Chapter 3899 - Wandering Gaze

Things fell completely silent after the Maplegod departed. Qin Feng was busy piloting the ship while the wonderian couples were busy with their public displays of affection.

Tianming and Qingyu focused on cultivating using galaxy-class orders. As they were in too much of a rush, they hadn't had a chance to use overflow fragments.

Moran, on the other hand, was busy digesting the orders of Tong and Zhi. She was getting more and more efficient at doing so, absorbing them far quicker than she did overflow fragments. With some time to cultivate in peace, she made rapid progress and broke through twice within ten short days, catching up to Tianming and Qingyu by reaching the third level.

"What in the...." Tianming looked at the girl who stood at his waist height, speechless. She had always been the slowest to progress, yet that was flipped completely after she encountered cosmic god wonderians! Even Zi Zhen had to wait on more overflow fragments, but Moran could just devour her own kind to progress!

"At this rate, she and her sisters' level will completely eclipse yours," Ying Huo whispered in an odd tone.

"Ahem... That's perfectly fine." Tianming didn't let it get to him. My cultivation's more stable, after all!

"That's what you always say to cope," Bai Ye said, reading his thoughts.

"Die!" Bai Ling got on top of Bai Ye again and started to fight with its triplet within Tianming's head.

"What do you mean cope? Her strength is my strength! Being able to subsist off one's wives is a man's blessing!" Tianming said.

"Wives? It seems like you don't even care anymore," Xian Xian said.

Though Tianming was happy, he knew that Moran's bottleneck would eventually come, most likely in the form of not having any cosmic god essences to devour, where Tianming couldn't get her any due to his lack of omnisentient threads. Given her current mastery over the essences, the amount of power she could use wasn't enough to kill even stronger cosmic gods.

"Having a good backing is far too important! It's a shame that the Upper Star Ruin doesn't have any faction like the Xuanyuan Dragon Sect or Swordgod Lin Clan." Tianming had to form his own faction to stand on his own two legs. "But if Ling'er's Perpetual Jiang Clan can help me out, I'd be able to kill a couple of strong cosmic god wonderians!"

"Man, now you're even trying to benefit from your wife's faction. Impressive!" Ying Huo knelt to him in reverence.

"Let's see if Ling'er will exterminate your root appendage of evil first," Ji Ji said.

Tianming shook and said fearfully, "Shit! Forget that I said that."

Moran didn't hear their telepathic conversation. "These two cosmic gods' orders are all used up."

"It allowed you to reach the third level, so that's already rather decent."

Tianming had thought that Moran was asking him for more. Little did he expect, she smiled and said, "My sisters say that you don't have to rush. This is enough to carry us a long way ahead."

"Your sisters are truly kind and understanding," Tianming said with gratitude. He had always been the support for those around him. Even Moran's growth fundamentally depended on Tianming's own.

"Our focus should be on settling down and exploring the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins. It'd be great if we could find the flameyellow divinities within the Ancestral World." At this point, they still weren't certain if those rumors were true.

Though something did happen near the end of an otherwise peaceful journey. On the day Moran finished absorbing the orders, she had nothing better to do and stayed by Tianming's side. Then, the male wonderian who was the first to board, Muzhi Momo, noticed her.

He asked with some shock, "Did you break through two levels within a short half month?" He clearly remembered that Moran had been a first-level overflower.

Moran didn't want to cause any trouble and nodded. "Yes."

Muzhi Momo's interest in her grew. He looked at her from top to bottom with a furrowed brow. "Are you some kind of wonderian as well? Are you widowed? No, losing one's spouse would make it impossible to break through. Are you sisters, then?" Sisters were incredibly rare among wonderians.

"You could say that..." Moran didn't dare to tell him that she had forty-nine sisters. Other wonderians could fuse with one other partner, whereas she could fuse with forty-nine.

Muzhi Momo couldn't help looking at Moran a bit more. The ink-green-haired girl carried herself with a unique aura. Though Tianming couldn't really sense it, other wonderians would be pulled in once they noticed how she stood out.

Moran could feel his gaze intensify, but she didn't react. It was common for men to look at beautiful women a bit intensely, but people seldom became violent over that.

But at that moment, a thunderous voice shook the ship. "Muzhi Momo!"

The male wonderian snapped his head around all of a sudden, only to see his partner, Muzhi Youyou, looking at him with an expression of despair, tears flowing nonstop. Shaking and sobbing, she said, "You....You're actually engaging in a heartfelt conversation with another woman?!"

Moran was stunned. "A heartfelt... conversation?" What was heartfelt about that? Moran recalled Fengqing Youmeng's behavior, and what she had done was nowhere close. Yet, the female wonderian acted like her partner had completely cheated on her.

Muzhi Momo's face filled with regret as he knelt to her. "Youyou! It's my fault! I have wronged you and profaned our love! I have sinned! Please forgive me for my first-ever blunder!"

"Forgive you? Did you not notice the way you looked at her just now?!" Muzhi Youyou took a few steps back and kept sobbing.

"It wasn't intentional! Something's up about her! She tempted me and doomed me!"

Moran almost lost it. Were these two serious? Were they trying to pick a fight? Even the people of Wondersky Haven didn't behave that ridiculously.

Yin Chen whispered in her ear, "They're serious." In other words, this was a common sight in Saturatia-49.

"But why?" Moran asked.

"The stronger... the feelings... of the... wonderian couples... the more... powerful they... will be... that also... goes for... their talent... they also... have a... telepathic link...."
