Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 3968: Desecration V

Chapter 3968: Desecration V

The silver threads of Living Law Authority swept through the relocated Nullvein Gravewake Folds like an endless tide searching for something it could not name.

Each pulse of power carried with it the weight of scrutiny that could pierce through the veils of entire Wheels of Existence, yet found nothing but emptiness where answers should have been.

In the vast stretches of these folds, now forcibly transplanted into the domain of Living Laws, dozens of Living Origins and Living Laws moved with the patient thoroughness of those who knew something significant had occurred but could not grasp its shape.

Their forms blazed with authority as they searched every fold of space, every hidden pocket of reality where the truth might have concealed itself.

"Nothing," a Living Law murmured to her companion, her silver robes rippling with frustration as another sweep revealed only vacant space. "How can there be nothing?"

The questions hung in the crystalline air like accusations!

Where had the Paradox that did not produce Inevitabilities originated? Why had the second part of their treasured relic been discovered here, of all places? And most disturbing of all...why had an Honored Living Paradox and his Legions been present here in what should have been an insignificant corner of existence?

They searched with increasing desperation, their combined authorities creating waves of pressure that made reality itself groan under the weight of their scrutiny.

Yet for all their power, for all their accumulated wisdom spanning eons, they found absolutely nothing.

The Infiniverse Wheel of Existence, hidden at the heart of these folds with the Early Veiled Shore nestled at its center, remained perfectly concealed.

Its presence was so fundamentally different from what they sought that their perceptions slid past it like water over glass, never catching hold, never recognizing what lay just beyond their reach.

In a forgotten corner of these same folds, where darkness gathered in pools of simulated death, the Great Usurper existed as he always had...not quite present, not quite absent.

His consciousness writhed through the forms of Melodrass and the other Fold Dwellers who had taken the name of Dead Things, wearing the title like children playing with concepts they could never truly understand.

They called themselves dead, these beings, yet they drew breath. They thought. They schemed. They knew nothing of what true death meant...that absolute cessation that stood opposite to all existence.

They were merely playing at darkness, theatrical in their pretense of ending while remaining fundamentally, inescapably alive!

The Great Usurper felt the sweep of Living Law Authority pass through his domain like wind through hollow bones.

For a moment, that terrifying power paused, sensing something almost familiar, almost significant. His consciousness tensed, ready to scatter into fragments if necessary, ready to abandon these vessels and flee into dimensions where even Living Laws could not follow.

But the authority moved on, finding nothing worth its attention in these death-playing puppets. To the Living Law, they were merely another curiosity in a fold full of peculiarities....unusual perhaps, but not the answer to the questions that burned in their minds.

As the pressure of that scrutiny faded, leaving behind only the faint afterimage of silver light, something stirred within the predatory consciousness of the Great Usurper.

A prompt materialized in his awareness from the system that had been his companion through countless schemes and usurpations!

Your Idle Gaming System has absorbed the Living Seed of Existence and mutated to grant you the Living Existential Authority that most closely matches your existence.

HUUM!

The words pulsed with possibility, each syllable carrying implications that made his distributed consciousness quiver with anticipation.

The Seed of Existence, that gift from the True Emperor of Quintessence, had finally completed its integration while thr Festival of Existence wss ongoing!

A connection to the Transcendent Spiritual Folds has been deemed viable as a place to attain Living Existential Authority compatible with your existence!

The Transcendent Spiritual Folds!

A place where consciousness itself took precedence over physical form, where the boundaries between thought and reality blurred into meaninglessness.

It was perfect for one such as him, who existed more as idea than flesh, more as intent than substance!

Shall the transfer to the Transcendent Spiritual Folds proceed? The Functionality of the Idle Gaming System will even further expanded with Living Spiritual Authority.

...!

The Great Usurper’s consciousness coiled through his various vessels, gathering itself.

Through the twisted passages of his borrowed bodies, he gazed out at the blankness of the Nullvein Gravewake Folds...this space that had been both prison and kingdom, both limitation and opportunity.

His thoughts turned inevitably to Osmont.

A sigh rippled through his collective consciousness, as with deliberate care, he sent a mental message across the impossible distances that separated them!

I will be stepping out for a bit.

The message was simple, almost casual, yet it carried within it the weight of a farewell that might be permanent!

After all, who knew what existence had in store for all of them?

Without further hesitation, the Great Usurper embraced the prompt’s offer.

WAP!

The sound of displacement echoed through multiple Weavings as he and all those under his control simply ceased to exist in that space.

One moment they were there, a network of consciousness wearing bodies like masks...and the next, nothing remained but the faint afterimage of their presence!

The instant they vanished, space itself seemed to scream in recognition of what had just occurred.

Multiple Living Laws and Origins materialized in that exact location with such speed that reality cracked under the pressure of their arrival!

BOOM!

Silver and white authority blazed as they searched frantically for any trace of what had just been there.

"What was that?!" one of them demanded, her voice carrying the sharp edge of frustration. "I felt something...a displacement, a transfer of significant power!"

They scoured the area with increasing desperation, their combined might turning over every particle of space, examining every thread of causality that might explain what they had sensed. But there was nothing. No trace, no trail, no evidence that anything had ever been there at all.π‘“π˜³π‘’π‘’π“Œπ˜¦π˜£π˜―β„΄π‘£π˜¦π‘™.π˜€π‘œπ‘š

The Great Usurper was gone, and with him, any answers they might have found!
