Chapter 6494 Kun Li
“One move...” Everyone gasped.
With a single strike, Wilde had broken Ku Jian’s arm.
Ku Jian was a half-step Sovereign Lord. But even after igniting his essence rune and unleashing his full law power, he still wasn’t a match for Wilde.
“What an idiot. His brother Ku Qian couldn’t hurt that monster even with a weapon, yet he still chose to fight him barehanded.”
“Maybe Ku Jian’s confident in his physique. But... the gap’s too great...”
“Just who is this monster? He has no essence rune, no law power, not even the aura of an Emperor... So how can he be this terrifying?”
BOOM!
While everyone was still in disbelief, Wilde was already charging at Ku Jian. His massive hands flailed wildly toward him.
With his arm shattered and his body suppressed by Wilde’s blood qi, Ku Jian burned with outrage. How could such a creature exist in this world?
He moved quickly through the air, leaving behind multiple afterimages as he pushed his speed to the limit to dodge Wilde.
To onlookers, Wilde’s attacks resembled a foolish oaf trying to catch a nimble rooster—clumsy yet unstoppable. But despite his awkwardness, his speed was shocking, and his strikes always came from impossible angles.
Suddenly, Wilde leaned back and caught one of Ku Jian’s wings. One of his unpredictable attacks finally landed.
“Haha!” Wilde roared with excitement and yanked hard.
Ku Jian screamed as his bloody wing was torn clean off.
Wilde bit down, chewed twice, and then spat it out in disgust, tossing the mangled wing aside. It seemed the wing was too disgusting to swallow.
“What a monster...”
The onlookers shuddered at the sight of Wilde’s bloodstained mouth. The scene was too brutal.
“Disgusting! You taste terrible!” Wilde spat several times to get rid of the foul taste and then charged at Ku Jian once more.
Meng Qi and the others were shocked by this sight, but they also felt it was rather comical. Wilde had already bitten Ku Qian’s head and learned their flesh tasted bad. So why try to eat a wing? Could his memory really be that bad?
“Fuck off, you stupid barbarian!”
All of a sudden, the void split open, and a sword shrieked through the air, striking Wilde’s head. Ku Qian had returned.
Ku Qian’s head was a ghastly sight—it was bloody, with an exposed skull and deep teeth marks in it.
Wilde instinctively twisted his head to avoid the attack. Even with his dull wits, he knew how to dodge. But his reaction was far from smart—he turned his head away but didn’t bother moving the rest of his body.
BOOM!
Ku Qian’s sword slammed into Wilde’s shoulder, forcing his massive frame down. Wilde staggered, but even that full-power strike failed to pierce his skin.
The pain only enraged Wilde. With a furious snarl, he swung both arms behind him.
BOOM!
Ku Qian was sent hurtling away like a shooting star.
Then, from the side, a giant hatchet came crashing down toward Wilde’s head. Ku Jian had finally set aside his arrogance and drawn his weapon.
BOOM!
Another half-step Sovereign Lord’s full-strength strike exploded across the battlefield. Though both brothers shared the same realm, Ku Jian’s power was far greater. The hatchet slammed into Wilde’s chest, forcing his colossal body backward.
The void beneath Wilde crumbled under the impact. When he finally steadied himself, gasps rippled through the crowd.
The hatchet’s force was terrifying, many times stronger than Ku Qian’s attack, yet it had only managed to tear the beast hide on Wilde’s chest.
A few drops of blood oozed out, but that meager wound was purely superficial. For someone at Wilde’s level, such damage was not worth mentioning.
With a strong divine weapon, a power-type expert at a half-step Sovereign Lord realm had only managed to leave the faintest of wounds on their opponent... Who could believe this?
Even Meng Qi and the others were stunned. They could all tell that Wilde had not used any magical art or divine ability. It was just his most basic defense.
Though they all knew how terrifying Wilde’s body was, none had imagined it could reach such an absurd level.
“Big Brother, aim for his head!” Ku Qian shouted as he came flying back.
After exchanging so many blows, the brothers understood that this big oaf was nearly unbeatable. If they didn’t target his head, they wouldn’t be able to inflict any real damage.
Ku Jian and Ku Qian unleashed a flurry of strikes aimed at Wilde’s eyes, ears, the back of his head, and even down there at a man’s vital spot.
Wilde seemed foolish, and his body was not agile. He couldn’t dodge many attacks. However, these attacks appeared to trigger his wild instincts. His huge arms flailed without rhythm or technique, but his wild movements made his next action impossible to predict.
One of those sweeping palms connected.
BOOM!
The two brothers were sent flying, coughing up blood. Though they survived, recovering from that single blow took them time.
Ku Jian and Ku Qian were helpless against Wilde, but Wilde couldn’t kill them either. He could only swat them aside every now and then, while they buzzed around him like flies.
“Wilde, don’t you have a club? Use it!” shouted Tang Wan-er.
“No, it’s too hungry. I’m also hungry...” Wilde mumbled absentmindedly.
Meng Qi and the others blinked in confusion. What did that even mean? Before they could figure it out, a powerful aura swept across the battlefield. The pressure of laws filled the air.
Meng Qi’s heart sank. She looked over to see a colossal figure flying toward them. It was a divine bird whose wings blotted out the sky, tearing through space. The sheer might coming from it shook people’s hearts.
Upon seeing that bird, Kun Gang smiled and sighed in relief. But when the figure drew closer, his expression changed.
“Kun Gang, how brazen. You dare to conceal news of the Earth Cauldron’s appearance? Once I obtain it, I will deal with you two brothers myself!”
The divine bird was a Kunpeng surrounded by endless law runes, and it flew straight for the Earth Cauldron.
“Stop it!” Meng Qi shouted.
At this time, everyone stopped fighting to join forces against it. Even Bai Shishi broke off from fighting Lu Ze and flew over.
Meng Qi, Tang Wan-er, Dong Mingyu, Bai Shishi, Mo Yang, Chi Wufeng, Feng You, Su Yu, Lei Yuner, and the others combined their strength.
This Kunpeng was unleashing a divine law. As it had been accumulating power on its flight, they had to go all-out to block it.
“Ants, scram! Peng Law—Flying Peng Flash!”
The Kunpeng’s thunderous voice shook the heavens as it dove toward them like a living meteorite.
In response, they concentrated their power into multiple shields, forming the solidest defense.
BOOM!
The collision split the sky. In the face of that divine law, their defenses shattered like rotten wood.
Meng Qi and the others were blown away, blood spraying from their lips. The half-step Sovereign Lord of the Kunpeng race was terrifying, and his divine ability even more so.
As the blast faded, the runes composing the Kunpeng scattered, revealing a lofty man in gray robes.
He didn’t even spare them a glance after breaking their defense. His eyes swept coldly toward the resentful Kun Gang.
He declared, “The Earth Cauldron is mine. You two brothers are fated to become stepping stones for me, Kun Li!”
Kun Li was also one of the Kunpeng race’s top heavenly geniuses, a rival of Kun Gang’s big brother.
Kun Gang had already sent word to his big brother, so he had assumed his brother was the one arriving. Realizing it was Kun Li instead, his face darkened.
Kun Li streaked forward like lightning. No one could stop him. It seemed inevitable that he would seize the Earth Cauldron first.
Meanwhile, the space in the distance was twisting as other powerful auras appeared. Other half-step Sovereign Lords were coming.
Kun Li snorted coldly. “Hmph. I have the initiative—none of you can stop me!”
With a flash, he appeared before the Earth Cauldron. But before he could strike, a tall figure stepped out to block his way.
“Long Chen’s subordinate—the Dragonblood Legion’s first captain, Gu Yang—here for pointers!”
