Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 1018: 1015: Burned Space

Killing two Tier 6s in such a manner would have shocked many if they were present. However, when one recalled that Corey was now a Tier 5, just a step below a Tier 6, it wasn't surprising anymore.

Pope Arzhel was not surprised by the fact that Corey killed the priest and mage since he expected such a thing. To him, the priest and mage were fools for trying to interfere in a battle of this caliber, and since they wanted to die so badly, then he would not stop them.

However, what took the Pope by surprise was Corey's telekinesis.

'Since when did he have telekinesis? And why does his telekinesis feel... different from Tessa's.'

'Tessa's telekinesis borrows the help of the world to move objects, but his is like he's imposing what he wants on the world?'

'... Like he's imposing his intent... his will on the world. No. That cannot be.'

The Pope's eyes widened as a thought came to his mind, but he shook his head inwardly, refusing to believe that such a thing was possible.

'It couldn't possibly be that he has a tangible Will that can affect the world. Such a thing should is extremely difficult for Immortals, talk less of Mystic Beings, and it should not be possible for Mortals.'

'Having a tangible Will is one of the requirements for Godhood... for Divinity... Ohh... I see.'

The shock in Pope Arzhel's heart reduced as realization slowly filled his heart and mind.

'This is probably one of the abilities he gained from fusing with the world tree.'

'The world tree has divine properties, but it cannot properly utilize it because of its insufficient grade.'

'I've never heard of a mortal fusing with a world tree, so I have no idea what abilities he has... Especially a mortal Paragon.'

'Hmm... Ability to see the weakness of an attack or object, a sudden increase in strength, and telekinesis. Let's see what else you've got.'

A light smile appeared on Pope Arzhel's lips behind his helmet, and then Corey resumed his sprint toward Pope Arzhel.

Pope Arzhel glanced at the pieces of the priest and mage, and then he scoffed with a smile of mockery behind his helmet.

"Pathetic wastes."

He made a hand sign, and then the sky brightened considerably. The air rippled, and a powerful heat wave rippled across the world.

Corey was forced to pause as dozens of weapons made out of fire hovered behind Pope Arzhel.

"In case you don't know, let me tell you now, boy. The Temple of Flames does not only control fire, we are a blacksmithing organization, and if there's one thing I don't lack... It's riches."

The Pope snapped his finger, and dozens of weapons of several grades appeared in the air.

Corey counted a hundred weapons of metal and fire in the sky, and a solemn gaze appeared in his eyes.

Snap

The sound of a rope snapping drifted into his ears, and he looked at the Pope. He saw the Pope removing his pendant of the Temple from his neck- crossed black axes.

The pendant glowed brightly, and then they transformed into dual great battle axes. Corey's pupils constricted when he sensed the power behind the axes.

'An Immortal Weapon.'

A deep frown with wariness emerged on Corey's face as he felt a threat from the weapon.

"It's been a while since I used these babies. I think cutting down a Paragon would satiate my babies' thirst for blood, right?"

Pope Arzhel's hummed with a bloody crimson glow, and Corey knew that the axe was most likely a demonic or an evil weapon.

"Go."

The Pope pointed at Corey, and Corey clapped with full force. A massive runic formation flashed to existence on the ground around him, and colossal silver trees, silver vines, and silver roots shot out of the ground.

A forest came to life in less than a second, and Corey was at the center of it all.

The trees, vines, and roots clashed with the weapons of metal and fire, and a cataclysmic explosion shook the entire world.

The weapons of metal and fire shattered and broke apart, and so did the trees, vines, and roots.

The forest around him became a forest of fire, and when Corey saw this, he pointed at the sky.

A beam of silver-emerald light shot out of his finger, and when it reached the sky, it exploded and formed another formation.

The sky darkened, and silver rain began falling from the sky, putting out the forest fire.

'I can't allow him to control the fire.'

Just as Corey had this thought, his instincts screamed at him, and his body moved before his mind did.

His Stars of Consciousness forcibly moved his body, and he fell face flat on the ground.

A second later.

RIP!

BURN!

Corey felt his clothes burn, and he felt an incomparable heat on his back that made him hiss.

The skin on his back sizzled like meat thrown into oil, and Corey heard space tear apart above him.

Through his Eyes of Omniscience, he saw what happened, and a part of him could not believe it.

But a second later, his eyes widened, and he rolled to the side before executing his void force and teleporting to the sky.

Bang!

Bang!

As Corey stayed in the sky, he looked down, and what he saw caused a chill to pass through his spine.

The forest of silver that previously surrounded him was no more. Every silver tree was cut in two, and black flames that burnt the fallen trees to ashes filled everywhere.

The moisture of the ground dried up, causing the ground to develop cracks, and the remaining trees caught fire.

But that was not truly shook Corey.

Space itself was cut, and for the first time in his life, he saw space burn.

The cut space burned with black fire, and Corey could see the burned essence of space falling on the ground, and causing the ground to slowly melt.

'Is this the power of an Immortal weapon?'
