The Paranoid Elf Queen Turned Me Into Her Sister

Ch. 44

Chapter 44 – Felicia

“…Thank you, Princess Zorsha.”

Bryn took a deep breath. He seemed to realize how disgraceful it was to cower before the battle had even begun, especially under so many watching eyes. He steadied himself a bit, a spark of focus returning to his gaze.

Seeing this, Felicia understood—Bryn had reclaimed the pride of a Divine Princess.

The moment that realization struck, her expression shifted sharply. The smile vanished without a trace, and she became solemn.

‘Divine Authority Domain: Activate.’

So it’s finally starting.

I closed my book, locking my eyes on Felicia and Bryn in the arena.

My own match would be in the afternoon. I’d agreed to come with John to watch other matches mostly to see how a typical Divine Princess fought.

But above all, I wanted to see what other Divine Authority Domains looked like.

If Divine Power was a Divine Princess’s unstoppable sword, then the Domain was her protective shield. The Domain's manifestation was often armor that appeared upon activation.

Of course, not all Domains were armor. Divine Princess Domains came in wildly varied forms.

Some really did look like full sets of heavy armor—others, like casual wear with barely a scrap of cloth.

The appearance didn’t determine protection. No matter what a Domain looked like—armor or bikini—the actual defense values were internal. In fact, some swimsuit Domains had higher physical resistance than heavy armor.

Divine Princesses were… bizarre like that.

Golden stone burst from the ground, forming a radiant throne. Felicia sat upon it with grace, as if crowned by the heavens, gems shimmering in a coronation of light.

Gold threads shimmered and wove themselves into brilliant armor across her body.

It was a suit of armor-dress trimmed with pale gold over silver. The upper body had only a chestplate—her smooth, flawless midriff left fully exposed. The tight curve of her flat stomach carried a strange allure.

The raised chestplate was clearly thick, but somehow did nothing to hide the princess’s overflowing assets.

Her arms bore only wrist guards, each engraved with the image of a white beast—emblem of the Whiteglass Kingdom.

Below, she wore a triangular knight-princess skirt plate. The armor hugged her peach-like rear, and between the hem and her high-heeled armored boots, her soft, milk-white thighs were left bare.

A gold-engraved crown sat atop her head. Twin amber ponytails flowed down to her knees on either side.

This luxurious knight-princess armor, woven with golden thread, was Felicia’s Divine Authority Domain.

Once she activated it, the crowd's cheers exploded. Countless eyes fixated on the graceful amber figure at the arena’s center.

I noticed something different from the rest of the audience. I had originally expected the Domains to manifest as practical, realistic armor—like full plate, completely covering the body.

But this… This wasn’t battle armor. If anything, “fetish armor” would be more accurate. It was basically fanservice.

With her arms, legs, and stomach exposed, I couldn’t imagine this armor actually stopping a lethal blow.

But Domains weren’t bound by logic or science—they were divine, after all. And not everything divine made sense.

“The Zorsha family’s Domain has the highest physical resistance of all Divine Princess Domains. The other three resistances are also above average,” John remarked.

That reminded me—could my Divine Appraisal show the specific stats of Felicia’s Domain?

Curious, I activated Divine Appraisal on Felicia.

On the field, Felicia’s body paused for a split second, her brows raising ever so slightly.

Just now, she’d felt a strange presence gazing upon her. It was the first time she’d experienced something like that, even under the protection of her [Throne’s Blessing]. It felt like someone had peered straight through her armor and seen her completely exposed…

But the feeling was fleeting—so brief it felt unreal.

Must have been her imagination.

Meanwhile, in the stands, I was staring blankly at the data in front of me.

It wasn’t that I didn’t understand the Elvish script—it was that the numbers were shocking. So much so that I thought my Divine Appraisal might’ve glitched.

Name: Felicia Zorsha

Divine Domain: [Throne’s Blessing]

Current Level: 17

Resistances:

Physical Resistance: ★★★★★★★★★ (9 Stars)

Magic Resistance: ★★★★ (4 Stars)

Alchemy Resistance: ★★★ (3 Stars)

Divine Power Resistance: ★★½ (2.5 Stars)

Domain Effect: ...

“This is straight-up cheating,” I muttered after reading the Domain’s effect.

“Huh? What’d you say?” John blinked, not following.

By this point, Felicia had already begun her charge. She dragged her colossal Crown Greatsword across the arena floor, every step leaving deep imprints in the earth and sending tremors through the ground.

On the other side, Bryn had also summoned his Domain—a gray cloak outfit that actually matched his rapier quite well. But the effect…

Domain: [Veil of Guile]

Level: 3

Resistances:

Physical: ★★★★★ (5 Stars)

Magic: ★★ (2 Stars)

Alchemy: ★★ (2 Stars)

Divine Power: ★ (1 Star)

Domain Effect:

Greatly increases jump ability.

Attacking from behind multiplies damage by 5.

I was stunned that Divine Appraisal could reveal such detailed resistance ratings and effects.

These four resistances—against physical, magic, alchemy, and divine attacks—functioned independently. Just like in a game, armor could block physical damage but did nothing against spells.

But even setting aside resistance numbers, the Domain effects alone were on completely different levels.

As the armored knight-princess bore down on him, Bryn took a deep breath and unleashed his specialty—his exceptional agility.

Just as the greatsword’s massive edge neared his neck, he leapt, landing behind Felicia with a rapier thrust.

That was Bryn’s combat style: simple, but effective.

It was especially strong against sluggish opponents. Before they could turn around, he could exploit his Domain effect for five times the normal damage.

He struck.

Felicia hadn’t turned to defend. Just as Bryn hoped.

The audience gasped—had Bryn actually landed a hit?

But maybe only Felicia and I knew… she didn’t need to turn around. Turning would’ve been a mistake.

Because—

[Throne’s Blessing] Effect:

When standing still, immune to all physical attacks.

When moving, immune to all magic attacks.

If that’s not cheating, what is?

CLANG CLANG!

Jubilation turned to horror.

Bryn’s eyes went wide. His rapier had clearly struck her back—but she was totally unharmed.

Before he could react, the massive sword swung back around.

The blade, broader than his shoulders, stopped a mere hair from his neck.

“…I concede.”

Though he’d already anticipated this outcome, Bryn still couldn’t understand why his five-times bonus attack had failed. Even as the referee declared the match over and the cheers resumed, he heard nothing.

“The grief of man is not shared. I only find them noisy.jpg”

I silently watched as Bryn walked off, defeated. He’d probably be sleepless for nights, his mind looping: “Why didn’t my five-times Kaioken work?”

And that was fair. He wasn’t a Divine Child—he couldn’t see just how ridiculous Felicia’s Domain truly was.
