Death… And Me

Chapter 3696: Danski

Chapter 3696: Danski

-Can we really trust this Rifindio guy?- Foliana couldn’t help but ask. -I mean, you knew him before, but you also know what the Inquisition Hall of the Werdlem Empire can do to someone’s mind.-

"It’s probably okay," Roan assured. "There is no point waiting until now to make a move against us. Victor could have taken us down back in the Golden Palace if that was the case. Sure, maybe Victor just wanted Rifindio to be the one to acquire the credits or some shit like that. But I still doubt that will happen."

"Worst case, Roan and I will leave our blood hidden somewhere safe," Rean added.

[Just remember,] Sister Orb intervened. [Your revival is possible, but only if the blood you left behind is within the Soul Connection Range. Obviously, it is one Light Year at the moment. Or you could leave it inside the Dimensional Realm, but that would also end up with your Dimensional Realm entrance being found.]

"Yes, you are right." Roan knew the limitations. "I’ll keep that in mind."

Tanxan accepted the plan. -Since you are this certain, I have nothing else to add. So, shall we join back together?-

"Yes." Roan then shared a location on the map in the CD. "Meet us there in Danalil Continent’s Capital, Danski City. We will be heading there as well."

-Understood!-

The call ended there, and everyone put their CDs away.

"Say," Kentucky pointed something out, "Victor said it would take between 1000 to 2000 years for Rifindio to reach the Celestial Realm. It has been 910 years, but not 1000 yet. We might need to wait for Rifindio to come back for a long period of time. What if he just appears around the 2000-year mark?"

"We can use this time to try to look for another source of Starlight Energy," Celis immediately suggested.

"Something at the level of the Astral Tree? That will be hard to come by in this Universe." Roan wasn’t anywhere near as confident. "In fact, the fruits of the Astral Tree are already starting to lose their efficacy."

Zangeshu talked about the obvious choice. "The only thing I can think about at the moment is the Mist Library. That place is supposed to have a Source of Starlight Energy, right? Perhaps we could make our way back to the Divine Snow World. With our power, making our way in and out shouldn’t be too difficulty."

Roan wasn’t as interested, though. "It definitely has a source, but I hardly believe it is as abundant as the Starlight Fruits from the Astral Tree. I don’t think it is worth the effort of looking for it again."

"You guys are forgetting," Rean said, taking his CD out again. "Is Rifindio really not back yet? How about we try to give him a call and see if he answers."

Everyone quickly paid attention to Rean, who naturally tried to call Rifindio’s number. Victor said 1000 to 2000 years, but Rifindio was trained by the twins’ group, got a cultivation technique from Roan, and his bloodline mutated with the help of a Celestial Bloodline, Kentucky’s one. There was a good chance he did much better than Victor initially thought he would.

It took a few seconds, but there was indeed an answer from the other end. -Now... that was impressive. How did you know?-

Rean and the others were puzzled. "Know what? We just tried to call you, and you answered."

It was indeed Rifindio. -Really? I literally, really, truly just got back. Like... It hasn’t even been twenty seconds yet since I appeared here in F956. You can’t be THAT luck.-

The twins’ group looked at each other, surprised. Not even twenty seconds? That was indeed a hell of a coincidence. Yet, they haven’t planned for this at all. "Errr... better not think too much about it."

-Sigh... Okay, forget it. I’ll be busy during the next weeks, so I won’t be able to talk. I’ll send you a message when I establish myself in the Supreme Palace properly. Triaglia is waiting for me, too.- And with that, Rifindio ended the call.

Rean put his CD away again, a certain thing on his mind. "Destiny Attraction?"

Roan, Celis, and Kentucky nodded vigorously. "It is always that shit."

"Anyway," Roan continued. "Since he is back, he must have reached the Celestial Realm. We will likely see news from the Supreme Palace in the Werdlem Network of this Universe soon. Let Rifindio do what he needs to. As for us, we are going to Danalil Continent to take a look at that Great Void Shifter Formation."

With that decided, Roan, Celis, and Zangeshu stayed in the Dimensional Realm. Kentucky and Rean, on the other hand, went out and moved to the closest city, the same one they separated from Elsie back then. Using the Long Distance Teleport Formations, they paid the fees and disappeared.

Crossing many continents on their way to Danalil might have been expensive and time-consuming in the past, but it was nothing but pocket change and a blink for Rean and Kentucky now. Their Sky Space-Time Realm cultivation also helped, as no one would think much of such high-level experts having the resources to pay for those teleportations.

From long-distance to long-distance teleport formations and no waiting times, it only took Rean and Kentucky a bit over a week to get to Danalil. Naturally, the Capital had its own long-distance teleport formations, so they were able to teleport directly there.

Coming out of the Teleport building, Rean and Kentucky went straight to a big hotel in the capital. Foliana and Tanxan were a lot closer when they finished their call last time, so they were already waiting for them there.

At the restaurant...

"Good to see you two," Rean and Kentucky sat at the same table as those two.

Foliana nodded happily. "Definitely! Where are Roan, Celis, and Zangeshu?"

"Do you really think any of those three care about such gatherings?" Kentucky asked back, shrugging.

"That’s true! Hahaha!" Foliana laughed. She seemed to have changed quite a bit. She was more confident and bright, a stark contrast to her shy self from back then.

Tanxan went straight to the main topic, though. "Alright, the Great Void Shifter then."
