Diary of a Dead Wizard

Chapter 792: The Kiss

“An auxiliary formation?” Ophelia’s tone suggested she didn’t completely believe him.

But after carefully observing for a while and finding nothing unusual about the auxiliary formation—it seemed to be just an ordinary energy-providing array—she let it pass.

Saul offered no further explanation. Too much explaining would only arouse her suspicion.

Ophelia ultimately couldn’t detect anything abnormal from the modified auxiliary formation. Moreover, as a fourth-rank wizard facing Saul, a third-rank, she had natural confidence.

Even though she clearly understood Saul’s reluctance, she wasn’t worried about his ability to resist her.

After all, she wasn’t after his life.

He wouldn’t go so far as to fight to the death.

Thinking this, Ophelia even felt somewhat mischievous.

She wanted to taste what was so special about the man chosen by the Dead Wizard’s Diary.

“Then let’s begin,” Ophelia said softly, without a trace of shyness.

Saul tilted his head, looking at the vase before him. “However, Lady Ophelia, didn’t you say you could simulate any form? If it’s your current appearance, forgive my bluntness, but it doesn’t particularly arouse my interest.”

“It seems you’re ready then. So what appearance do you prefer?”

Saul had no mood to play dress-up here. “Just use your own appearance directly.”

The transparent vase began to expand and surge, slowly squeezing out from the opening.

But when that disgusting flesh and blood emerged from the vase opening, it transformed into a beautiful and familiar face… Ophelia.

Her head emerged from the vase opening, followed by a normally-proportioned neck. Then, with a series of “creaking” friction sounds, snow-white shoulders and a curvaceous body also squeezed out from the opening.

Finally, she sat on the edge of the vase opening, pulled out her slender legs, naturally crossing her left leg over her right, her rounded toes trembling in little hooks.

If he hadn’t witnessed the process of this mass of flesh transforming into a beautiful woman, Saul might have enjoyed appreciating the naked beauty before him more.

Yes, with her purpose clear, Ophelia simply hadn’t bothered with clothes this time.

“Come here.”

Slender fingers beckoned Saul gently, her face bearing a perfectly soft, alluring smile.

She was truly being very professional in her seduction of Saul.

Saul took a deep breath and walked forward leisurely.

“Aren’t you going to take off your…”

Ophelia’s words were cut short as Saul suddenly reached out, grasped the back of her neck, and pulled her into his embrace.

Originally sitting at the vase opening, slightly higher than Saul, Ophelia compliantly let herself be pressed down at the waist. Then her slightly purple lips were fiercely captured by Saul.

Having probably never been treated so boldly before, Ophelia’s eyes widened slightly, then quickly filled with cold amusement.

“So you prefer being more dominant. That’s no problem.”

Saul’s movements paused slightly.

Though he was clearly occupying Ophelia’s lips, the familiar voice came from her chest and abdomen.

This voice wasn’t transmitted to his spiritual body through secret speech.

“What is this? Ventriloquism?” Saul glanced down distractedly.

As if knowing what he was thinking, Ophelia said, “Aren’t you concerned about Ona? It’s fine, I can have her accompany you along with me.”

Saul’s movements stalled for a moment, then became even more forceful in his suppression.

At the same time, he used secret speech to communicate with Ophelia, “I prefer beautiful women lying side by side, not nested inside each other.”

Ophelia laughed again, this time her voice coming from her throat.

Saul lifted Ophelia, whose entire body trembled with laughter, from the vase and pressed her directly onto the ground.

Throughout this, their lips never separated.

After they fell intertwined at the center of the magical formation, the entire array lit up with gray-black radiance, making Saul’s face appear as if it too had become semi-transparent gray.

Ophelia’s hands slipped into Saul’s collar while she continued teasing him through secret speech.

“Little one, do you only know how to kiss? Don’t tell me Pei’er was always the one taking initiative before?”

No wonder Ophelia was teasing him—Saul had been kissing for quite a while with both hands properly supporting himself on the ground, not even freeing one hand to caress Ophelia’s completely exposed body.

Seeing Saul remain silent, Ophelia thought she had guessed correctly.

This little one before her was truly quite inexperienced.

She stopped her downward-exploring hands, preparing to flip over and take the dominant position. But just then, the previously well-behaved formation suddenly emitted a flash of red light.

Instantly, the entire room changed from gray to dark red, like a color dyed with blood.

Ophelia’s expression immediately shifted from dreamy to stern. She was about to rise when she discovered she was bound by some unfamiliar force.

Glancing around, she saw that Saul, who was pressing down on her, only had his head maintaining human form—his other limbs had all become gray tentacles, tightly wrapped around her and continuously writhing.

Ophelia sneered inwardly, about to make this restless little wizard understand what the power of a fourth-rank wizard meant, when she suddenly felt a powerful magical fluctuation burst from his mouth.

In an instant, the little wizard before her, the magical formation activated beneath them, and the red-tinted glass surrounding them all disappeared.

Ophelia slowly sat up, finding herself on a huge circular platform. Around her was endless darkness, with only the most distant points flickering like stars decorating the deep space.

She slowly supported herself to sit up, her posture still graceful with a touch of seduction.

“This is… his consciousness world?” Ophelia covered her lips and laughed softly. “What a bold child, actually daring to pull me into his consciousness world. Isn’t he afraid I’ll destroy this place?”

Just as she finished speaking, Ophelia heard the sound of pages turning overhead.

Looking up, she saw a massive dark red hardcover book floating quietly about ten meters above her head.

The smile slowly faded from her face.

“The Dead Wizard’s Diary… He wants to use this to buy time?”

Meanwhile, Saul staggered, instantly traveling from the highest tower of the White Glass Castle to another room.

Above the room stretched a complex network of pipes, while to the side was a massive furnace burning quietly.

Inside the furnace were charred wizard corpses that, despite burning for so long, still hadn’t been completely incinerated.

This was the core of Sky City… the Fuel Furnace!

Saul swayed and ultimately couldn’t maintain his footing, half-kneeling on the ground with one hand supporting himself.

“Hey! You’re not dead, are you?” The white puppet bounced out from a corner of the room.

Saul looked up—his lips had now turned deep purple. He coughed lightly twice, spitting out a section of tongue that had turned purple to black.

The moment the auxiliary formation activated, Ophelia had reacted. To hold her down and buy time to pull her into the consciousness platform, Saul had immediately transformed into Octopus Saul, wrapping around her tightly.

Though the delay ultimately allowed him to successfully pull Ophelia into the consciousness platform, her counterattack in that brief instant had directly injured Saul’s spiritual body. His mouth also burned with pain, as if he’d drunk a can of sulfuric acid.

However, despite his somewhat disheveled state, Saul still smiled when he looked up.

“Ha! I knew you’d be here!”

His newly grown tongue was somewhat insensitive, and the injuries caused by Ophelia continued to spread.

But Saul was still very satisfied.

He had teleported to Pei’er and Nerela’s combined form precisely because he was gambling—gambling that Ophelia had placed them here at the Fuel Furnace!

According to the plan, after their combination, they would immediately begin a new round of connection experiments. The experiments required Pei’er’s presence and also needed the Fuel Furnace. Ophelia would very likely place these two together in advance.

Just like last time.

And now, Saul had won his gamble!

There shouldn’t be any problems, right?
