Clan Prosperity Starting With My Servant Girls

Chapter 557: The Beginning

Chapter 557: The Beginning

In the main hall of Zhao Geng Nian’s Residence.

Zhao Geng Nian sat in the middle of the hall, with the chair facing out at the entrance.

A disciple from the Qing Feng Sect stood in front of him and bowed.

The disciple didn’t look to be doing too well with his cultivation robe torn and covered in dirt.

There were also wounds on his face, neck and arms, and blood seeped out through the cultivation robe on his chest.

"Peak Lord, after several attempts we finally managed to overcome the enemy and the sect leader’s instruction is to go ahead with the plan in Hong Feng City."

Zhao Geng Nian nodded his head and said, "It must have been tiring for you to travel all the way from the north.

"Go have a good rest before going back to the sect.

"Let the sect leader know that I will accomplish what is asked of me by him."

The disciple bowed at him and he was led to a guest room by one of the servant girls.

"Finally, we can do what we want after such a long time." Xiao Feng, who was the direct disciple of Zhao Geng Nian, was getting impatient and he was glad to be able to get started.

Zhao Geng Nian narrowed his eyes and stared at him, "In our few hundred years of lifespan, a few months isn’t long.

"It’s better that you learn to be more patient."

"Yes, Master." Xiao Feng bowed and kept quiet while he stood by the side of Zhao Geng Nian.

Zhao Geng Nian closed his eyes and rubbed his temple.

Even though everything was in place, he had a feeling that something might crop up and destroy what he had carefully coordinated for so long in Hong Feng City.

But the other elders in the other cities had completed their missions, and he had better perform just as well.

What they wanted to do in Hong Feng City was important enough for him, a Peak Lord, to be assigned to take care of it.

Those old sly foxes in the sect would have many things to say if he failed.

"Get the seniors here, it’s time for me to brief them." Zhao Geng Nian opened his eyes and said.

Xiao Feng’s eyes opened wide at the good news and he quickly went out to get the senior disciples as instructed.

...

Next day.

Lin Xuan Qi began to work on finding the locations for the new franchise stores first thing in the morning.

He was in a relatively good mood after attending the first month celebration for Sima Long’s daughter.

All of his buddies and friends were moving along well in life and he was glad for it.

They were, after all, also part of his businesses.

If they wanted to improve their lives while helping him make more money, he wouldn’t mind a bit.

The search for the franchise stores went smoothly, with him allocating the franchise stores in separate areas.

Making sure that they wouldn’t be too close to each other.

It would be unnecessarily competitive among themselves if that were the case.

The owners of the properties agreed to his terms and they signed the deal immediately.

When he was done, he decided to head back to his mansion.

But on his way back, he saw something unusual.

The Qing Feng Sect disciples were gone from the streets.

Did they decide that the law and order was good enough that they didn’t need to be walking the streets anymore?

Lin Xuan Qi frowned and he thought that something was going on.

"Bring me to the inn." He changed his mind and said to the coachman.

Maybe Old Feng at the inn would have more information on what had happened.

"Yes, Master Lin." The coachman cracked his whip and changed the direction of the horse carriage to head for the inn.

"Master Lin." Old Feng saw Lin Xuan Qi enter the inn and he greeted him.

Lin Xuan Qi stepped forward and asked, "Any news on what’s happening?"

He said and glanced out at the streets.

Old Feng nodded, leaned forward and said softly, "I’ve only heard some of the disciples saying that they were glad that it was finally time.

"But finally time for what, they didn’t mention a word about it."

"Anything else that is unusual?" Lin Xuan Qi asked and Old Feng shook his head at him.

"I will keep an eye out for any information."

"Thanks." Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and left the inn.

What he got from Old Feng wasn’t much help to him except to confirm his hunch.

He might have to go around during the night to figure things out.

But it might be tricky for him.

If any of the Qing Feng Sect disciples were hurt or dead, he might alarm them and get himself into trouble.

The invisible talisman and Spiritual Control might be the only things he had to try and find out what they were up to.

It would be a gamble and a risk for him but one that he had to take.

Who knows what would happen next?

He had so many factories and properties in Hong Feng City now that it wouldn’t be the same if anything happened to them, unlike how it was for him earlier.

Lin Xuan Qi went back to the mansion next and had his dinner together with Xue Cong and the others.

And after that, he got ready to venture out when it was nightfall.

Lin Xuan Qi took the masks that he had when he went to Spirit Valley.

He also brought with him the talismans that he had created after he had gotten the materials from Wan Shou Fang.

And lastly, he also took all the artifacts that he had with him.

Who knows if he would have a need for any of them?

It was better for him to be safe than sorry.

Dong!

When he heard the gong of the nightwatchman strike midnight, he took out an invisible talisman and directed his Five-Element Qi into it.
