Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor

Chapter 4879: Treatment

Chapter 4879: Treatment

As she spoke, she released the ancient Sacred Beast’s overwhelming pressure, aiming to intimidate the crimson-flame lion at the peak of the sacred beast realm before her.

The lion, which had been about to pounce forward and devour the human child as a snack, sensed the ancient Sacred Beast’s aura. Its paws halted mid-step, and a hint of fear and reverence flashed in its eyes. It looked at the tiny human figure before it and involuntarily backed away, emitting low, muffled growls.

Seeing it retreat, Yue’er secretly sighed in relief. It retreated to a tree outside the cave entrance, lying there while watching her inside the cave and licking the wound on its hind leg that was bleeding.

Seeing the wound on its leg oozing blood, even if it licked it clean, fresh blood continued to seep out after a while. Perhaps due to excessive blood loss, the lion also looked listless.

Yue’er sat by the fire in the cave, eating the dried rations from her spatial pocket, watching the lion lying listlessly under the tree outside. She felt torn inside. Should she let it in? But she was afraid it would attack her. Should she not let it in? After all, she had taken its den.

Just then, a flash of lightning split the pitch-black sky, followed by a clap of thunder. The wind picked up, rustling the leaves, and the small fire in the cave flickered in the breeze.

Soon, a light rain began to fall. At first, it was just a drizzle, but gradually, the rain grew heavier, accompanied by the rumbling of thunder…

The wind made her feel a little cold, so she took out a small cloak from her space and wrapped it around herself. She saw the lion under the tree still standing in the rain. After thinking for a moment, she bit her lip, walked forward, and called out, “Hey, come in!”

The crimson-flame lion heard her voice, glanced at her, thought for a moment, then got up and walked slowly towards the cave entrance, its hind legs slightly bent and its steps slow. When it reached the cave entrance, its eyes were guarded and hesitant.

“You can rest over there.” Yue’er stepped back to the side of the cave entrance and pointed to the corner inside.

Seeing this, the lion limped inside and lay down in the corner. However, the wound on its leg was still oozing blood. After a while, perhaps because it could no longer hold itself up, it lay there motionless, as if dead.

Yue’er kept watch. Seeing that the lion had fainted, with its leg wounds still bleeding and a large pool of blood seeping from where it lay, she thought for a moment before taking out some medicine and placing it over the fire.

Smoke mingled with the wind blowing in through the cave entrance, drifting into the darkness. The unconscious lion inhaled the smoke. After a while, Yue’er cautiously approached, retrieved the medicine, and began to stop the bleeding and bandage the wound.

Perhaps because of the medicine and bandages, the lion woke up and opened its eyes, but it remained motionless, staring at the young human girl who was bandaging it.

“I took your spot, so bandaging you is my way of making it up to you,” Yue’er said, stepping back to the fire. “You can’t move because I used medicine. I was worried you might attack me, so I had to use it on you. But don’t worry, I won’t kill you. I’ll leave as soon as it’s daylight.”

She held her hands over the fire to warm them, rubbing them together for warmth, then glanced at the lion again and muttered, “Your rank is so high, and your strength must be formidable. If not for a Sacred Beast-level creature, you shouldn’t have been injured, right? How did you end up getting scratched up so badly?”
