Zhang Yuxi came downstairs holding Fatty.
The lights in the room were dimmed, making the lights on the Christmas tree stand out beautifully.
Er Bao immediately sent a video to Tian Tian. As soon as the call connected, he screamed, "Tian Tian, look! We have a Christmas tree too, and it's even bigger than yours!"
Si Bao sidled up with a grin. "And there are lots and lots of presents!"
Tian Tian blinked her big eyes, envious that the quadruplets had such a huge Christmas tree. She asked curiously, "Didn't you say your parents didn't buy one?"
Da Bao's voice came through the phone. "Mommy and Daddy bought it a long time ago. They just wanted to surprise us!"
San Bao pressed his face against Er Bao's. "We absolutely love this surprise!"
"Then let's open our presents together!" Tian Tian said with a beaming smile.
"Okay!" Er Bao replied joyfully.
And so, through the screen, the five children began opening their presents together. Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi had prepared a great many gifts for their babies, including clothes, princess tiaras, apples, toys, picture books, and more. With every gift they opened, the five children would erupt into an excited discussion.
Lin Feng held Zhang Yuxi, a gentle smile gracing his lips as he watched the scene. "Honey, there's a Christmas present for you in there too."
Zhang Yuxi was both surprised and delighted. "Honey, I get one too?"
Lin Feng smiled. "Of course. You're my greatest treasure."
And so, Zhang Yuxi joined the children. It was only then that she noticed Lin Feng had torn the name tags off all the packages.
"What's this?" San Bao opened the package in his hands to reveal a beautiful bracelet. It was clearly an adult's design. "Mommy!" he said, quickly handing it to Zhang Yuxi.
Zhang Yuxi took it and saw it was a stunning Cartier bracelet. She fell in love with the style and craftsmanship at first sight. "Honey, thank you!"
Lin Feng, sitting on the sofa, smiled tenderly. "Keep looking." His tone implied there were more gifts for her.
It had been a long time since Zhang Yuxi had felt the thrill of opening presents. The four children and Zhang Yuxi continued to dig through the pile of gifts, unwrapping one after another. This time, Zhang Yuxi got lucky and opened her second present: a pair of beautiful, decorative earrings with a tassel design. Her ears were sensitive, so she could only wear pieces with pure silver or gold hooks.
"Honey, thank you!"
The children gathered around Lin Feng, showering him with sweet words.
"Daddy, thank you for the presents! Si Bao loves you the most!"
"Daddy, I love you! I super, super love you!"
Lin Feng smiled. "Mommy helped prepare these presents for you too!"
The children immediately turned to shower Zhang Yuxi with flattery. Liu Qing, still on the video call, got a front-row seat to their public display of affection and was practically dying of envy.
That night, Zhang Yuxi presented her own gift. She made an exception and provided Lin Feng with a... special service. He expressed his utmost satisfaction.

An Lan and Liu Bo's wedding preparations were in full swing for two months, with the date set for January 1st. The venue was Xinghao International, a hotel owned by Lin Feng. Although officially rated as three-star, its facilities were nearly on par with a four-star establishment. It had an excellent reputation in Yangcheng, and business was booming.
An Lan's mother flew back from Modu specifically to care for her daughter, while Liu Bo was busy with the wedding preparations. For the marriage, he had bought a furnished, three-bedroom apartment of over 140 square meters, complete with a living and dining room. He decided to give the apartment he'd previously bought to his parents after taking possession of it. The new apartment was not far from Cuihu Villas, only about a twenty-minute drive away. Because of this, Zhang Yuxi would take the children to visit An Lan every Saturday and Sunday.
An Lan's bridesmaids were Song Tian'er, Zhou Yi, and Han Wen. Han Wen and An Lan had hit it off immediately and become fast friends the first time they met. Both she and Zhou Yi had also attended Zhang Yuxi's wedding.
That weekend, upon hearing that Zhou Yi and Song Tian'er had arrived, the Lin family drove over to An Lan's house. The living room was quite lively. An Lan's mother was in the kitchen cooking while An Lan and her friends chatted in the living room. The arrival of the children made things even more bustling. After greeting everyone, Zhang Yuxi took off the children's coats, and Lin Feng went into the kitchen.
Once she was done tending to the children, Zhang Yuxi finally sat down. An Lan's figure was a little fuller, and she seemed to be in high spirits. Song Tian'er and Zhou Yi had taken a week off work just to attend the wedding. With only three days left, An Lan, being pregnant, had the most free time. Her days consisted of eating and sleeping, then sleeping and eating. Everyone pampered her so much that her every whim was catered to.
An Lan lay on the sofa and sighed. "Sigh, I also wanted a romantic wedding, but my condition doesn't really allow for it. It's a little regrettable."
Zhou Yi, munching on sunflower seeds, retorted, "Regrettable, my foot! You have a husband with a house, a car, and a career, and he absolutely dotes on you. I'm dying of envy, okay?"
Song Tian'er smiled. "What kind of romance are you looking for? You're pregnant!"
At the mention of the baby, An Lan started sighing again. "Don't even talk about the baby. My wedding dress got tighter again." She glanced at Zhang Yuxi. "Why aren't you saying anything?"
Watching the children play, Zhang Yuxi distractedly replied, "Say what? You want me to humor your nonsense?"
An Lan pouted. "You've been through this. Share some of your wisdom! For example..."
A sharp look from Zhang Yuxi flew over, making An Lan jump. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Zhang Yuxi said slowly, "I know what you're about to ask. Shut up."
An Lan was shocked. "Then tell me, what was I going to ask?"
Not bothering to answer, Zhang Yuxi stood up and went to the kitchen.
An Lan pursed her lips and sighed again. "Ugh, why do I feel so weird whenever I think about getting married?"
Zhou Yi stood up. "I'll go see if Auntie is done cooking."
An Lan continued talking to herself. "Can I just not get married? Is it too late to back out now?"
Song Tian'er also stood up and headed for the kitchen. "I'll go take a look too..."
An Lan finally realized everyone had left.
Dammit! Are we even best friends? They're actually fed up with me!
As an aside, Si Bao was going to be the ring bearer this time, wearing the little suit from the last event. The fabric was thin, so he just needed to wear an extra layer underneath.
In the kitchen, An Lan's mother and Lin Feng were stunned to see all three women troop in. An Lan's mother suggested, "Why don't you all wait outside? The food will be ready soon."
Since Zhang Yuxi was close with An Lan's mother, she spoke bluntly. "An Lan was getting all sentimental again, and we couldn't bear to listen anymore."
An Lan's mother sighed as well. "That's nothing. I'm the one she's been nagging the most. If I weren't worried she'd have a last-minute change of heart and call off the wedding, I would have put her in her place long ago."
Song Tian'er was startled. "She might really call it off?"
An Lan's mother considered it. "When that girl gets a crazy idea in her head, she can be pretty terrifying!"
Everyone was speechless.
Zhang Yuxi thought for a moment. "I guess I'd better go listen to her ramble then."
Just as she turned, she saw An Lan standing at the doorway with a hungry look on her face. "Mom, Director Lin, is it ready yet? I'm starving!"
What a carefree attitude!
Zhang Yuxi took An Lan's hand. "Not yet. Wait a little longer!"
At the dining table, An Lan ate while simultaneously regretting that she was eating so much.
The others were at a loss for words. Do all pregnant women turn into such chatterboxes? This woman talks way too much; we wish we could tape her mouth shut.
After the meal, An Lan wanted to go to sleep, but Zhang Yuxi tried to take her downstairs for a walk. An Lan started acting spoiled.
"Yu Xi, I really don't want to go..." she whined pathetically.
Zhang Yuxi ignored her protests, changed her shoes, and simply led An Lan out the door.
The moment An Lan was gone, her mother let out a sigh of pure motherly exasperation. "Finally, she's gone! At last, we can have a moment of peace."
