Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 3733 - Little Li Advance for Me

Chapter 3733 - Little Li, Advance for Me

“Get lost!” Xing Baifeng shouted down the dim corridor before he even saw who was approaching. As a deva, his voice carried their distinctive raspiness, making it unpleasant to hear.

After yelling, he paid no further attention and proceeded to open the door to the cultivation chamber. However, he had never expected that, despite his voice being easily recognizable, the newcomer wouldn’t leave. Instead, they sped up and appeared right in front of him!

“You don’t know your place, do you?” Xing Baifeng’s round, grayish eyes sharply spun.

A man and woman appeared before him. Neither were overflowers, so their bodies remained the size of ordinary humans.

“Jiang Xuling, Mo Dong?” Xing Baifeng coldly sneered. They were all among the youngest competitors in the battle, and below the Overflow stage. They had been rivals since childhood, so they were extremely familiar with each other.

The young girl, Jiang Xuling, somewhat resembled Jiang Linxi. She had dazzling golden hair, her figure was well-proportioned and petite, and her skin was smooth and delicate.

As for the young man named Mo Dong, he had long, multi-colored hair resembling a nebula, a clear indicator of his Starfall Pantheon bloodline.

“So it’s the two of you.... I was wondering who had the guts. Turns out it’s the brood of the two popes,” Xing Baifeng sinisterly sneered.

Psychologically, he still held the upper hand. Although this Middlekin Star Ruin was theoretically ruled by three major factions, in reality, the combined forces of the Scorchmoon and Blazestar Cults were no match for the Wargod Cult. The dynamic reflected the broader power imbalance between the three divine races and five pantheons across the entire Upper Star Ruin.

Outside the Cosmic God Palace, Jiang Xuling and Mo Dong had always avoided direct conflict with Xing Baifeng, even though they were also children of popes.

It wasn’t a question of individual strength, as both of them were older than Xing Baifeng, but rather the overwhelming influence of the Wargod Cult. The Wargod Cult was ruthless and domineering, reigning supreme over the Middlekin Star Ruin.

Jiang Linxi and Mo Fan had always taught their children to restrain themselves around figures like Xing Baizhan and Xing Baifeng. After all, making enemies in childhood meant bearing grudges in adulthood. If Xing Baifeng grew stronger, his retaliation would be troublesome.

Thus, Xing Baifeng was used to them bowing their heads. That was the suppression of bloodline and status in the Upper Star Ruin.

However... something felt off today.

Jiang Xuling and Mo Dong both slightly lifted their chins, looking at Xing Baifeng with a strange expression. A misty white haze, subtle and almost imperceptible unless closely examined, clouded their eyes.

“Are devas really that impressive?” Jiang Xuling placed her hands on her hips, tilting her head and wrinkling her nose.

“Let’s skin him, rip out his tendons, and dig out his heptastar organs! Maybe even eat his brain! Then we’ll really see how impressive he is,” Mo Dong cackled.

“Haha! It’s funny, talking to yourself!” Jiang Xuling laughed, pulling open her collar and glancing inside. “Nice shape! I wonder if Little Li would like to take control of it?”

“He’s alone right now! Once we’re done, we’ll send this one over to him. He dared to discriminate against my avatar? I’ll make sure he’s thoroughly defiled,” Mo Dong smirked with an eerie grin.

Above their heads, a tiny, invisible cockroach widened its eyes and cursed, “Stupid Sixth! If you... keep babbling... you’ll blow... our cover!”

“Oh, oh!” Jiang Xuling let out a cold chuckle, then turned her gaze toward Xing Baifeng, who was already fuming from being ignored.

“Xing Baizhan, I’ve had enough of you!” she snapped.

“My damn name is Xing Baifeng! Xing Baizhan’s my brother!” Xing Baifeng gritted his teeth.

“I don’t care how lazy your parents were in naming you! You’re just a measly specter. What the hell are you showing off for? You’re just animals that learned to walk on two legs! Let me tell you, this is the Heavenly Dao Arena. I’m not holding back anymore!” Jiang Xuling snarled.

Xing Baifeng was already enraged by her words. “What did you just say? Are you insane?”

“You and your whole family are insane! Get lost or I’ll skin you and rip out your tendons!” Mo Dong sneered beside her.

“Heh heh heh....” Xing Baifeng’s expression turned frosty. “You really don’t know your place.” Suddenly, he raised his hand and slammed it against the wall. The corridor loudly shook, the noise spreading far and wide.

“What, calling for backup? What a coward,” Jiang Xuling mocked.

“Pathetic! And you call yourself a deva?” Mo Dong scoffed.

Their eyes coldly flashed.

“If you’re laughing now, just wait a while. You’ll regret it,” Xing Baifeng snorted.

He wasn’t confident in taking on both of them at once. Even though they were all at the super zenith, fighting two against one would still be a challenge, especially against a beastmaster and totemancer working together.

“Wait? There’s no need! I’m gonna kill this little bastard right now!” Jiang Xuling bellowed. A figure appeared behind her. She leaped onto it, her blood boiling with excitement.

“Little Li, advance for me!” The figure turned out to be a 14-crest beast. It was a massive golden tiger that radiated dazzling light, perfectly complementing Jiang Xuling.

“Understood, my esteemed master! I’m your pathetic little servant!” The golden tiger’s voice was filled with reverence.

Yin Chen rolled its eyes. What the hell? One person playing three roles? Such a drama queen!

Still, it didn’t stop Jiang Xuling from commanding her beast. The pair lunged forward while she produced an artifact in the form of a black imprint.

“Xing Baifeng, I curse your ancestors!” Mo Dong roared. Behind him, nine totems manifested, forming nine celestial beings in the form of starry giants. The giants lit up the corridor with vibrant starlight, as if the combatants had stepped into a cosmic nebula.

“A two-on-one ambush? Where’d you get the courage?” Xing Baifeng was stunned, then furious. How dare two humans who had once bowed and scraped before him challenge him? He was young and hot-tempered, and his fury overtook his reason.

Instead of retreating, he roared and transformed into a gray whirlwind that intercepted his opponents.

One against two!

“If you act cocky now, I’ll make sure you regret it after this Heavenly Dao Arena battle ends!” Xing Baifeng snarled.

“Regret? You’re all talk! I’ll rip you apart right now!” Jiang Xuling bellowed as the black imprint in her hand smashed down toward Xing Baifeng’s head.

“You think you have the ability?” Xing Baifeng sneered. But in the next instant, the imprint struck him squarely in the face. At the same time, the golden tiger pounced and tore his arm clean off!

Xing Baifeng was completely dumbfounded. What the hell? They were serious? “You—!”

Before he could finish, Mo Dong gathered the power of his totems and drove a sword straight through Xing Baifeng’s heart.

Xing Baifeng let out a horrific scream.

“That’s Baifeng’s voice?!” The commotion had drawn many onlookers. Some were foundationeers and their eyes were also clouded with white mist.

“I’ll kill you both!” Xing Baifeng’s shrill, enraged cries echoed. From his tone, it was clear that he was in a life-and-death battle.

“Who dares touch him?!”

“Quick, check it out!”

“Make sure no one dies!!”

The raging, desperate howls made many hearts pound.

And in the Heavenly Dao Arena’s spectator zone, the Wargod Cult’s fury was brewing like a storm....
