Death… And Me

Chapter 3734: Not From Here

Chapter 3734: Not From Here

They found out they were not in the Divine Realm anymore. No, to be more specific, this place could be called part of the Divine Realm’s territory in the Universe. It’s just that they were so high above that the Divine Realm could only be seen if they looked far down. They were in the middle of space right now.

Under them, there was a floating land that extended for thousands of kilometers. Sister Orb could tell that it didn’t fall because of the accumulated energy in that place. To be more specific, in the natural formation.

"This is certainly big..." Rean commented, and Roan and Kentucky nodded.

"Frife-Ni," two Demon Beasts, seemingly from some armored type, came to receive the group. "Puorton-Le and Vavalia-Hek already told us of your visit. Come with us. They can’t leave their posts right now."

Frife-Ni followed the orders. "Very well. Rean, Roan, Kentucky, come with us."

The formation they used to teleport to this place was at the border of that floating land, so they took some time to arrive at the center, using simpler teleport formations to move within that place.

Roan looked at the Demon Beasts working, all of them moving in a proper, army-like manner. That was slightly surprising to him. Usually, Demon Beasts were a lot more lax when it came to such things. That showed how much importance they put on this place.

Rean and Sister Orb were more interested in the runes they saw everywhere. Those were indeed Natural Formation runes, and each one of them carried a huge amount of energy. Rean even wanted to spend some time analyzing them, as he couldn’t really make a rune that held so much energy without breaking down. ’Natural Formations are truly something else...’ Rean murmured to himself.

Finally, they were brought into an open space, hundreds of Divinity Realm Demon Beasts positioned in very specific positions. The runes in this place were actually enormous, some even bigger than Kentucky’s real form. Rean and Sister Orb still couldn’t tell what those runes were for, but they were magnificent. Zangeshu and Tanxan, obviously, were also looking at them closely from within the Dimensional Realm.

At the center of that open space, two Minokawas had half of their bodies deep inside a certain red rune. That was definitely the biggest rune in that place by far, and it gave a strange sensation. It was like those two Minokawas were floating on water like ducks, even though there was no water there.

Before they could approach the center, another formation, this time one made by the Demon Beasts, was lifted momentarily. Only then were Frife-Ni and the twins’ group allowed to get close.

"Omnil, thanks for bringing them to us," one of the Minokawas in that rune spoke, Ratria-Ket.

Omnil narrowed his eyes, looking at the three Demon Beasts that came with Frife-Ni. "Are you sure you want to leave them alone with you here?"

"It’s fine," Ploto-Ume, the other Minokawa, confirmed. "They are trustworthy. We will be counting on you and the others later to manage them too."

"Very well," Omnil accepted the two Monikawas’ words, leaving that place. The formation protecting the center was once again raised, leaving only Kentucky’s Family and the twins inside.

Ratria-Ket couldn’t help but open her wings. "My baby, give mommy a hug!"

Kentucky scratched the back of his head, feeling weird. "Let’s not go so far from the start, okay?" He then looked at Ploto-Ume. "Once again, thank you for the help back in Lisan Universe. I was only able to hide my Regal Bloodline because of your sealing."

Ploto-Ume was happy to hear that. "That’s why I left it there. If things had gone right, I would have done it myself later, but, as you can see, that wasn’t possible."

Ratria-Ket looked sad. "Ken...tucky..." She still found it hard to use that name. "Sorry for not being there for you. We were a failure as parents."

"Oh, that’s fine." Kentucky didn’t mind it too much. Truth be told, he knew he would never have reached the level he did today if he hadn’t met the twins, so it wasn’t all that bad. "Well, who should start their story first?"

Roan intervened. "Before that, you need to be certain that you can trust those two," he warned. "Don’t forget what you are and what that means to us and yourself."

Ploto and Ratria immediately got a bad impression of Roan. Errr... was there anyone who didn’t at first? Hard to say. "Are you insinuating that we have ulterior motives regarding our kid?"

Roan snorted. "Hmph! What I know is that trust is earned, not given. As far as I’m concerned, you might actually be in cahoots with that piece of shit called Soul Gem."

Ratria-Ket and Ploto-Ume’s expression turned terrible. "Don’t speak that fucker’s name! If we see him again, the first thing we will do is tear him apart, extract his soul, and torture him for the next ten thousand years!"

Roan’s eyebrow raised a little. He recognized anger and hatred easily, and the killing intent Ratria and Ploto released was not a lie either. "Is that so? Then, how about you tell us how you got to know Soul Gem? And how he ended up bringing you two to this place, of course."

Ratria was fuming, and she almost came out of the rune rune below her. However, Ploto raised his wing in front of Ratria, stopping her. He was also angry, but thinking about it, he had to admit Roan’s suspicions were not baseless. "Calm down, honey. I believe our kid... actually, both our kids want to know about it."

"It was about time!" Frife-Ni was already feeling impatient. Ratria, Ploto, and the twins’ group kept speaking of things he wasn’t aware of. "Start from the beginning. Just where the hell are you all from? Am I also from the same place?"

Ratria calmed down, looking at Frife-Ni. "Is it really okay to involve him...?" She asked her partner.

Ploto-Ume had already made his mind, though. "Yes. If we don’t, I think he will eventually find it on his own." Then, he told Frife-Ni the most crucial piece of information. "Son... your mother and I are not from the Universes in this place."

Frife-Ni’s mouth twitched. "That I already know! These guys said that a hundred times already!"

"No, you don’t understand." Ploto-Ume shook his head. "We are truly not from any Universe around here. In fact, we are not from any of the Universes within the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble. We are outsiders."
