"Qwy…"
Now that I have seen different skills in action, I understand just how different skills have different influences on different things.
'Simple skills of <F> to <D> rank are more of an everyday skill that the people use on daily bases.'
These skills are not too complex or don't really have a high energy cost. On the other hand, skills of higher grade than that consume a good amount of energy and may even lead to exhaustion after a single use.
'The same is the case with the <S> rank skills.'
The <S> rank skills are more conditional and use a large amount of energy. Be it Mana or Aura, these skills may render even the strong people weakened after only a single use.
That is also the reason the higher ranked skills are perceived as ultimate skills.
People don't really understand how difficult these skills are to use though.
'And the same is the case with the skills of even higher grades.'
My new skill, {Sage Origin} is a power that's derived from the skill that I originally possessed as an innate skill, my {Task division}.
Considering how the innate skills are abilities that you're born with, I guess the innate skills that I have are derived from my abilities from my previous world.
'The task division was probably a result of all the mental labor I have done till now. The other skills, similarly, must be something that was derived from the things I had done in my previous life.'
Considering how a being like the administrator was the one who sent me here, there is a high chance that they made the skill more useful to me like they did with Rose.
Additionally, this might also be the doing of the White Gate that brought me to this world… yeah, that white gate. I almost forgot about it for a while.
"What do you think that is, baby? Will we see it again…?"
The white gate was something that made even the administrators stunned.
From how they reacted to my words when I mentioned the white gate and how they already seemed to be aware of the otherworlders, this world most certainly has seen a bunch of other world people.
They may have been used to seeing beings of the other world, but not those who were brought here by the white gate…
"Qwy?"
Even the little one didn't know what I was talking about. I mean, she hasn't seen much of this world like me so it's understandable she doesn't understand why I want to know about that white gate.
But then again, if it's meant to be, we will come across that thing once again. Or at least, get a clue about it in the future.
"Anyway…"
It's the day of the funeral and I am dressed in all black.
Reddy and I will go there together but as she is out for some work in the city right now, I have some free time on my hands.
"Aside from the skill, what else did we get Rose?"
[ "Master, is it finally time to talk about the rewards you obtained?" ]
"Yup."
Yesterday was a little too difficult so right after we got out of the mind space of the dungeon, I turned off all of the notifications and asked Rose to take care of the rest of the announcements.
I was in no condition to pay attention to any of that amidst the ongoing chaos, so after we were done with the clean-up, I came back and stuck around with Reddy.
After a good morning with her face right beside me in the bed– sadly with a clothed body– and a fun bath that we did not take together, I was feeling a little better.
Breakfast was done, I was ready, Reddy was gone, and I had the place to myself now. So with some time on our hand and people gathering around the streets of the city below me, I watched the scene as Rose started listing out the rewards.
[ "First of all, you finished the system quest and received the set rewards for cleaning the quest with each condition fulfilled." ]
[Ding!]
[You have cleared a quest!]
[You have obtained Architect EXP (+500).]
[You have obtained Coins (+20000).]
[You have obtained Creation Units (+120).]
[You have obtained Essence Points (+90).]
[As an additional reward for clearing special conditions, you have obtained: The soul of the defeated White Scale Naga.]
[As an additional reward for clearing the quest with limited casualties, you have obtained: an Unknown Ring.]
-Ooooooooooooong!
A colorful bead the size of a potato appeared before me, shining with stunning colors of white and its shades. It resembled the Naga mother that isn't among us anymore, but, unlike how it was in the dungeon, she seemed more free, and more alive here as a mere soul.
Also, there was a familiar thing that appeared along with it.
"Oho? So we finally have the second half."
I got an unknown ring when I first went to the dungeon through the front gate. And now, I am getting the second one.
The two rings were a pair and seemed to be a key to something but now that I have both of them, I'll finally get to see what they actually are.
[ "In addition to the system rewards, the dungeon also presented appropriate compensation and rewards for your actions." ]
Another bunch of windows popped up before me, but unlike the previous pink ones, these ones were green that you only see inside the dungeon.
[Ding!]
[The dungeon recognizes your abilities as a Guest Architect as well as your potential to help the dungeon as an Anarchist.]
[The dungeon has thus categorised you as a Guest Dungeon Architect Anarchiest.]
[For being the first to be classified as the dungeon as a unique case, you have obtained the following rewards.]
[You have obtained Architect EXP (+200).]
[You have obtained Coins (+2000).]
[You have obtained Creation Units (+50).]
[You have obtained Essence Points (+80).]
[As an apology for not understanding your initial actions, you have obtained following rewards from the dungeon as an apology.]
[You have obtained Coins (+100000).]
[You have obtained Creation Units (+150).]
[You have obtained Essence Points (+180).]
[As a reward for helping the dungeon with the understanding of deeper mortal nature, you have obtained the following rewards from the dungeon.]
[You have obtained: A box of Elixers.]
[You have obtained: Tome of intermediate magic (Book).]
[You have obtained: Blueprint– Tower dungeon layout.]
[Dungeon also recognizes your achievement of having learned the dungeon's innate language code.]
[You have obtained the title: <Dungeon Source Code Decoder>.]
With that, a pink status window also popped up before me.
[As an achievement reward for your actions within the dungeon, you have obtained the skill: {Enchantment strings}.]
I thought that was it, but sadly that was not the case.
A blue status window popped up next.
[Your base stat <Energy> will be replaced with Special Stat: <World Energy>.]
A surge of new energy happened out of nowhere and I felt much stronger than I ever had.
This time, I was pretty confident that if I punch the dungeon wall, there will at least be some impact.
Even if I miss out on putting a hole in that wall, there will be something on that wall.
Also, the entire world around me now seemed different compared to just now.
"Qwy~!"
Just like my happy baby, I could feel the nature around me more clearly now.
This new 'energy' was different from the abstract energy that I already had from the start. It felt more fluid, as if I could bring it out of my body if I just focused a little.
[ "Congratulations, master." ]
I somehow knew I shouldn't do anything foolish so I didn't try anything that might burn this place down.
Instead, controlling my emotions and gathering everything that I just got, I smiled and looked outside of the glass wall.
Right below me, people were making their way to the central plaza of the city where the funeral for all the people who had passed away during the incident was taking place.
I was here, standing, smiling, happy. And there they were… mourning.
"Let's put it all aside for now again, Rose."
For now, while this was a moment of celebration, I should not be too happy about this.
These rewards were only obtained because something happened. Some people died and some things changed.
I was not the same person I was yesterday, or when I entered the dungeon for the raid.
There were people who feared what kind of powers I might have or what I might even be… some did not consider me a human anymore, and some, even with their immense experience, feared me.
"Qwy? Qwy…"
[ "Understood, master." ]
Qwy was sad while all the enthusiasm present in Rose's voice was gone now.
She was excited about a few things, I could tell that much, but as overwhelming as these rewards were, I was even more overwhelmed with the fact that we were going to a funeral where the people would be looking at me with different eyes.
'It's not going to be fun.'
If anything, I'm afraid I'll cause trouble for the other people around me once again…
