Supreme Man

Chapter 312: Give Me an Explanation

"So it really is you, Qiu San." Liu sneered quietly, then quickly vanished into the night.

After he left, the underling hidden beside Qiu San chuckled silently to himself. He wasn't just any ordinary person; he was at level four in National Martial Arts, but he usually kept a low profile. This time, with Liu tailing him, he knew it all along. It was all just for show for Ran Tai.

"Looks like the real show is about to start. Qiu San, daring to betray the headquarters, you're courting death." The underling muttered insidiously to himself.

Liu left the Anbao District and returned to Shekou. He immediately jumped into the sea to find Ran Tai.

They usually lived on the ships, which never docked, always letting the boats drift at sea, and as for the source of their weapons, it was all done through sea transactions.

When he got back on the ship, he spoke directly to Ran Tai, "Boss, it's Qiu San's people. They transported the weapons back to the Times Square Entertainment Club. Isn't it clear it's Qiu San?"

"Boss, let's make our move! Qiu San is being too arrogant. Daring to double-cross us. Since when did we, in the arms business, ever fear him?" Another underling of Ran Tai, also at level three in National Martial Arts, said coldly.

"Hold on for now. Although you saw Qiu San's people transporting the weapons to Qiu San's place, I suspect this isn't Qiu San..."

"Boss, we've seen it with our own eyes. How can it not be Qiu San? Could it be Zhou Zhihui? If it wasn't under Qiu San's orders, would his men dare to impulsively rob our guns? Even though we sold the guns to Changlong, they attacked Changlong's men and hijacked Changlong's weapons. If we don't make a statement, the Humen gang will not let us enter Lingding Ocean in the future." Liu said anxiously.

"Why so anxious? At least wait until the Humen gang calls us. That's enough, just go get some rest. Also, keep an eye out, so we don't get caught off guard." Ran Tai knew clearly it wasn't Qiu San's people. What he was pondering was who was setting Qiu San up. Of course! He didn't have sympathy for Qiu San, but if the Humen gang demanded an explanation, then they would hassle Qiu San to provide one to the Humen gang.

But since the Humen gang hadn't made a move, they didn't need to rush to prove anything.

The reason he deduced those people weren't Qiu San's was because their actions were too smooth, swift, clearly a well-trained batch.

He knew Qiu San was a rough guy, wouldn't train his underlings, nor could he train ones like this. Additionally, while suppressing Changlong, they deliberately avoided hitting them so the Humen gang would think it was Ran Tai who orchestrated it. That way, the Humen gang would pressure them, and they would be forced to take strong action against Qiu San.

Ran Tai's analysis was sharp, showcasing his intelligence, but what baffled him was who was scheming against Qiu San?

First: The Gambling King had no reason to frame Qiu San, after all, the Gambling King had numerous casinos within Qiu San's entertainment venues in Anbao District.

Second: The Poison King had no motive either. Over the years, Qiu San's venues sold so many drugs for him, the Poison King would want to thank him, let alone trouble him?

Third: Zhou Zhihui, this seemed unlikely too. Yet, recently Qiu San had close ties with a group called Hao Men. Could it be Zhou Zhihui trying to discipline him? Using my hands to do so?

Thinking of this, Ran Tai snorted with displeasure, this move was indeed executed well.

...

After those people stopped their pursuit, Changlong hurriedly found a vehicle to return to Humen, wanting to report to the Humen gang leader immediately. Otherwise, all his brothers would have died in vain, and he'd have lost three million USD worth of guns to thugs.

When he got back to Humen, it was already past three in the morning, and he didn't dare call because he feared their call data could be intercepted.

He rushed frantically, full of anger, to Guang Hu's villa, the big boss of the Humen gang.

Upon entering, he immediately shouted, "Boss, our brothers have been wiped out, guns robbed too, boss!"

There was no one downstairs; Changlong shouted again loudly.

After about a minute, Guang Hu came down, dressed in pajamas and attended by a Beautiful Lady.

Guang Hu, a square-faced middle-aged man with a formidable presence, asked sternly, "What happened?"

Seeing this, Changlong quickly approached, full of anger, "Boss, you need to stand up for the brothers! That bastard Ran Tai stole our guns and killed ten of our men."

"What?" Guang Hu stood up and shouted loudly.

"That bastard Ran Tai took three million USD from us, already had another group ambushed behind the containers, and after we paid, they forcefully seized our guns." Changlong yelled angrily.

"Ran Tai..." Guang Hu coldly called out, then turned around and said, "Bring the phone."

"Here you go, Hu Ge." The Beautiful Lady next to Guang Hu handed over the phone.

Guang Hu dialed Ran Tai's cell phone. After several seconds, Ran Tai's drowsy voice came on the line.

"Hello!"

"Ran Tai, you bastard, you robbed my money and guns." As soon as the call connected, Guang Hu shouted directly. Others might fear Ran Tai, but not him. Even if he couldn't get weapons from Ran Tai, he could buy a batch from the Mao Zhan faction.

The Mao Zhan faction was a coalition of two regions with a massive number of members, though the local development wasn't great, making the huge membership insignificant.

"Alright, alright, why are you shouting? I didn't rob your guns..."

"Still denying it, Ran Tai you bastard. If it wasn't your men, why didn't they attack you? Why only target our Humen brothers in pursuit?" At this moment, Changlong bellowed.

"Clearly a setup." Ran Tai replied.

"Setup my ass..."

"Changlong, acknowledging you gives you the respect of a brother. Without that, what are you? If you yell at me, I'll shoot you dead." Ran Tai wasn't someone to be trifled with either. If others spoke to him nicely, he'd return the courtesy. If not, he'd be even more difficult to deal with.

"Alright, Long, hold on." Guang Hu waved his hand and turned back to the phone, asking, "Ran Tai, did you or did you not rob my guns?"

"No, you should know what kind of person I am, Boss Hu. I, Ran Tai, have principles in how I do business. Why would I need to rob your guns? I have plenty. To rob those for three million? Ridiculous." Ran Tai replied disdainfully.

"Then explain this setup to me." Though displeased with Ran Tai's tone, Guang Hu knew Ran Tai wasn't short on firearms.

"It's someone trying to make me retaliate..."

"I don't care about that; I just want you to give me an explanation." Guang Hu didn't want to delve into too many details; he just wanted Ran Tai to provide him an explanation. (To be continued.
