Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1021: 1018: Unleashing Everything

Corey had always wondered how it would feel when he killed his first Immortal. Immortals were an existence that were far too powerful and mysterious to him, they had the ability to destroy worlds if they so wished, and such power was beyond his capabilities.

Corey had thought that he might feel ecstatic killing Anton, but he felt nothing, and he absolutely did not feel a tinge of pride killing him because he knew that it was not with his power he was able to kill Anton.

However, that did not stop the Universal System from sending him a series of notifications.

He merely glanced at the notifications before ignoring them. His eyes transformed into his Tri-Pupil Eyes, and he was about to send Anton's body parts into his Tri-Pupil Eyes, but his instincts flared and he vanished from where he stood.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

Half a dozen weapons slammed into his previous position, completely shattering the ground, and Corey looked at Pope Arzhel with a light frown.

"Your instincts and reaction speed are disgustingly annoying. I thought for sure you were going to die from that sneak attack."

Corey's expression slowly became indifferent, and then he transferred the Book of Death into his Tri-Pupil Eyes.

With a calm and utterly indifferent expression, he slowly approached Pope Arzhel.

"Oh? Now you're approaching me with that sort of calm? Do you think you can defeat me so easily, boy? I'm not like that dead fool over there."

Corey did not slow down his steps one bit as he approached Pope Arzhel.

His Genesis Armament vanished into his Tri-Pupil Eyes, stunning Pope Arzhel, and then changed began to occur on Simon's body.

A heartbeat resounded from his heart, echoing across space and time in the dimension of the world tree, and then it was followed by the majestic cry of a phoenix.

Pope Arzhel's eyes widened when he saw something he never expected behind Corey. It was a hazy image of a phoenix covered in grey flames crying to the heavens in pride and fury, and Pope Arzhel nearly fell on his knees due to the insignificance he felt toward the phoenix.

The hazy scene vanished, and he looked at Corey. He was stunned when he saw that two massive grey wings had appeared behind Corey.

And that was not all.

Corey willed for his Devourer's Armor to awaken, and awaken it did.

A sharp gust swept through the air as white dust appeared in a swirl from his body, and then white bone plates crawled across his skin, locking together like living creatures.

The armor breathed faint wisps of black mist, and the bones shifted and settled into place with faint cracking sounds. Jagged ribs curved around his chest, and a long spine-like ridge ran down his back, glowing faintly with an ash light. His arms became covered with white claws made out of bones, and his legs were also covered in smooth, ridged white bones.

When the helmet locked in, it resembled a skull split down the middle, revealing a faint line of green light that ran from his forehead to his chin.

Corey's new appearance did not look like a man who was wearing an armor, but an angel of death instead.

Pope Arzhel's expression became incomparably solemn. The pressure he felt from Corey was something he never expected, and it was rising with every step Corey took. He was gathering immense momentum.

"I have dreamed of this day for so long, for so many nights..."

Black lightning swirled across Corey's body as he kept approaching Pope Arzhel with a slow and steady steps.

Behind him, the phantom of the world tree appeared, and something surprising occured.

The previous phantom's phoenix phantom appeared, and it rested on top of the world tree like how a bird rested on a tree.

The phantom image of the world tree changed once again, and the world tree became engulfed in black lightning and grey flames.

Pope Arzhel found himself stunned by what he was seeing.

"For many days and nights, I have had to live with the nightmares of that night where I was too weak and powerless to save my family."

"For many days and nights, I was haunted by the thought of not being able to see my last living family member."

"For many days and nights, I've thought of what to do to you. The most painful methods I can use in killing you. The worst way I can ruin and annihilate your entire existence."

"And trust me, I had so many, so many thoughts and ideas on how to accomplish this... But now that you're right here in front of me, all I want... All I want is to keep on hitting you till I vent out my anger."

"I don't think anything else would be able to appease the fury I have in me."

Pope Arzhel did not know when, but his body instinctively took a step back because for the first time since he became a Demi-Paragon, he did not hold back.

His entire aura was completely unleashed in fury upon the world.

His mana from three Infinity Crystals was unleashed in fury.

His physical presence which had broken the universe's limit was fully unleashed in fury.

His spiritual energy and mental energy was also fully unleashed as Corey's Eyes of Omniscience glowed brightly behind the skull mask of the Devourer's armor.

His Paragon Bloodline was in full force, affecting the world as Corey's fury caused fractures to appear in both space and time.

If Corey was not in the dimension of the world tree but on New Earth, the destruction to the foundations of spatial and temporal laws of New Earth would suffer considerable damage.

There were several reasons why Corey had never revealed this much or tried to use his Void Phoenix powers or even his Devourer's Armor, and the main reason was because of the Universal System.

He didn't want to reveal everything he had to the Universal System.

But this time around, he did not just want to kill Pope Arzhel, he wanted him to feel fear and despair just from his mere presence.

He wanted the Pope to feel the same helplessness he felt when he lost his family.

"I told you, today would be the last day you breathe."
