The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 334: Begging Daughter

"Indeed. I need at least a few thousand tanks and lots of anti-mech artillery. We'll even set up a few UAVs to scout the area, just to really sell it,"

"Then I'm gonna tap into your bank account. That's gonna cost a shit ton of money, and I'm not paying for all of that…. Especially since the world dollar is highly inflated as of now,"

"Don't worry; everybody is helping to pay. Just make sure they're done, and I'll contact Aria and Amanda if you need any help,"

"That would be wonderful. Their supersoldiers will be useful in taking our objective… just don't waste them on the front, which will get demolished,"

"Don't worry, I'm not that dumb," she chuckled, and just as she was about to leave, she quickly turned back towards me and said, "We're having a meeting together for the first time in a few years. Bring your daughter as your advisor. She could use the experience,"

"Are you evening listening to what you're saying? Daughter as my advisor?" I scoffed at such a silly idea, but as Celestine slowly walked away, I glanced back at my sweet little thing, who had just begun to wake up.

"Mom…" She drowsily rubbed her eyes before looking up at me with a meek yet comforting smile.

I brought her in for a nice long hug upon climbing onto her bed and laying next to her, and as her warmth was like a tight ball of fluff in my arms, my worries slowly began to disappear.

"I'll protect you no matter what…." I smiled, and as she softly giggled, I couldn't help but squirm a bit from how adorable she was. "I'm sorry for sending you off like that,"

"It's okay… I had fun and got to meet lots of people… and even though I might've almost died, I got lots of fighting experience… well, mostly within closed quarters. I have yet to fight a normal and powerful monster at about the same strength as me,"

"That's great to hear…."

The next morning as I was sifting through a bunch of digital papers in my office, nearly groaning from how repetitive and boring they were, my assistant bashed through the front door to announce a dreaded speech.

"Pol, can you leave me alone for one goddamn minute. I have more work on my plate now that I have the funds to actually initiate this project…."

"I apologize for disturbing your working time, but it is urgent. Your daughter has heard about the meeting with the other Tolf Leaders and was wondering if she could be your advisor… well, more like demanding it," Pol said, and as I snapped my head around, I let out a long groan.

"Ugh… my neck… also, who the fuck told her?"

"She's been known, your highness. Apparently, she heard you and Miss Celestine talking about the meeting… I swear, nobody else knows about it besides a few other trustworthy people and me,"

"That sly kid… well, tell her that is not possible," I sighed, but Pol looked a bit troubled as she stood in the doorway before a little head popped into the room.

And, of course, that little head was my daughter looking to beg and hopefully obtain a position as my advisor during this extraordinary and monumental meeting.

"Mommy!" She cried out, calling me something I thought she'd never say in her life as I was designated 'mother' or 'mom' while Mia was 'mommy.'

"What do you want?" I sighed once again, bringing her into my embrace and looking down to see her pitiful and heart-wrenching puppy eyes that nearly pierced a hole straight through my heart as she hugged me back.

"I just want a hug," She smiled before rubbing her face into my sweatshirt, smelling it as she apparently liked the scent… maybe a bit too much.

"Uh huh… well, I'm working, sweetie, so come to me another time. I have to focus on this new project,"

"Oh, you mean about the plan that you and Auntie were talking about?" She let out a toothy smile, seemingly taunting me as she backed away and spun around with a bit of cuteness to it.

"How much… did you hear?" I asked, completely flabbergasted as my daughter had actually outsmarted me.

Well, she was an empress, but I thought maybe her skills had dulled a bit… or maybe after going on the latest trip, they had become sharpened again.

"Everything," She grinned before walking up to me with her hands behind her back and her eyes once again in a begging state as she looked deep into my eyes. "Please~ can I be your advisor… I swear I'll be a good girl. I won't do anything that will bring shame,"

My heart ached as I looked at her, but I stood strong as I redirected my eyes to Pol, who was sweating as she watched this play out.

Clearly, she had been taken advantage of by my daughter and wanted to place most of the blame on her, but I could already tell what she was trying to do.

"Pretty please, mommy~."

"Pol, take her away. I must finish the framework for this plan before tomorrow night. Also, clear my schedule and make sure Charna actually comes today. I don't want this brat continuously bugging me,"

"As you wish, your highness," She quickly replied before snapping her fingers, causing a few shadow people to emerge from my office and take away my daughter by restraining her limbs. "Be gentle with her! She is the princess!"

"Yeah, put me down, assholes," My daughter clicked her tongue before taking one good look at me and then storming down the hallway.

"Y-Your Highness-"

"I know… just make sure she doesn't do anything stupid. Get Charna to monitor her immediately because I don't want to do deal with her bullshit right now… too much on my plate,"

As I sifted through the remaining papers, I switched to my emails, and the first thing organized for me by Pol, my hand-dandy assistant, was an email… from the Emperor of Japan?
