Before the Holy Priestess could react, she heard Eren's voice in her ears. His lips were merely inches away from her ears as if he had simply teleported there.

If life was a game, then he had basically skipped a stage of this game. Although going to the next stage without clearing the previous stage put him at more risk, now that he had returned to the previous stage and the benefits were more obvious.

The Holy Priestess was the main character, but even if she had all the luck of this continent, could she go against a demigod like Lysander? Now he was in the same stage.

The Holy Priestess had seen the previous Overlord of the Western Continent. But even she didn't give him this overwhelming feeling that Eren did. Her instincts were warning him against reacting.

She felt like she was suffocating under this pressure. Even the holy blessings that she received through the worship of the citizens was not enough to resist this aura.

"What are you?"

The fear and overwhelming pressure that she received from Eren was not something that a human could possess. At times, it even felt like a demon's aura, similar to the Necromancer Tower Master that dealt with death.

The only difference was that Eren's aura was even more overwhelming, something that she couldn't understand.

Just what had he experienced to become something like this? Was this the reason that the previous Holy Priestess had to give up her powers without even fighting?

"I... I will leave." She said with a little hesitation, expressing her desire to give up on this conquest.

If it was just her own fear, she would've still tried to take the help of the goddess that had helped him throughout. But even the goddess was telling her to give up.

The Goddess that granted her blessing, was the god that ruled over this lower world. It wasn't until the big change that occurred in the lower world years ago that things had changed.

Many gods had descended to the lower world, paying particular attention to the matters of this world. They were trying to find someone or something.

Most gods left after some time, failing to find what they wanted. Even if the world was weak, they couldn't stay here for longer as there was another existence that maintained the balance of this world.

They had already broken a few rules with their descent, having no choice to return.

Unfortunately, their brief visit had changed everything about this lower world. The previous divinities either fell, or left this world.

Four new Overlords rose to rule over different ends of the world with overwhelming strength. But more importantly, the purpose of the Overlords was only to find that thing that the divinities had failed to find.

The Goddess that helped the Main Character of this world was one that had died during that era of calamity. She was only left in a spiritual form, sleeping most of the time.

It was only after the death of the Goddess of Temple of Light that the world started recovering and her soul woke up.

At the moment, that same spirit was telling the Holy Priestess to leave this place, and not oppose this person

The Holy Priestess couldn't see it, but the remnant spirit of a god could clearly see that this person's strength was barely touching the limits of this world. If he was a little stronger, even he would've been forced out like those gods were forced out.

"Is this your decision, or the decision of the one hiding within you?" The Holy Priestess raised a brow at Eren's question and took a step back.

Eren reached out his hand, grabbing the girl's wrist and pulling her closer. "Do you really think you can come and leave as you please without any compensation?"

"What compensation do you want?"

The girl tried to free herself, but Eren's grip was impossible to shake off.

"What compensation do you want?"

"Stay behind and serve me," Eren looked deep into the girl's eyes.

His words left the girl in a daze. He wanted her to serve him? There were too many meanings behind his simple words. Just what kind of work did he want her to do when he was already so strong? It couldn't be fighting for him. Then what else? She had a bad feeling about this.

"W-what exactly do you want me to do?"

Her gaze was filled with uncertainty and a little fear. She wanted to erase this evil emperor. And now she had to serve him? Did he want her to warm his bed? Or something even worse?

Eren's lips crept up. "I'm not talking to you, little girl. I'm talking to her."

His gaze never left the girl's eyes, looking straight into her soul where the goddess's soul was hiding.

He did want the Holy Priestess to work for him. She was strong and could handle many things without his intervention. But even if she was useful alive, she was more useful dead.

He needed to kill the Main Characters of this world, as that seemed to be the only clue to awakening his bloodline that was related to time.

The last time he had killed the main characters, his bloodline awakening rate had risen a lot. With so many dangers in the upper realm, he wasn't in a mood to be merciful and play with his life.

The moment he descended, she had already given him a reason to kill her. And he wasn't going to leave this opportunity. But before that, he wanted to strip her of her only opportunity that might help her survive.

Although it was merely the soul of a goddess, it was still someone that once used to be in the upper realm.

At the end of the Western Continent's novel, the real identity of this soul was revealed which was something that Eren didn't want to lose.

If he tried to kill the Holy Priestess right away he wasn't sure what means this soul might have to forcefully escape. To prevent any risks, he aimed to take the soul for himself.

"You!"

The words made the Holy Priestess freeze. Eren didn't just know about the soul but also wanted to snatch it for himself?

"Impossible!" She yelled.
