.

The body dissolved into particles.

The remaining clones, seeing one of their own die, turned their gazes toward a massive, serpent-like monster exuding the aura of a Transcendent Rank.

Atop it stood a man wearing a wide-brimmed hat.

Without hesitation, the clones charged together.

Lightning flashed as they attacked the snake, each blow wearing it down bit by bit.

Lord Moonlight, who sat atop the serpent, wore a grave expression.

"Where do you think you're all running to?!" he shouted.

"If D-One dies, we all die! No matter where you hide, it won't matter!"

His voice echoed like thunder, freezing the hearts of the fleeing spectators.

Upon hearing his words, dread and helplessness filled their faces.

A few stopped and turned back to fight, their despair twisting into determination.

Others ignored him entirely and continued running as if their lives depended on it, which, in fairness, they did.

Above them, lightning filled the heavens.

A single figure floated among thousands of orbs, arms spread wide, lightning dancing wildly around him.

Aron focused only on his attack, unaware of everything else.

The sky rumbled as large amounts of water appeared in midair, mana draining from the surrounding area.

He began merging the hundreds of thousands of lightning spheres, using the water to fuse them together.

"Cough...!" He spat more blood, his breathing heavy.

Controlling the attack grew harder by the second.

His arms, already spread wide, slowly began to close as the lightning and water spheres compressed into one.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Aron's body began to crack and tear, with blood seeping from his glowing skin.

Yet, without hesitation, he continued the motion.

He focused entirely on the attack, ignoring the system notifications that spammed crazily before his eyes.

[Congratulations! You are the first person to reach the Divine Rank on Solara!]

Aron didn't stop.

The colossal lightning mass compressed further, shrinking to the size of a stadium.

Space itself began to distort, drawing the attention of those still fighting below.

The clones took advantage of their distraction, killing several of them instantly.

Lord Moonlight gritted his teeth as he tried to pull D-One away, but the clones blocked his path again and again.

His expression darkened when he looked up at the sky.

"This is bad…" he muttered.

D-One, who had been unconscious, suddenly snapped his eyes open, and a female scream burst out of his throat as Aron's attack continued to tear through the heavens.

Aron, unsatisfied with the power he had gathered, clenched his jaw.

His eyes burned with madness as he continued compressing the lightning.

His body tore further, but he didn't care.

The once-golden lightning turned deep blue, and his hair flared wildly in the storm.

He wanted to kill them, no matter what it took.

He had already made his choice and he would make sure to see it through.

[God Rank incomplete...]

Ding… Ding… Ding…

Three clear chimes echoed across the world.

Every being froze in place, even Aron's clones.

When the sound faded, the enormous lightning mass had condensed into a single orb no larger than a basketball.

Water encased it, and the lightning within glowed an intense, deep blue.

Aron floated like a war god in the storm.

Blood covered his face, his eyes glowing faintly beneath it.

He slowly turned his head toward D-One, the only one still screaming and writhing on the ground in that warped, feminine voice.

Lord Moonlight's hat suddenly morphed into a worm, swallowed him and the snake whole, and disappeared from the battlefield.

Aron raised his hand.

The orb followed the motion, and space itself began to tear apart.

Those below couldn't move.

The air grew heavy.

The approaching orb, despite its speed, seemed to crawl toward them in slow motion.

It was as if time itself wanted them to witness their doom.

Fear. Despair. Indignation. Those were the only emotions left in their hearts.

And in that frozen moment, a single thought echoed in their minds...

The Will of God.
