RIP. It's been a good run, but, alas, all good things must come to an end.

I stayed up thinking about this. A lot. I know I'll lose 99%+ of my readers you after this announcement.

However.

After due deliberation, I've decided it's best to end things in the MA universe at the end of Book 1. I can now see that the vision for the sequel I have in mind -- while it's nice and developed (and even arguably much better than Book 1) in my own head -- is simply too different from the premise of the original book, to the point that calling it a sequel wouldn't make any sense.

I feel it is best to simply end the book where it ended and call it a valuable learning experience in literary development. At this point, we can consider what I've written of Book 2 Apocrypha/AU.

So, what's next?

Well....

I suppose I will finish the Devil's Advocate story and then see what happens. It's fully outlined until the end, after all.

Additionally, over the last year, I have also written about 20k words each in two other promising-but-incomplete projects, which I'll post at some point in case you feel like checking them out. One is a dark superhero fantasy concept called "Riftborn: Shadow Play" while the other is another Isekai called "I Was Reincarnated As An Eldritch Abomination" (the premise of that one is rather self-explanatory). I might develop them into something more complete at some point, maybe even this year, but, alas, time is a very limited resource. Having unlimited inspiration and yet limited time to convert it is one of the greatest curses of my existence (the other one being the occasional need for sleep -- bleh).

Maybe I'll also finish the Here Be Dragons fanfic purely for fun, as a relaxing change of pace.
