"How can you be so confident? You do know who we're up against," she sighed and shook her head. It was a hard choice to make. Either she could die now or put her life in the hands of a stranger, which had a strong possibility of things getting worse in the future.
She bit her lips and clenched her fist tightly as she struggled to come to a decision.
"Tsk! Fine!" She swept her auburn hair behind her ear, revealing her neck. "I'm trusting you."
"Good choice."
Without hesitation, I pulled her in closer and sank my teeth into her neck. Immediately the veins on her neck glowed orange as my venom flowed through her.
My venom had changed her into a primordial werewolf. Meaning that unlike regular werewolves, who only possessed one special trait, she now had multiple, just like me.
"What is happening to me?" she mumbled as her eyes glowed orange.
Just then I bent down and picked up a sharp rock, and before she could even react, I used it to slash her throat.
"Mom!" Lyanna showed as everyone erupted in an uproar.
Eira clutched her throat and staggered backwards, but in the next second her eyes widened. The blood that covered her neck began retreating back into the wound, and the wound closed back up.
She removed her hand, and her neck was perfectly healed. Everyone gasped loudly when they saw it.
"This is what I'm offering all of you. For centuries we have been limited because we only possess one special trait. That's the reason we formed packs in the first place. Alone we are weak, but when we join our traits together, we are slightly stronger. But what if that all changed? What if we could be as strong as vampires or as fast as a wendigo? What if all our senses were 10 times stronger than those of a human?"
All of their expressions changed. They knew that when compared to most supernatural creatures, we were on the weaker side. Our true power was only accessible to us once a month. But what if that all were to change?
"Join my pack and you will gain all of these things. You won't have to worry about getting attacked anymore. Join me, and one of you will equal the strength of 10 werewolves."
"I'll join you."
Surprisingly, it was Kaela who spoke up first.
"You don't have to ask, little bro, I'll join you," Derrick said as he grinned and gave me a thumbs up.
One by one everyone agreed to join my pack. So with everyone's approval, I was left to turn the remaining 50 members of the Lycann pack, which includes men, women, children, and even some elderly.
I even turned my own family. Lily cried when I bit her on the neck. But my mother calmed her down. My father smiled at me proudly. He didn't seem to care that his own son would become the alpha, and neither did my mother.
Liora and Allison didn't seem to mind either.
"Umm, my lord." Eira spoke up. "Will we be attacking the Nyx pack now that we are now struggling? I just think that it will be better than waiting for the full moon, when they will be stronger. Plus they outnumber us."
"No, we will wait until the full moon."
I was still prepared to face them. There were still a few things I needed to do before then to up our chances.
"As you wish, my lord."
Eira's opinion still hadn't changed. She still thought it would be best if we attacked the Nyx pack now. But as her alpha, she couldn't dare go against me.
They all seemed overjoyed by their new changes. Some of the more excited boys leaped from building to building.
"This is incredible."
"I feel invincible," they laughed.
While some of the girls were in awe at how clear their skin had gotten. Now that they had a strong healing factor, their entire body had been cleared of all imperfections.
All their underlying illnesses had been cleared away.
"So this was your plan?" Isabella asked as the two of us stood alone watching everyone marvel at their miraculous changes. "The reason you orchestrated for Kaelen to kill that boy was so everyone would lose trust in him. You also used his own sister, Kaela, to drive him to the edge."
"Yes. I needed to make Kaelen's death justifiable. Under normal circumstances killing him would've caused a lot of problems, but I couldmanipulate things in such a way that it became a necessity, like if he were to lose control and attack the village, for example. Then I would be free to get rid of him."
Isabella nodded along.
"What I don't understand is that errand you sent Selthia on. Do you have something else planned?" She asked.
"You'll see soon enough. For now we need to spend the remaining 2 days we have preparing for battle. Most of our fighters are dead, so I'll need you and Derrick to train the younglings."
"Hmm? What about Liora?"
"I'll need her help preparing battle strategies. I've never led a group to eat before. When it comes to experience, Danzo outmatched me by leaps and bounds."
"I think you're being too humble," she said.
"I'm being practical. Liora has spent weeks being trained by Veyron in the art of war, and since Veyron is the only person who refused to join my pack, it means he will die soon."
I tried turning Veyron, but the venom didn't work, which means he's refusing to submit to me. Plus, in the condition he was in, without a high healing ability, he was unlikely to survive.
I've also ordered the chef caregiver to let him die. Though to others it looked like she was trying her best to heal him.
Veyron was just too powerful of a man to let do whatever he wants. He was a loose end, so to speak. And even though it pains me to watch her father die, it was necessary. Even Liora was brought to tears since the two were close.
"Is everything alright?" I asked after seeing the pity expression that Isabella now had on her face.
"This Sylvie must mean a lot to you if you're putting out this much effort."
"I guess."
"Would you do the same if it meant"
When she asked this question, somehow that warning message that you usually get in games popped up in my mind.
'Choose carefully; this action will have dire consequences in the future.'
"If it was you, then I would go to war against the whole world."
"Really?!!" Her eyes sparkled, and a red blush crept up on her face.
"Umm… I mean, since you care so much about me, I'll have to make sure that never happens," she said proudly, trying to mask her embarrassment.
I smiled and patted her on the head.
"Let's prepare for war."
