Chapter 82. Dekan Directed a Horror Film
Dekan knocked on the door of room 105.
“Listen up, person inside. Surrender now and you can be treated with leniency. If we have to drag you out, the nature of the situation will change.”
The room was silent for a while.
Then, a voice full of hatred came through: “Where’s my sister?”
“She went back to the fountain.”
After Dekan replied, the other party fell silent again for a moment.
Although she didn’t understand what ‘back to the fountain’ meant, from Dekan’s tone, she probably got the gist.
“I swear, one day I will find you in the real world and kill you all!”
The twin sister’s voice carried a hint of a sob as she spoke through gritted teeth.
“What are you talking about? You still think you can go back smoothly?”
“Hehe.”
Only a slightly crazed laugh came from inside the door.
She seemed to think Dekan’s method of intimidation was idiotic.
Dekan sighed and turned back to look at Lilith.
“Negotiations failed. Could I trouble you to keep an eye on the twin sister here and not let her out?”
Dekan said with his hands on his hips, looking helpless.
Lilith: “No problem, leave it to us.”
Dekan: “Thanks for your hard work. We’ll go take care of our business then!”
Lilith: “What are you going to do?”
Dekan: “Is that even a question? Prepare for the party, of course!”
“Party, meow!”
Even the Cat Teacher became a little excited.
As expected, following this kid was easy.
Lilith: “???”
Dekan: “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of everything today, and tomorrow we’ll all have fun together.”
Lilith’s expression became even more confused.
She had no idea what Dekan was thinking.
And so, Lilith and her guard stood watch over the door of room 105.
As for Dekan and Cornelia, their figures disappeared from the corridor and were never seen again.
Several hours passed, and they began to feel a little hungry.
“Why is there such a strong smell of barbecue?”
Lilith sniffed and asked with some confusion.
Although there were ingredients in the kitchen, there was only an oven, not a barbecue grill.
Could she be hallucinating?
However, the aroma became more and more distinct, and even Lilith’s guard nodded in agreement.
“We’re here to deliver your lunch.”
A clear voice rang through the corridor.
Dekan and Cornelia reappeared at the other end of the corridor and walked towards them.
The two brought them skewers of grilled meat interspersed with fruits and vegetables.
“Thank you for your hard work.”
Cornelia also offered her sympathies.
Lilith and her guard were stunned again.
Was this atmosphere really appropriate?
But for some reason, seeing Dekan and Cornelia’s current state, they couldn’t muster a shred of tension.
This villa actually seemed like a good place for a vacation?
Forget it, whatever.
They gratefully began to enjoy the food.
To be honest, after coming to this Shadow World, they had never thought they would get to eat anything good.
After all, in this kind of atmosphere, almost no one would think of using the kitchen to carefully bake any delicacies.
“By the way, what kitchenware did you use to make this barbecue?”
Lilith suddenly asked.
“Huh? Didn’t you see that huge barbecue grill in the living room?”
“???”
…
In the afternoon, Lilith and her guard continued to watch the door, while Dekan and Cornelia disappeared again.
They said they were going to make some game props, since they still had a whole day to play tomorrow.
When it got dark, Dekan and Cornelia once again brought dinner to Lilith and her companions.
“Alright, you two should go back to your bedrooms on the second floor later. Don’t come out, or it will be very dangerous.”
Dekan said to Lilith and her companions with a smile.
“You don’t need us here anymore?”
“Mhm, we’ll take care of the enemy in the room, and then the vampire will be unsealed. We’ll take care of that vampire too.”
“You two be careful.”
“Don’t worry. Get a good rest tonight. Tomorrow will be a wonderful day.”
“Okay, thank you.”
Lilith didn’t ask any more questions. She nodded and left with her guard.
Dekan walked to the door of room 105 and placed his hand on it.
“Thug inside the room, confess the information about your Resurrection Church now, and maybe we’ll spare your life,” Dekan shouted.
“In your dreams, bastard!” the twin sister yelled furiously from inside the room.
Although she didn’t want to respond to Dekan, her mood was indeed too agitated.
From the moment she entered this Shadow World, everything had been too bizarre.
She and her sister were both perfectly hidden members of the Resurrection Church.
When they first discovered they had entered a confrontational Shadow World, they were both ecstatic.
She and her sister would undoubtedly become Rebellious Challengers, turning this Shadow World into their hunting ground.
However, the strange thing was—
Only her sister became a werewolf, while she did not become a witch.
But that didn’t matter much.
No matter what identity they obtained, their ultimate goal of killing people and taking cards would not change!
Even as a regular challenger, she would help her sister, who had obtained the werewolf identity, hunt down the other challengers.
They even felt their chances of winning were higher.
Because among this group of people, there must be an evil person unknown to them who had obtained the witch identity and wanted to harm the world!
Which meant the original 2 vs 8 had become 3 vs 7!
However, for some unknown reason, this damned witch just wouldn’t show herself, leading to her and her sister’s miserable end.
“Don’t come begging me later.”
Dekan shook his head regretfully and stepped back to make way.
“Cornelia, you can go.”
“Okay.”
Cornelia, carrying a spare 【Warhammer of Terror】, walked to the door and began to smash it.
“You two idiots! Even with all your brute force, you could smash it for a lifetime and never break this door open!”
Hearing the noise of the door being smashed, the sister shouted from inside the room.
However.
With each loud “Thud!” and “Thud!”
She gradually saw the thick wooden door seem to start deforming.
She rubbed her eyes and couldn’t help but take two steps closer, even suspecting that something was wrong with her eyes.
“THUD!!”
With that last hit, a small hole was finally smashed through the wooden door.
“No! Impossible!”
The sister screamed in panic, her eyes filled with desperate fear.
She staggered back a few steps as if she had gone mad.
However, her legs went soft, and she fell to the ground with a thud.
Dekan signaled for Cornelia to stop for a moment. He leaned in and looked at the sister in the room through the wooden hole.
“Hee hee hee hee…”
“Here is Dekan~!”
“No! Why!!”
The sister shrieked, trembling all over like a frightened bunny.
Her eyes were wide open, but through the crack in the door, she could only see Dekan’s increasingly unrestrained smiling face.
“Let’s play a guessing game. Who is the witch?”
Dekan looked at the sister, who was on the verge of tears from despair, with a grin.
“Wh-why?! Aren’t we supposed to be companions?”
The sister screamed hoarsely, her sharp voice particularly piercing.
She understood everything now.
The guy outside the door was the witch!
He had somehow stolen the witch identity that should have been hers!
Yet he stood on the opposite side of the werewolves, intending to trap and kill her and her sister!
This was unfair!!
“Hmph, who’s your companion?”
Dekan sneered.
“I just hypnotized myself into being a destroyer of worlds before entering the Shadow World.”
“Well, plus I have a higher probability of obtaining an evil faction identity, so I got lucky and snatched the witch identity that should have been yours.”
