Jason bent to the left and lashed out with a slap. A hydra worm goes flying towards the raging water, but before it can fall in the water it does everything it can to stop itself.
Jason ignored this as he continued his move, turning it into a rotation so as to bring his foot up and over. Though this wasn't a kick, rather he used it to fling away three of the monsters as thankfully they don't weigh all that much.
Of course, his attacks aren't without consequences. The worms had been outputting a bunch of ooze and it wasn't like he was using some sort of force field. That meant his leg and hand are now covered in a sticky mess. A sticky mess that started to cause a nasty burning sensation. Oh, and a tingle, but that was quickly taken care of by his poison resistance.
Because of course, you can't just settle for plain old acid when you can also add in a weak anesthetic. Though with how slippery the ooze felt it might actually be a base instead. Not that Jason was all that worried about the damage it was doing. Instead, what worried him was the fact that it was empowered by Mana and so wasn't going to just wash off later. At least not easily.
That didn't stop him from continuing his barrage of attacks. What did that was one of the hydra worms smacking two mouths into his leg and pulling it out from under him. The teeth stung, but being knocked over would be the killer. As seemed to be the theme with these monsters. They didn't seem to do anything directly lethal, but they sure did stack the deck.
Jason however wasn't up for a worm pile and as he had already found out, the hydra worms were actually quite light. Sure, the one was managing to pull him off balance, but that had more to do with him standing on one foot after having kicked out instead of the actual force behind the attack. So while he does fall to the ground, he stops his fall using his hands and turns it into a cartwheel.
The hydra worm is unable to let go in time and so is pulled along before being slammed into the ground. Then Jason steps on it as he completes the cartwheel. Though at that point he makes a mistake. It would honestly have been the perfect point to use war stomp in any other fight.
So with his heel stomping the connection point between the heads, a flower blooms. This, of course, promptly shreds that connection point and the seven heads all wriggle off in different directions and Jason's fear proves true. From the stump on each head section, six tiny new heads begin to grow.
Good thing for Jason they don't quite have troll level regeneration. Instead, while the new limbs are visibly growing, unless the fight really goes long they won't have fully grown. Though still a problem as those small parts can likely still try to bite and grapple, but not as bad as almost doubling the number of enemies he is fighting.

Of course, the fight didn't stop for him to pay any more attention to the escaping limbs and he is forced to jump away again as two more of the monsters try to slam into him.
Jason snaps both hands out and snakes them in-between the attacking heads. His hands, having dodged the grapple, then proceeds to grapple in turn, grabbing a monster each.
With both attacking monsters in hand, Jason tosses them off into the raging water and the two are washed away. He doesn't get any experience or loot, but it does make the fight easier to handle.
Then the three he had thrown off at the start made it back to him. Jason was ready though and slapped two of them away as the third got three mouths hooked onto his torso. He ignores that though as he makes a grab at one of the partial worms that had started to sneak up on him.
The six regrowing limbs are now large enough to make a concerted grab in turn, but without eyes Jason is able to once again get around the attack and pitch the monster into the water. This one vanishes even faster as without seven fully grown heads it can effectively grab onto the edges. Not that it helped the previous two monsters.
Though as the limb washes downstream, a shocking event happens. The other six limbs abandon what they were doing and jump into the water to follow it.
Jason isn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth, especially as the hydra worms that had bit into his torso had moved into an all limb grapple. That and a good bit of wriggling has really spread the basic ooze all over. He continues to ignore it though.
Another of the monsters is approaching, and Jason was ready for it. The hydra worm avoids his attempt at a grab, so he turns it into a blast slap, slamming it into the ground. From there, he devotes another few blast attacks to finally kill one of the things.
Then the two that had been pushed away are once again on him. This time, though, he doesn't ignore the monster attached to his body. Instead, he grabs it by the point that the limbs join together and rips it out.
This causes a decent chunk of damage and a small amount of blood oozes out of the wounds before it solidifies. Then, with hydra worm in hand, he slams the monster into the two incoming ones comboed with a blast attack from the grasping hand. The held worm gets most of the blast channeled into it, pulverizing the creature's insides.
At the same time, the two advancing worms are forced back. Jason, however doesn't let them stabilize. Energy flows through him as he drags himself forward without needing to even take a single step.
The two hydra worms can't even sense his approach as Jason arrives next to them. At this point, even the mindless worms realize something is wrong and so they try to escape into the ground. One hop later and Jason lands on the two with a double blast instead of using war stomp.
Though this only manages to kill one of the hydra worms. The other manages to move fast enough and only three of the limbs get crushed as the other four manage to escape into the ground.
