Rachel looked at Garion, her voice quiet but uncertain.
"Are you really sure… You want to take me?"
Garion nodded without hesitation. "Of course I am."
Rachel's eyes lowered.
"But… you know about my condition, right? My body isn't like everyone else's."
Garion chuckled softly, resting his hand on the table.
"Of course I know. In this clan, that weakness is seen as a curse."
He leaned forward slightly, his tone firm but warm.
"But the God Gym isn't like this place. We don't care about bloodlines or talent."
Rachel blinked, looking up at him. "Then… what do you care about?"
Garion smiled.
"Effort. That's all. If you can move, you can improve. That's the only rule that matters."
Rachel looked at him, still uncertain but with a bit of hope.
"You really believe that?"
Garion smirked. "I built an entire sect on it."
She laughed softly and a little sadly.
"Then maybe there's hope for me after all."
Garion's tone turned firm, though his smile remained.
"There is. I'll personally guide your training. You won't be like the others. You'll be stronger, little by little. You'll see."
Rachel tilted her head slightly, watching him. "You talk like it's so easy."
Garion shrugged.
"It's not easy. But it's simple. You put in the work, and the results come. The rest is just time and willpower."
Rachel smiled faintly, her shoulders relaxing.
"You really do sound like someone who believes in people."
Garion's grin softened.
"I don't believe in people. I believe in effort. People fail, but effort doesn't."
Rachel chuckled quietly. "That sounds exactly like something you'd say."
Garion smirked. "And I mean every word of it."
Rachel's gaze then wandered toward the open night sky.
"It's strange. I spent years trapped here, thinking there was nothing left for me. And now… suddenly, someone's offering me a new path."
Garion crossed his arms, smiling.
"That's what I do, Miss Rachel. I find paths where people think there are none."
For a moment, neither spoke. The wind brushed through, gentle and cool.
Rachel broke the silence first. "Alright, then. I'll go with you."
Garion's grin widened. "Good. Pack your things tomorrow. We leave after the competition ends."
Rachel nodded once, her face calm but her eyes bright with something new.
As she turned to leave, Garion spoke again. "Oh, and Rachel?"
She paused and looked back. "Yes?"
He smiled.
"When you step into the God Gym… don't expect any special treatment. You'll sweat, struggle, and curse me at least ten times a day."
Rachel laughed softly, the first genuine laugh she'd had in a long time.
"Then I'll be sure to start counting."
Garion chuckled quietly as she walked out.
When the door closed, he looked out toward the night sky again.
"A weak body, huh? We'll fix that soon enough."
He crossed his arms, thinking for a moment, then turned toward the system.
"Alright system. Rachel had already agreed to join the God Gym... so give me my special reward."
A new system screen appeared, displacing a new notice.
[System Notification]
[Status: Rachel Revalis. Pending Elder Designation.]
[Condition: Not yet recognized by the God Gym System.]
[Requirements to Qualify:]
[- Path Conversion -> God Physique Path]
[- Cultivation Requirement -> Mana Core Cells Realm: Assimilation Stage or higher]
[- Recognition Requirement -> Officially acknowledged by God Gym disciples]
[System Note: Once all conditions are fulfilled, new title will unlock: Elder of God Gym.]
Garion's eyes twitched. "What the! Are you fucking kidding me?"
He rubbed the back of his neck, glaring at the system screen.
"Path conversion, assimilation stage, recognition... what is this? A job interview?"
The system stayed silent just like usual, accepting no complaints.
Garion sighed and leaned back.
"I swear my system loves to make things harder for me."
He then counted off the things he needed to do with his fingers.
"Alright, first... to convert her to the God Physique Path. That's quite easy. I can help her to change her path."
He then paused, thinking.
"Second, make her reach the Mana Core Cells realm and be at the Assimilation Stage. Not easy, as her body's still weak, but still doable."
He then thought about the third one, smirking.
"And lastly, to gain recognition by disciples. That's quite easy. The twins already adore her, and for others, as long as she is beautiful and kind... it will be easy."
He then folded his hand behind his head, concluding the requirements.
"So now, I need to make her body stronger and make others love her... all while training a bunch of loud disciples who can't even sit still."
He let out a quiet laugh.
"Yeah, sounds like a normal day at the God Gym."
Now he changed his thoughts to other matters, such as the next day, which would be significant and when the real competition would start.
Garion rubbed his chin, thinking.
"Tomorrow's their match. It'll be harder, and they'll be facing people who actually know how to use their mana traits properly."
He tapped his finger against the table, his gaze thoughtful.
"The twins also don't have any fancy weapons, either. They don't have swords, spears, or even small daggers."
He chuckled to himself. "All they've got are their fists… and a lot of attitude."
Garion stood and walked toward his own room. He stretched his arm, cracking his neck lightly.
"If other cultivators rely on weapons… maybe it's time I give my disciples something of their own."
His smirk returned, sharp and confident. "Not swords or spears. Something better."
He opened his system screen again and chose to activate a system function.
[System Function: Divine Equipment Creation]
[Status: Ready.]
[Input Request: Specify item concept.]
Garion grinned. "Let's make something special."
He began typing and speaking at the same time, his mind running fast.
"Combat suits. They are customized to be flexible and lightweight but tough enough to take direct hits. They also boost movement speed and physical output."
The screen glowed brighter as schematics began forming.
Garion rubbed his hand in excitement as it was time for him to edit it all.
"This will be so much fun and really interesting."
