There's Absolutely No Problem With The Magic Cards I Made!

Ch. 56

Chapter 56. Dekan Had Never Met Such a Wholesome Person

“Cloix? Are you sure we can find him?”

I asked.

“He should be in his dorm, meow! He rarely goes out!”

The Cat Teacher struggled painfully in my arms.

I frowned slightly. At first, I thought Cloix was the name of some teacher.

It seemed he was a student.

To reach the sixth rank at such a young age was truly impressive.

You had to know that this useless cat who called himself a teacher was only at the fifth rank.

“How do I find him?”

“Go to the boys’ dormitory of the Mage Academy, meow, fourth floor, room number four!”

“Got it.”

So, under the guidance of the Cat Teacher, I brought it to dormitory 404 of the Mage Academy.

Knock knock.

I knocked on the door.

Although I hadn't seen the owner of this dormitory yet.

But seeing the room number, I had already developed a slight fondness for him.

It seemed he was a kindred spirit.

But I couldn't help but feel puzzled.

The other party lived on the fourth floor, could he be a first-year student?

According to the dormitory rotation rules, before we enrolled, the old batch of third-year students graduated and left, vacating the fourth and fifth floors.

So most of the new students of our year would move into these two floors.

A sixth-rank Cloix was unlikely to be a new student.

So was he actually a third-year student who had been held back?

I stood outside the door thinking, and heard a series of footsteps coming from inside the room, gradually getting clearer.

Soon the door was opened by a brown-haired youth.

His features could be described as delicate, with the corners of his eyes drooping slightly, looking like a very gentle person.

“Hello… are you student Dekan?”

The brown-haired youth was surprised at first when he saw me, and then his face was full of confusion.

This youth must be the Cloix the Cat Teacher mentioned.

“Cloix, save me, meow!”

Before I could explain, the Cat Teacher pounced on Cloix in an instant.

Cloix was so startled that he fumbled to catch it.

“…Cat Teacher, what trouble have you gotten into again?”

“This bastard, I don’t know how he made a poison that can’t be cured by purification magic! I’m poisoned, I’m dying, I’m dying, meow!”

The Cat Teacher cried out noisily.

I snorted coldly:

“You stupid cat, you ran into my dorm to steal food, and now you’re blaming me?”

If it weren’t for the fact that it was somewhat cute, I would have wanted to summon the Ruined Poet.

“Student Dekan, I’m really sorry. He’s the weirdest teacher in our Mage Academy. Please excuse his behavior… Wait for me to cure his poison before you lecture him.”

Cloix was about to go back to his dorm to find the 【Forced Dispel】 card, but then he hesitated.

“By the way, student Dekan, have you made the poison the Cat Teacher was afflicted with into a spell card?”

Cloix suddenly asked.

“I have.”

“Can I borrow it for a moment?”

I didn’t hesitate much and handed 【Alternating Toxin 1.0】 to Cloix.

After getting the card, Cloix had no intention of looking for 【Forced Dispel】 anymore.

He immediately cast 【Alternating Toxin 1.0】 on the Cat Teacher.

“What are you doing?”

I was surprised by Cloix’s behavior.

But soon my expression became even more astonished.

I saw that when Cloix cast 【Alternating Toxin 1.0】 on the Cat Teacher, the Cat Teacher immediately relaxed.

“Phew, I’m saved, meow.”

The Cat Teacher leaped onto the ground with ease, closed its eyes, and raised its head, as if marveling at the beauty of the air.

It had completely regained its vitality and dashed into Cloix’s dormitory in a flash.

It seemed to have the intention of plundering all the food.

Seeing this bizarre scene, I held my head with a conflicted expression.

“What is going on…”

I felt as if my beliefs were collapsing.

It would have been one thing if the alternating toxin was dispelled.

But why could an alternating toxin be cured by an alternating toxin?

What kind of catastrophic bug was this?

I thought for a while but couldn’t find an explanation.

I grabbed Cloix’s shoulders.

“How did you cure this poison?”

Cloix seemed to be used to my expression, and explained with a wry smile:

“This is because I carry a god’s blessing—all spell damage I cause will be converted into healing. And if I use curse magic or poison magic, it will become the corresponding curse removal and detoxification.”

“There’s such a thing…”

I muttered to myself, somewhat dazed.

So Cloix was this kind of unconventional mage.

I thought for a moment and asked again, “Even though the poison just now was a mixture of two buff states, you could still eliminate it?”

“The blessing judges based on the result.”

“…”

My mood instantly dropped quite a bit.

This bug couldn’t be fixed.

This was a cheat.

But I quickly thought of something else.

I suddenly raised my head and looked at Cloix.

“If you use your trait to heal others, will they still feel pain?”

“That’s the case most of the time. They have to endure the pain of being directly hit by the spell… so under normal circumstances, I would avoid using this trait to heal my companions.”

Cloix seemed to recall some bad memories, and there was a hint of fear in his eyes.

I looked at Cloix, my eyes shining brighter and brighter.

I shouted with some excitement, “Student Cloix, your ability is really too useful! You’re practically an angel! I want to team up with you and conquer the Shadow World together!”

“Eh?”

Cloix’s eyes widened, his face full of surprise.

He seemed to be wondering if this was a dream.

He had never thought that someone would invite him to conquer the Shadow World together again.

Even less did he expect the one inviting him to be the recently brilliant me.

Cloix: “Why…”

Me: “Our squad happens to need an interro… a healer! You are undoubtedly the most suitable one for us!”

If I could get Cloix’s help, no matter how Cornelia and I tormented our enemies, we would never kill them!

And the healing process could inflict even greater torment!

It might even be possible to make the enemy continuously endure 60 times the painful healing while remaining conscious!

Cloix was undoubtedly the best candidate to be an interrogator!

“…”

Cloix was silent for a long time.

He seemed to smile helplessly, and soon his expression took on a hint of bitterness as he said:

“No, student Dekan. I’m really grateful for your invitation, but I can’t bring harm to you all.”

“You don’t have to worry. Cornelia and I generally don’t need your healing. You’ll be responsible for… healing those who need to be healed.”

“I’m sorry, I really can’t agree.”

“Do you have a fixed team?”

“No.”

“Then our Beautiful Mind Squad is undoubtedly your best choice! Once Cornelia and I reach the fourth rank, we can team up.”
