Raviel gripped his sword tightly, lowering his stance and steadying it.
"Fine then. Let's see how good you really are, Garion."
Garion raised his sword, smirking. "Yeah, and show me what you've got, Raviel."
Without another word, Raviel lunged forward fast and cleanly.,
The blade cut through the air straight toward Garion's shoulder.
CLANG!
Garion tilted his sword slightly, deflecting the attack with minimal effort.
Raviel followed up immediately, twisting his wrist and slashing again from the side.
Garion stepped back just enough to let the strike pass by an inch.
Raviel didn't stop, switching his grip and thrusting forward, using a quick martial arts move.
[Fang Strike]
Garion parried again, positioning his sword into the place where Raviel would attack next based on his movement.
"Still too predictable, Raviel. Try to make it more unpredictable."
Raviel's eyes narrowed as he pivoted, swung low, and went straight for Garion's legs before suddenly shifting upward into a high slash.
Garion met it mid-swing and pushed him back a bit, smirking.
"Not bad. You still remember your form, and also it's better than I thought."
Raviel tightened his grip. "How the hell are you deflecting all my attacks? Aren't you supposed to be a brute?"
Garion chuckled and stepped to the side. "Of course I am, but I'm a smart one."
Raviel frowned. "A smart brute?"
Garion nodded. "Don't think that I only excel in fistfights. I'm quite proficient with many weapons."
Raviel snorted. "You're bluffing."
Garioj twirled his sword once, shifting his stance effortlessly. "Try me, then."
Raviel growled and charged again, swinging his sword with even more power than before.
Garion met each one perfectly with minimal movement by simply redirecting each of his strikes, forcing him to lose rhythm.
After several exchanges, Garion countered with a quick strike, tapping Raviel's wrist just enough to make him drop his guard.
Raviel stepped back quickly, sweat forming on his forehead. "You're quite difficult to fight. You basically read all of my moves."
Garion smirked. "You're so easy to read. Every step and shift you make, it's telling what move you do next."
Raviel clicked his tongue. "You talk too much for someone holding back."
Garion's grin widened. "Holding back? I'm just warming up."
Raviel's expression darkened. He took a deep breath and used a lower stance than before.
"Fine then. This time I'm going to be even more serious than before."
Garion nodded, smiling. "That's the spirit. Let's see what the patriarch of the Revalis Clan can do when he's serious."
Raviel launched forward again. His movements were sharper this time.
His sword strikes came faster and less predictable than before.
Each swing flowed into the next, like an actual martial artist rather than a spellcaster.
Garion's smile faded slightly as he started moving more seriously, parrying with faster reactions.
"Now you're fighting like a cultivator who trained his body, not just his mana."
Raviel kept up the pressure, attacking from multiple angles, filling the room with the sound of clashing steel.
Finally, Garion saw a chance and counterattacked and tapped the flat of his sword against Raviel's chest.
Raviel froze, staring down at the blade.
Garion lowered it and smiled. "That's enough for now. You've got skill, but you just forgot how to use it."
Raviel exhaled, resting his sword on his shoulder. "You're stronger than I expected."
Garion chuckled. "You're better than you think. You just need to stop being mana dependent and start using your brain again."
Raiviel smirked, rolling his shoulder. "Easy for you to say, smart brute."
Gairon laughed, shaking his head. "You know... after fighting you, I knew your fighting style."
He struck the air once, then clenched it. "You're fast and powerful at the same time, exactly like the flaming storm."
Raviel nodded and grinned wide. "That's the Revalis way."
Garion crossed his arms. "Exactly. You've got power and speed, and you're already quite proficient with a sword."
He rolled his eyes, smirking. "So let's push that even further."
He reached into his system storage and took out a massive greatsword. It was thick, heavy, and easily taller than either of them.
Raviel blinked. "Wait, hold on. I'm fast, remember? Why would you hand me a big sword?"
Garion clicked, patting the flat side of the blade.
"Because you're fast and powerful. With them, you can use this greatsword to hit like a heavy and swift meteor."
Raviel frowned. "I'm supposed to be fast. This thing will slow me down."
Garion grinned. "That's what your enemies will think too. They'll assume you can't move well with it."
His grin widened. "And then you surprised them with your amazing speed and hit them where they least expected."
Raviel looked unconscious. "You're saying I'll use this to trick my opponents?"
Garion nodded. "Exactly, you can feint slowness, bait them to attack, and then counter before they can blink."
Raviel looked at the greatsword again. "But didn't that slow me down? I'm not like you."
Garion laughed. "Yeah, I know, but that's the very reason why we're training, isn't it? to make you even stronger?"
He looked at the greatsword again. "Besides, normal swords are too mainstream. If you want to stand out, you need to be different."
Raviel raised an eyebrow. "Different, huh? You just want to watch me suffer."
Garion smirked. "Maybe. But it'll pay off. Trust me."
He then raised the greatsword with a casual stance that looked almost too relaxed for a weapon that size.
"Now, I'll show you the best way to use a greatsword."
Raviel frowned. "So we're sparring again? I'm already quite tired."
Garion nodded. "Of course. But this time, you can use anything you want, except your domain."
Raviel perked up, standing directly. He smirked, as this time he could go all out.
"Alright then. Don't complain if I hit too hard."
Garion chuckled, shifting his stance. "I'd be disappointed if you didn't."
The air between them thickened with pressure as both men stared each other down, their auras quietly rising.
