Infinite Providence: The First Legendary Death Supreme!

Chapter 105: Even Inner Sect Disciples Aren't Safe!

Seeing the phoenix pinned to the ground, many spirits gasped before the humans even reacted.

This wasn't any normal spirit; it was one of the strongest when compared to its peers.

It shouldn't have been handled this easily by Ken, even if the match was far from over.

But what had happened had happened, and no one expected Ken's control over his weapon to be so amazing.

The phoenix on the ground was more surprised than even the elder master, who was discovering more and more truths about this disciple of theirs.

However, this was far from enough to make it yield.

The spirit's body shone for a second, and Ken lost his control over it as it phased through the weapon and regained its freedom.

Still, Ken wasn't disappointed.

Even if he had lost control over its body, he had won over its mind.

The spirit, no matter its experience, was still furious at the fact that Ken had managed to pin it down, and thus, its anger started eating away at its mind.

And no matter how it tried to control it, it didn't realize how bad it was to regain calmness in front of an enemy like Ken and thus, let itself let loose, its biggest mistake.

*FWshhhh* *BOOOM* *BOOOM* *BOOOM*

The phoenix launched itself at maximum speed towards Draco, and its feathers were shot like bombs towards Ken alongside swirls of verdant fire that exploded the second they came close to Ken.

But Ken's physical speed wasn't any worse than this flying entity's, as he was able to phase through attacks and evade in an almost impossible way, and in a situation where he should have gotten hit at the very least if not seriously injured, he was, against all odds, as fine as the second he started the fight.

"This can't be possible!" The phoenix, seeing Ken unscathed, couldn't believe its eyes, and thus, its frustration gained control over it on top of anger, and it went full offensive.

'Let's see if you can handle more bombardment.' The phoenix thought to itself as it rose slightly beyond Ken in the air and stopped with its wings wide open in glory.

Balls of verdant flames started surfacing all around it—one, two, four, eight, and then eighteen in total. Its feathers started glowing as if it prepared to launch them all at once and end up naked, and its beak rose to the sky with a light shining brightly from it.

Then it launched everything it had at once.

Ken, on the other hand, was thinking about many things. Should he use a restraining order? Or keep his skill set to his weapon alone?

Should he show more of his techniques or remain as is?

But the phoenix was nearing its defeat.

It had forgotten something, something fundamental about this tournament...

The fact that its energy was limited, and its body wouldn't be able to handle the unleashing of such a large-scale attack.

Thus, Ken only needed to do one thing, and that is to get out of the incoming onslaught of skills alive.

And that was much easier than it seemed.

His weapon, Sealed Mirage, was stronger than anything the entire sect could come up with, assuming it didn't bring out some ancient treasure.

And thus, all he had to do was surround himself with a cocoon of strings, and then...

"Transform!"

*Fwshhhh* *BOOOOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOOM* *BOOM* *BOBOOOOOOOM*

The attacks reached their target, and had the arena not been built of the strongest material and protected by miraculous formations, it wouldn't have survived the force of the attack.

And so was the case for Ken. Had his weapon not been so strong, he probably would have resorted to something else to escape this sure death situation.

Time passed, and people watched as the phoenix couldn't handle its glow at all and fell to the ground slowly like a beat-up chicken, and its eyes, not succumbing to sleep, kept gazing at Ken, wanting to see his state after such an attack.

After it had taken everything, it even forgot about its limitations and bombarded him to the point where it feared it might have seriously injured him or even caused his death.

But seeing as the elder hasn't moved, then it meant no such thing happened; otherwise, he would have been brought back from death if things went beyond what was allowed.

No one from the elders, nor the disciples, not even the spirit, was looking away from Ken's arena, as up till now, there was no attack this aggressive, not even within the official disciples section, as those focused more on pointers and then finishing it off with attacks of equal strength, more like a battle of mastery than anything.

But... would Ken be able to survive?

A second passed and then another before the sight of the chain cocoon was there for all to see.

They have been able to witness it coming forth, but none believed that they would be able to witness this much power from the opponent.

"This... it can't be possible..." And then, as a last blow to the phoenix, who couldn't believe its eyes... Ken untransformed his chains and walked out fresher than ever.

*Thud*

With no energy to spare, no willpower left, and emotions drained to no end, the phoenix couldn't help but fall unconscious, allowing for the elder master to come down and drop a pill in its mouth before it was announced that Ken was the winner.

Once again, in a completely unforeseen manner, Ken had overcome another trial... another impossible situation against all odds and came out unscathed against an enemy who'd cause a problem to any inner sect disciple.

Who would have thought? Ken had moved to the next round, and depending on his fortune, he might either come across an enemy he beats easier or have a showdown against an official disciple, only to fail...

That wasn't a possibility; it was a certainty, one Ken himself knew.
