A few hours later, in a city five hours away from Dylan's hometown, in a comfortable though not luxurious hotel room, Dylan tucked Fiona and Iris into bed. After that, he sat down on the sofa, joining the others.
"Okay, now tell us everything, babe," Ellie said.
"Yeah," Dylan replied.
Dylan recounted everything from the beginning until now to Ellie, Lena, Maya, Amy, Aaron, and Clara, without hiding a single thing. Naturally, they were all shocked to hear it and seemed disbelieving. KATS also spoke in their heads, helping Dylan explain and giving guidance to everyone. After Dylan and KATS finished informing them,
"So, the glasses from grandpa back then were to awaken CATS?" Aaron asked.
"Correct. What grandpa left me was CATS, not wealth or assets," Dylan answered.
"No wonder you suddenly had money. Now I get it. At first, I thought you were just like Grandpa, but apparently, you were doing quests from CATS to earn money," Aaron replied.
"It was. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before," Dylan replied.
"It's okay, big brother. Thank you for telling me," Aaron replied.
"I'm truly amazed by the story... even if it's hard to believe," Clara added.
"It's alright, I didn't believe it myself at first," Dylan replied.
Dylan turned to look at Ellie, Lena, Maya, and Amy, who were silent and seemed deep in thought.
"What's wrong with you guys?" Dylan asked.
"Hmm... I didn't realize all of our grandfathers were connected to the enemy we're facing now," Ellie answered.
"And the man who claimed to be my dad was involved with the enemy side. I finished him with my own hands," Maya added, looking at her clenched fist.
"My dad... no... the person who claimed to be my dad was also involved, apparently, and... he's the one who killed Grandma... Babe, if we ever meet him, let me be the one to finish him," Lena said, lowering her head and clenching her hands.
"I understand," Dylan replied.
"We're fighting our grandfathers' enemies... in other words, we're finishing their unfinished business," Amy muttered.
"More or less like that, but this time we're going to finish it. I don't want this to pass down to our children later," Dylan said.
"You're right, babe. We have to finish it now, before I give birth," Ellie replied.
"I'm sorry for involving all of you," Dylan replied.
"It's no problem. In fact, I'm happy to be involved like this. I don't want to be a wife who knows nothing and just expects everything to be done for her," Maya replied, standing up and moving to sit next to Dylan and holding his hand.
"Maya's right. My blood is boiling, and there's no way I'm backing down," Lena added enthusiastically.
"You don't have to worry, babe. The four of us are with you no matter what... if Ellie, Maya, and Lena leave, at least you'll have me by your side forever," Amy said.
"Hey... what is that supposed to mean," Ellie interrupted.
They all laughed. Dylan was grateful to see Ellie, Maya, Lena, and Amy looking relaxed and not stressing about their current situation. Then he turned to look at Aaron and Clara, who looked confused, but their eyes suggested they were also excited.
"I'm sorry I had to involve you and Clara... and put Fiona and Iris in danger," Dylan said to Aaron.
"Don't worry about it. We're family. Fiona and Iris will definitely understand, too. I'm actually glad you involved me, big brother... it was rough at first... but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Clara, too. [turns to look at Clara beside him] Right, Clara?" Aaron asked.
"Yes. I owe you a huge thanks, big brother, because you helped me and my mom. If you hadn't stolen my adoptive dad's laptop and smartphone, I don't know what would have happened to me and Mom if I got involved with that dangerous man, so now I'm ready to help you," Clara answered with a smile.
"Your mom believed you when you called?" Dylan asked.
"She did. She's not at her apartment now and is staying at a hotel temporarily. Don't worry, big brother, Mom is great at vanishing and running away. She has experience, after all," Clara answered with a smile.
"Alright. Now, let's get some rest because it's late. Tomorrow morning, we'll go shopping, buy clothes and new smartphones, then we'll head to Amy's place. There, we'll decide on our next move—whether we settle in this city or go home—depending on the situation," Dylan replied.
"But we have Grandpa's basement at home, right? We can't just leave that basement there," Aaron replied.
"Don't worry about that. KATS, please explain," Dylan said.
[That basement is fundamentally mine. I can move that basement anywhere. So, if you want to move houses, I can transfer the basement to your new home.]
"Oh, seriously... that's convenient," Aaron muttered.
"Then what about Fiona and Iris's school?" Maya asked.
"There's a good private elementary school here... we can enroll them there," Amy answered.
"Aaron and Clara can go to school here too. You don't have any loose ends at your old schools, do you?" Lena asked.
"No, I don't have any friends at my old school," Clara replied.
"Me neither. I didn't socialize there... usually, I went straight home because I had to pick up Fiona and Iris every day, so I didn't have time to hang out with friends," Aaron added.
"Then that's settled. The five of us have already graduated and can go anywhere, right, babe?" Maya asked.
"Yes, that's right," Dylan answered.
"Plus, none of us have family ties holding us back, and our inheritance money has all been cashed out. There are no more problems. Even going abroad is fine," Ellie added.
"Hehe... that's so true. If we have to, we'll travel the world," Lena added.
"Let's not get too carried away for now. The most important thing is that we have to wipe out our enemies first, because, as I said, I don't want our children to be involved. I want them to grow up in a peaceful, calm, and prosperous environment," Dylan replied.
"I know... oh, one more thing. Starting today, I'm quitting my job," Lena replied.
"I was thinking the same thing. As soon as I get a new smartphone, I'll let our supervisor know. You're quitting too, right?" Maya asked.
"Yeah, please tell them for me too. I'll also tell Mr. Sebastian I'm stopping work," Dylan replied.
"Got it. I'll inform him tomorrow," Maya replied.
"Okay, now you all get some rest. Save your energy for tomorrow because we're going to be busy," Dylan replied.
"Okay, I'm going to the room next door, big brother, with Clara," Aaron replied, standing up, followed by Clara.
"Alright. [turns to look at Ellie, Maya, Lena, and Amy] You all should go to your rooms too. I'll stay here to watch Fiona and Iris," Dylan said.
"Okay," the four replied.
Then Ellie, Maya, Lena, and Amy kissed Dylan on the cheek and left the room, followed by Aaron and Clara. Dylan turned to look at his two twin sisters, who had been fast asleep for a while and looked peaceful, even smiling. He stroked both their foreheads and kissed them. After that, he lay down on the sofa and looked up at the ceiling. He contemplated everything he had been through in the last few weeks.
"My life has totally changed, huh," Dylan said to himself with a smile.
[Someone is coming, master.]
"Huh... who is it?" Dylan asked.
"Click," the room door opened. Dylan immediately woke up and sat up. He saw Ellie enter, wearing a sleeping robe. She then closed the door and walked toward Dylan.
"You can't sleep?" Dylan asked.
"Swoosh," Ellie suddenly dropped her sleeping robe, revealing that she wasn't wearing anything underneath. Dylan gasped in surprise, then looked up at Ellie's face, which was smiling back at him.
"My body changed, right? Come on... I feel like it, hehe," Ellie said, immediately climbing onto Dylan's lap, and of course, there was a queue waiting for Ellie to finish right behind her.
