An impulse rose from deep in his heart, crazily urging him to get closer to those eyes.

"I see..."

As a supernatural being of the same tier, David hadn't actually fallen under the spell, but to figure out what this ability did, he didn't mind experiencing what it felt like to be affected.

Before he knew it, he'd already walked right up to Zoe. He couldn't help reaching out his hand, wanting to caress Zoe's pretty face.

Zoe, who'd been too scared to move by David's seemingly irrational behavior, suddenly felt some resistance. Then something happened that she totally didn't expect.

Her psychic energy seemed to sense her resistance and automatically redirected the power elsewhere.

Then David inexplicably switched targets, reaching his hand toward the person next to Zoe—Yui.

Yui's face turned bright red.

"What is sister doing!? Is this a prank!"

She didn't dare resist, so she just closed her eyes. Then she thought of her ritual ability.

That Fool Angel thing made her black out, right?

Fine! If she couldn't resist, then she might as well just feel nothing at all!

In her panic, Yui directly released her ability.

Then David snapped awake. When he came to, he found himself face-down on the bed with something pressing on his shoulder and neck. The force was pretty strong and kind of hurt, like he'd taken a heavy hit...

Looking over, what was pressing on him was a smooth little leg under Yui's nightgown.

"What happened?"

David was kind of confused.

Zoe on the side was staring with her mouth covered, unable to even speak.

She'd just noticed the young master's target shift to her sister and immediately stopped releasing the ability, but Yui suddenly started moving, and moving really fast—so fast she couldn't even see clearly.

In the blink of an eye, the young master seemed to get kicked into the air and spun around, then got pressed down onto the nearby bed by Yui's foot.

The poor bed frame couldn't handle the force from two people and collapsed with a crash...

"Y-young master! Are you okay!?"

Yui finally snapped out of it and realized she'd pinned down the young master. She hurriedly moved her leg away and shyly pulled her nightgown back down.

David climbed up from the bed and cracked his neck a few times.

He was fine, of course. This hit dealt less damage to David than what he recovered per minute, but for a normal person, it would've been pretty brutal.

"Yeah, I'm fine... what exactly did you two just do?"

Seeing the young master wasn't angry, Zoe stepped forward to explain.

David listened and clicked his tongue. After thinking for a while, he finally figured it out. "I see... your ability can suggest to others to 'fall in love' with a certain target, and you... um, can activate unconscious combat instincts?"

He glanced at the collapsed bed, still a bit puzzled. "Martial arts? How good can it get?"

And David felt a bit indignant... just now he'd only been caught off guard because he wasn't paying attention...

"Again!" David turned to look at Yui, scaring the maid into shrinking her head like a frightened rabbit.

"Activate your ability."

I don't believe it... how can a little woman burst out with so much power?

The result was the same. This time, even though David was conscious, he still didn't really understand what happened.

David got up from the ground and lunged at the little rabbit maid again like a hungry wolf.

"Kyaa—!" Yui had just regained consciousness when the young master scared her again, and she instinctively activated her ability once more.

David lay on the ground face down, thinking.

After several attempts, he discovered that the combat instinct Fool Angel gave Yui was kind of "invincible" in a certain sense...

But skill-wise, her martial arts were inexplicably on par with those "grandmasters"—basically flawless.

Overall though, this supernatural path was pretty strong. At least in the early stages, it could provide really good practical combat help.

When everyone was "first-tier," Yui's ritual was clearly more combat-oriented.

Zoe on the side watched with sparkling eyes. Sister having such strong combat power was an incredibly good thing...

Yui herself was completely unaware though. She didn't remember what happened at all. Each time she regained consciousness, she'd cover her mouth and rush over to help David up, checking if the young master was hurt.

The young master's body wasn't hurt, but his pride was...

Late at night, David lay in bed with his brows furrowed, as if haunted by nightmares.

In the darkness, that lonely floating azure planet was still covered by countless deep red hands.

Still this dream. David watched that planet about to be torn apart, his heart aching...

But just then, those arms in the darkness stopped. Time seemed to stop flowing, even starting to reverse.

He found himself standing on one of those giant arms, moving back with them as they retracted into the darkness.

Then he saw a strange light, and behind him, there were two red arms.

They seemed to represent the two Hands of Divine Corpse he'd fused through the Limb Grafting Ritual...

Even in this unreal dream, David suddenly had a strong feeling.

He might be able to control those arms—as long as he collected enough arms, he could reverse all of that...

Thinking this, David opened his eyes.

But he didn't see his own ceiling. Instead, he saw a shattered starry sky. In the distance was a platform shrouded in mist, and on that platform, those two thrones radiating vast auras still stood.

"Here we go again..."

He realized he'd been pulled into the Shattered Temple again.

The other two guys who'd appeared in the temple last night were also nearby.

The Gatekeeper was the same as always—the moment he saw the thrones, he dropped to his knees, did nothing, and just crouched in the corner praying.

This seemed to trigger Efnathis's competitive spirit. The old guy not wanting to be outdone, threw himself flat on the ground, repeatedly bowing toward the thrones.

But David's gaze toward those two thrones became meaningful.
