There's Absolutely No Problem With The Magic Cards I Made!

Ch. 72

Chapter 72. Dekan's Major Crisis

Cornelia lightened her steps.

At this moment, she looked quite like a person trying to catch a pigeon.

She didn't dare to make too much noise, afraid of walking too slowly and scaring the pigeon away.

She even held her breath.

Is this a miracle?

Or was the little cat sick and had fallen into a coma?

Cornelia couldn't help but suspect this in her heart.

The thought that the little cat might need help made her quicken her pace slightly.

However, when she walked up to the little cat, she inadvertently blocked the sunlight that was originally covering it.

It unconsciously turned over, scratched its cheek, and continued to sleep soundly.

Cornelia was finally convinced that this was a little cat that was not afraid of her!

An uncontrollable throbbing emotion surged in her heart, and an indescribable excitement and exhilaration boiled within her body.

She felt like her heart was about to explode.

She placed a hand on her chest and took a deep breath.

She calmed herself down a bit.

She gently placed the cat food she was holding on the ground.

Then she walked under the tree, sat down beside this light-gray kitten, her face full of gentle expression.

She watched it like this for a few minutes and finally couldn't resist reaching out to touch it.

Perhaps this touch would startle it and make it run away.

But being able to stay by its side for so long and even touch it, Cornelia was already content.

The moment her finger touched the kitten, it was as if an electric current flowed from her fingertip into her heart.

So fluffy and soft.

The kitten showed no resistance either.

Cornelia felt so happy.

It was like a dream.

She shook her head, pinched her own face, and finally couldn't help but let out a light laugh.

She was a bit greedy and carefully picked up the kitten, letting it lie in her arms.

Then she continued to look at it just like that.

...

I felt like I was back in the Demon Academy in a dream.

The familiar fragrance, the soft and warm touch on my skin, and that strangely relaxing sense of security.

I could even seem to hear someone's heartbeat.

It was beating a little faster than my own heart.

Very sleep-inducing.

I still want to sleep a little longer.

No, I can't indulge in this any longer.

I'll never wake up.

As consciousness gradually returned, Dekan the cat also slowly opened his eyes.

Compared to the light filtering through the shade of the trees, what attracted his gaze more were the slanted strands of red hair and those eyes as clear as spring water.

Dekan the cat couldn't help but widen his eyes.

“Meow!”

He didn't expect to be in Cornelia's arms the moment he woke up.

Originally, he just thought of coming here to pretend to be an ordinary magic cat, and then wait for Cornelia to come and play with her for a while.

He didn't expect to fall asleep while lying on the lawn.

And he was even picked up by Cornelia during his rest.

I realized that I had no sense of alertness towards her at all.

If any other person or cat had approached, I would have probably been startled awake long ago.

“S-sorry, kitty...”

Seeing the frightened look of the cat in her arms, Cornelia's eyes showed a hint of disappointment, and she reluctantly relaxed her hands.

Preparing to put it down.

I still scared it.

“Meow.”

However, she found that the cat's fright seemed to be only momentary, and it quickly calmed down.

“You, you're not, afraid of me?”

Cornelia asked in a soft voice, with a hint of probing.

Besides being able to use elven magic, Elf Cats could also understand human language.

A leader of the Elf Cats like the Cat Teacher could even directly speak the language of the Norton Kingdom.

Dekan the cat nodded his head. Although his eyes were still very cold, there was no sign of resistance.

Cornelia bit her lip and finally couldn't help but break into a joyous smile.

To think this day would actually come!

“Can, can I, pet you?”

The kitten hesitated slightly, then nodded again.

“Th-thank you!”

Cornelia tried her best to control her strength, and her small hand gently touched the kitten's chin.

Then she slowly stroked it twice.

Seeing that the kitten showed no resistance, she boldly stroked the kitten's head and back again.

She was now gradually discovering that although this kitten looked aloof and cold, its personality was incomparably gentle.

So Cornelia's hand gradually moved towards the kitten's belly.

However, this time the kitten struggled.

It seemed to find it too itchy, and all four of its limbs flailed in the air.

Cornelia immediately stopped her hand.

She then tentatively poked the pads of the cat's paw.

The cat didn't react, looking like it was letting her play as she pleased.

It seems to be fine now.

The meaning of this cat was very easy to understand.

No struggle meant yes.

Struggle meant no.

Cornelia rubbed the cat's soft fur with her hand, her eyes growing more and more doting.

It seemed that the more she petted it, the more addicted she became, from time to in time lifting the cat to rub it against her cheek twice.

Dekan the cat's eyes were a bit helpless, but he gradually became relieved.

He recalled that he was actually quite scared when he first met Cornelia at school.

Later, he discovered that she actually knew how to control her strength very well.

There were almost no instances of accidentally injuring others.

It was just that sometimes Cornelia got a little excited, so her trembling appearance made it seem as if she couldn't control her strength.

I'm afraid she's been misunderstood since she was a child.

Alright, it's about time to run away.

Cornelia should be in a better mood now.

Just as I was about to break free from Cornelia's embrace, flip over and jump down.

“W-wait a minute.”

After Cornelia spoke, she held Dekan the cat to her chest and gazed into the cat's eyes with reluctance.

“Stay, stay with me a little longer, just, just a little, o-okay?”

Ugh.

My heart began to struggle.

This is not good.

I can't be soft-hearted, otherwise, who knows how long she'll keep me!

“Meow...”

Dekan the cat still nodded.

Cornelia was too despicable.

How could one refuse those eyes?

Cornelia began to gently stroke the soft and smooth fur on the kitten again.

Her technique was becoming more and more skilled.

Dekan the cat couldn't help but close his eyes to enjoy the comfortable massage, and his brain became a little dull.

Cornelia seemed to still be testing which parts of the kitten's body could be touched.

She tried everything from the ears to the tail.

Satisfying her strong curiosity.

Finally, she stared at the kitten for a long time.

“You, you're a, a boy, I, I can see your ○○!”

As Cornelia spoke, she slowly reached out her hand to try and poke it.

This time, even I felt a chill run down my spine and my eyes snapped open.

“Meow meow meow!”

The cat struggled desperately in Cornelia's arms, rolled onto the grass and stood firm, instantly looking like a little tiger with its fur on end.

That was a close call!

So close, so close!

What if Cornelia really didn't control her strength well.

I would be done for!

And no matter what, being poked in my ○○ by a girl I spend every day with, how could we work together in the future!
