Chapter 250: He's Not Qualified!!

This…

They could feel the fierce aura of the slash from afar, a strike so keen it seemed capable of cleaving not just a man, but a solid block of marble.

And the result? He caught it between two fingers? Just like that?

Many people rubbed their eyes, unable to believe what they were seeing.

Meanwhile, the sharpness in Hu Yong's eyes instantly vanished, replaced by sheer panic that spread across his face as if he'd seen a ghost.

How… how is this possible? As a sixth-rank Fist Master and a renowned bladesman, I put my full strength into that strike! Logically, even if it didn't injure him, it should have at least forced him to retreat. And yet… who in the world is he?

「At the same time, upstairs…」

KLAK. The cigarette Wei Shaoqiu was halfway through slipped from his fingers and fell to the ground.

His eyes were wide as he rounded on Guo Kun. "What's going on? What the hell is Hu doing?"

Hu Yong was his personal enforcer. Over the years, he had cut down at least twenty Fist Masters, maybe even thirty. He had never once failed or been outmatched. But now…!

Wei Shaoqiu gritted his teeth, his fists clenched so tight that veins bulged on his skin.

GULP. Guo Kun swallowed hard, his expression horrified. "M-Maybe Hu didn't use his full strength. In a moment of carelessness, he gave the other guy an opening."

"That damned Hu! When did he learn to pull his punches? Has he become some kind of pacifist monk?" Wei Shaoqiu paced back and forth, fuming. "Call him right now! No matter what, you have to get rid of that man!"

"Yes, yes, of course!" Understanding the gravity of the situation, Guo Kun scrambled to pull out his phone and dial Hu Yong's number.

Downstairs, a dead silence had fallen. The onlookers finally understood. The man who sat there, completely still, wasn't just some madman—he was a top-tier expert.

That other guy was so cocky, dragging that big blade around. Looks like he finally picked a fight he can't win.

RING, RING…

The sudden sound of a cell phone tore through the deathly silence on the floor.

Hu Yong looked down at his pocket, cold sweat beading on his forehead. For a moment, he was at a loss.

Chen Yang picked up his chopsticks again and gestured toward Hu Yong with them. "Go on, answer it."

Hu Yong's expression flickered, but he ultimately pulled out his phone and pressed the answer key.

"Hu, why are you holding back? I'm telling you, Mr. Wei is furious!" Guo Kun's angry voice snapped from the phone.

"Who the hell said I held back?!" Already incensed, Hu Yong exploded, practically roaring into the phone, "I'm no match for him! If you want him dead, you can damn well come down and do it yourself!"

With that, Hu Yong smashed the phone onto the ground.

His words revealed a great deal. The man with the blade was merely an enforcer. The one actually giving the orders was right here in the Qiaoxi Sea Restaurant, in a private room upstairs.

Of course, Hu Yong had said that on purpose. As the saying goes, every debt has its debtor. He wasn't about to take the fall for someone else's orders. Why should he bear all the responsibility? He just wanted to live. That was all.

"That damned Hu… he actually dared to sell me out?" Wei Shaoqiu's rage boiled over. He planted his hands on his hips and paced furiously around the private room.

Guo Kun was terrified. "Young Master," he said, his face etched with worry, "if even Hu is no match for him, that kid must be something else. We should get out of here, fast."

Wei Shaoqiu slapped Guo Kun across the face, his voice turning icy. "Are you implying I can't handle some punk? Since when do I, Wei Shaoqiu, need to hide from anyone?"

"I—I didn't mean that!" Guo Kun clutched his stinging cheek, hastily explaining, "I was just worried you might get hurt, Young Master!"

"As if he'd dare," Wei Shaoqiu retorted with a sneer.

What was his status? He was the third young master of the Wei Family, one of the four great families of Lingjin City. Who would have the gall to lay a hand on him? Plenty of times, he'd stood right in front of his enemies and dared them to hit him. And the result? They always ended up on their knees, begging for mercy.

"Yes, yes, of course!" Guo Kun nodded repeatedly, breathing a small sigh of relief. That's right. With the Young Master's status, who would dare to touch him?

Wei Shaoqiu lit another cigarette and beckoned to Guo Kun. "Give me your phone."

Guo Kun hastily handed it over.

Wei Shaoqiu dialed a number. "Brother, it's Shaoqiu. I've run into a little trouble at the Qiaoxi Sea Restaurant. Can you come over?"

"That's right! Even Hu is no match for him." A moment later, Wei Shaoqiu grinned. "Thanks, Brother. I'll be waiting for you."

After hanging up, Wei Shaoqiu casually tossed the phone aside. "So what if he's got some skills? In my eyes, he's still trash. What gives him the right to make me back down? Is he even worthy?"

Downstairs, Chen Yang tilted his head. "Tell me which private room he's in," he said, a flicker of interest in his eyes, "and I might let you live."

The words had barely left his lips.

SNAP!

With a twitch of Chen Yang's fingers, the blade he was holding shattered.

Chen Yang smiled at Hu Yong, casually toying with the broken tip of the blade.

Hu Yong, however, was utterly petrified. His eyes bulged as he stumbled back three steps. Just… just what level of power does this man have?

Gasping for breath, Hu Yong pointed to a private room directly overhead. "I-It's that one!"

Instantly, every head in the room turned to look up. Unfortunately, it was one-way glass, making it impossible to see inside from the restaurant floor.

Chen Yang gave his arm a casual flick.

WHOOSH!

The broken blade tip shot out, becoming a silver streak of light that slammed violently into the private room's window.

CRASH!

The entire glass wall exploded into pieces.

Wei Shaoqiu, who had been lost in his own triumphant fantasies, jumped to his feet in shock.

"It really is that scumbag," Zheng Xiaoduo said, biting her lip as she immediately recognized Wei Shaoqiu.

"You know him?" Chen Yang asked.

Zheng Xiaoduo quickly explained what had happened, finishing with a worried warning, "He's a young master of the Wei Family—one of the four great families of Lingjin City!"

Chen Yang simply smiled and said nothing.

"That's right, it's me!" After a flash of fear, Wei Shaoqiu didn't run. Instead, he stepped up to the shattered window frame and looked down at Chen Yang with an arrogant smirk. "What are you going to do about it?"

"It's… It's Mr. Wei!"

"No wonder that bladesman was so arrogant. Turns out he had Mr. Wei backing him all along."

"This guy's luck has run out. Of all the people to provoke, he had to pick a fight with Mr. Wei."

"Greetings, Mr. Wei."

"Greetings, Mr. Wei. I'm Wang Feng."

In an instant, a wave of low murmurs swept through the crowd, and many people called out sycophantic greetings.

Wei Shaoqiu stood ramrod straight, a smirk playing on his lips. "Here are my terms. You will cut off one of your own arms, then kneel and await my judgment."

A chorus of sharp, indrawn breaths could be heard throughout the room. They had all heard rumors about how vicious and cruel this young master of the Wei Family was, but today they were seeing it firsthand.

Chen Yang smiled and casually swept his right hand across the tabletop.

SWOOSH!

A dinner fork shot out, embedding itself deep in Wei Shaoqiu's thigh.

Hu Yong: "…"

Everyone else: "…"
