Supreme Man

Chapter 338: San's Conspiracy (Part 1)

They slid backward on the ice, and Ye Hao also immediately raised his homemade sniper rifle...

This sniper rifle was only a semi-finished product and lacked infrared, so its accuracy depended on his exceptional shooting skills; otherwise, its effective range was just a hundred meters.

Yet, in Ye Hao's hands, this gun was lighter than an M82A1, and he could pull the trigger without even aiming.

"Bang!"

Ye Hao fired a shot in the general direction from which they were attacked earlier.

The target wasn't within his monitoring range, so he could only fire at the most likely vantage points.

He fired three consecutive shots at the high points, but they didn't hit the enemy, indicating the opponent wasn't the type to stay in one spot for a follow-up shot.

After firing three shots, Ye Hao quickly lay down, pushed his legs against the hard ice, and slid into a depression covered by ice.

Ye Hao said to the few people not far behind him, "Stay put, and without my order, just lie down. I'll go ahead, and when I signal with the red flag, watch for it."

"Yes," the Wine Saint and several men nodded.

Only Dongfang Jiajia frowned at Ye Hao, wondering how he would proceed. With snipers present, any slight movement could make him an easy target. Surely, he's not that foolish, right?

If he were, the higher-ups in Team A wouldn't have assigned him to lead the third group.

But then she was shocked, as Ye Hao's body slid swiftly across the snow-covered ice as if he had no bones.

With the snow as cover, his body quickly slithered forward...

"What... what is going on here?" Dongfang Jiajia saw Ye Hao disappear from view in just a few seconds, with no trace left ahead.

"Such a mysterious body technique, like a snake," Shuirou said enviously, gazing in Ye Hao's direction.

Although the Wine Saint and others were also envious, they didn't show it. Instead, they kept a close watch on Ye Hao's direction, fearing they might miss the signal if Ye Hao waved the flag and thus endanger him or overlook a crucial message from him.

Ye Hao was able to snake across the ice so quickly thanks to that Mysterious Body Technique. He hadn't expected to glide over the ice so swiftly even in the snow.

"I wonder if this cultivation technique would allow me to swim beneath the ice," Ye Hao thought to himself with a smile.

Nonetheless, he moved quickly towards the direction from which they were sniped.

When he had covered over five hundred meters, the eighth-generation system detected the enemy.

Ye Hao had been perplexed about how the enemy moved so swiftly but now understood that it wasn't that they moved quickly; they hadn't moved at all and were lying in place.

The enemy's confidence came from a meter-wide piece of soft rubber he held. Ye Hao even saw his semi-finished bullets embedded in it.

What is this? Could it be something similar to Celestial Silk? Ye Hao wondered, perplexed.

The Celestial Silk Ye Hao referred to was the one wrapped around the Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms manual at Mount Song's Shaolin Temple. He hadn't used it yet.

Over time, he'd almost forgotten he had this impenetrable treasure stashed in the internal space.

Spotting the enemy didn't make Ye Hao stop, but instead, he scoped the area within a kilometer, finding no one else.

After confirming, Ye Hao made his move; delaying further could lead the enemy to lose interest in Wine Saint and the others.

Ye Hao's body suddenly rose above the snow surface.

The enemy was evidently San from India, with a black head and face and a beard.

Even going to battle, he hadn't removed the small red cap from his head.

Ye Hao's sudden appearance startled the Indian San, who quickly aimed his sniper rifle at Ye Hao, only to find Ye Hao's image missing from the scope.

Alarmed, he stood up, trying to locate Ye Hao, unaware that Ye Hao had been standing behind him for two seconds already.

"Are you looking for me?" Ye Hao asked, pointing a Desert Eagle at the head of the Indian San.

The Indian San hastily fired a shot at Ye Hao with his sniper rifle.

He knew well that in a battle like this on Thurston Island, being separated from teammates or becoming the target under reverse ambush would surely lead to death.

So, he intended to take Ye Hao down with him before he died.

Unfortunately for him, Ye Hao was at the pinnacle of the sixth realm in National Martial Arts, and in handling firearms or close combat, far surmounted this Indian San. Ye Hao effortlessly kicked the Indian San to the ground.

Although he wanted to grab the sniper rifle again, Ye Hao's cold gaze kept him in check, forcing him to stubbornly glare at Ye Hao.

"Speak! Why did you snipe us, and what is your purpose? Besides, how much information do you have about the extraterrestrial object?" Ye Hao asked for the main information directly.

"I don't know." The Indian San replied, displaying the pride typical of his country, unlike a small nation like Jiepeng.

"Hehe, you'll find out," Ye Hao said with a dangerous smile.

"Humph!" The Indian San grunted, but he couldn't even grunt anymore as Ye Hao felt along his body, making his bones crack.

This was a move called Bone Shattering Hand within Grapple Hand, a technique that made one feel as though their bones and meridians were being separated, inflicting the most soul-wrenching pain.

"Ah!" The Indian San wasn't grunting anymore; he was screaming, feeling like his body wasn't his own, yet the soul-wrenching pain was about to make him faint.

Ye Hao pulled out a shoe-cleaning cloth from his space and stuffed it into the Indian San's mouth, letting him continue to suffer.

He took out a five-pointed star flag and waved it at Dongfang Jiajia and the others for a while.

The waving had a particular method, indicating which direction to advance, retreat, or stay still.

The Wine Saint and others, seeing Ye Hao signal, quickly gathered their equipment and headed towards him.

They hadn't expected Ye Hao to subdue the hidden opponent so quickly. Considering this, they reflected the mission might actually be accomplished this time. They stopped waving when the Wine Saint and others began moving, crouching down to smile at the distressed Indian San. "Ready to talk?"

"I'll talk, I'll talk, I beg you to spare me. I'll talk ahhh!" Under such pain, the Indian San forgot any sense of dignity or face, only wishing the pain would leave him sooner, considering death a relief.

"Crack!"

Ye Hao reconnected his bones, coldly saying, "Don't think about lying, you'll find out what cruelty means."

"No... not lying..." (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote with recommendations and monthly tickets at Qidian.com. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please go to m.qidian.com to read.)
