I will be a demon in this life!

Chapter 122

Class S. Fourth Year.

Isirid Merliano had remained in her seat since arriving in the classroom; she was sitting in a seat near the windows and facing the blackboard, which some teachers used from time to time.

A teacher dressed in a black wizard's robe open in the middle, under which he wore a dark green shirt and black pants, looked at the students with his four blue eyes with red sclera.

All the students were silent in the presence of Professor Dervec Sej, then he said in a firm tone:

-Come forward, student, you may come in and introduce yourself to the class.

All the students were expectant at the words spoken by Professor Dervec.

A tall, slender, athletic young man enters the room. He has long, shiny purple hair, pure white skin, and purple eyes that resemble priceless gems. On each side of his forehead is a purple horn that looks like a beautiful crystal horn. He is wearing a black uniform with gold details.

The young man smiles charmingly and greets the students with a captivating voice, using a cheerful tone full of charisma.

-Hello, everyone. I am an exchange student from Abernal Academy. My name is Selef Goethe, and I am a demonic sorcerer at the starting point of the fifth rank. I hope we can all get along well.

After finishing his introduction, he smiled charmingly again.

The male demons felt that it was inexplicably impossible to feel hostility toward the handsome demon who had introduced himself.

The young female demons were so captivated that some of them even fainted due to Selef Goethe's beauty and charm.

-Oh! -exclaimed Selef, elegantly bringing his left hand to his mouth, after which he said. -I apologize for causing so many setbacks. I don't want to hurt any of the female demons here, so I want to make it clear to everyone that I am the proud fiancé of Miss Isirid.

The whole class was shocked by Selef Goethe's sudden declaration. However, shortly after, no one found it strange, and many even considered that only a young man with Selef's presence and talent was a worthy fiancé for the beautiful and imposing Miss Isirid.

The moment Selef made that statement in front of the whole class, Isirid, who had been behaving naturally until then, couldn't help but open her eyes wide in surprise, but she instantly regained her dignified and confident expression.

Some students murmured.

"But who is he?"

"That's right, I've never heard the surname Goethe before."

"Silence, it must be an ancient and secret lineage."

Speculation went back and forth until Professor Dervec said firmly:

-Be quiet. We will begin today's class shortly. Student Selef, please find a seat.

-As you wish, Professor Sej. -said Selef respectfully, then walked toward Miss Isirid.

Selef approached a young demon woman wearing the Danteriar Academy uniform. She had a white bandage over her eyes, a small blue horn protruding from her forehead, and dark blue hair.

-Miss, I would like to sit next to my fiancée. Do you think you could help me? -Selef asked politely.

The young demon woman's ears turned red, and she replied with a trembling voice due to her nervousness at exchanging words with the handsome Selef, but despite everything that was happening, she felt lucky.

-Yes, I can help you! -she exclaimed, and she got up with her notebook to find another seat.

Selef laughed and said:

-Thank you.

The young demon's demonic heart trembled and she nodded in gratitude to Selef.

Shortly after he sat down, Isirid said to him:

-It looks like you're having fun?

-Really? I just wanted to sit next to my fiancée. -Selef said enthusiastically.

She just turned her gaze forward, and shortly after, Professor Dervec began his class.

"Students, you all know that knowledge and the application of knowledge are two different things. It is through both that a magician, sorcerer, or warlock can master their spells and thus obtain efficient results. That efficiency can be the difference between life and death. Similarly, with invocations, knowledge and experience are required to avoid mistakes and know one's limits.

Summoning a weak being is simple for a wizard with average potential. Generally, most summons in this range are docile and weak, but they are ideal for adapting to the summoning process, especially for those with the potential to become summoners of demonic spirits.

Low-level invocations only require demonic energy, which will continue to be absorbed by the invoked spirit for the duration of the invocation.

Professor Dervec waved his right hand, and sheets of paper with demonic diagrams appeared on each student's desk.

"Students, I want you all to infuse demonic energy into the diagram on your desk."

The students brought their hands or upper limbs close to the demonic diagram and infused it with demonic energy, after which a ball of fire appeared for each student.

"What is in front of you is known as ghost fire. Try touching them."

The students touched the demonic spirits he had summoned and did not feel their flames.

"Try touching your classmates' demonic invocations."

When the students touched the demonic spirits they had not summoned, they could feel the slight heat of the other demonic spirits.

"As you can see, when a demonic spirit is summoned with the favor of the spirits, they do not harm their summoner. Now perceive."

When the teacher told the students to perceive, shortly afterwards the students realized how their demonic energy was being absorbed by the small demonic spirits.

"In the same way that these small demonic spirits absorb energy, so do medium, high, and transcendental level demonic spirits. However, as the level increases, so does the amount of demonic energy that is absorbed. But do demonic spirits only absorb demonic energy?"

A student whose hair was green leaves and whose eyes were completely orange with black pupils, who was sitting in the front row near the entrance to the classroom, replied:

-Some demonic spirits demand offerings.

"That's right, student Vecel. Some spirits demand offerings, and if they are not satisfied, they may act hostilely toward their host. That is why in this course I will teach you everything related to summoning demonic spirits, especially for those who wish to become summoners of demonic spirits..."

Professor Dervec's class continued, and Selef did not hesitate to write down everything the professor explained, so that he could later check whether the subject matter was useful to him.

••••

After classes ended for the day, Selef and Isirid walked through the halls of the Academy, drawing the attention of all the students who saw them.

-We're going to the Danteriar Gardens, right? -asked Selef, somewhat excited.

-Yes, I have nothing else to do, and my grandfather is busy with Academy affairs. -Isirid replied.

When they arrived in front of the green wall, an entrance appeared shortly after, from which one of the elegant minotaurs emerged to guide them to the Path of Solitude.

They walked for several minutes until they reached the path with the black roses, and shortly after, a spacious area appeared before them with a garden of black roses that emitted a calming and soporific scent, after which the elegant minotaur left them both alone.

••••

The area where they were standing was empty, but as soon as Isirid walked across the grass to the middle of the floor, it rose up like sand and eventually compacted into a circular platform from which roots emerged and transformed into an elegant chair.

"I can't ignore it. This labyrinth is amazing," thought Selef as he followed Isirid. As he was curious, he thought of an elegant chair, but nothing happened.

Isirid, who had observed Selef's thoughtful expression as he looked at the platform, said to him:

-Let the place absorb your demonic energy as you state your wish. If it is within the reach of this area of the labyrinth, your will shall be heard.

"It's like when you try to express your will in a curse," Selef concluded in his mind.

An elegant chair appeared next to Isirid's chair.

-It seems I succeeded. -Selef murmured smugly.

Isirid shook her head, sat down, and then made new roots grow into a beautiful tea table with elegant designs.

Selef couldn't help but be surprised, as the beauty and elegant details of the table that had appeared revealed Isirid's great control of demonic energy and willpower.

-You are a very talented sorceress. -Selef murmured.

-And I will be even more so. -Isirid said as she took a small wooden bell from her demonic ring and shook it without making any audible sound, but shortly after, Selef felt a powerful presence approaching.

Selef looked toward the place where he sensed the presence, and shortly thereafter, an entrance appeared in one of the walls, through which a female-shaped being made of roots entered, possessing two bright red eyes.

-Good afternoon, Miss Merliano. It seems you have company today. -said the arboreal being with a feminine silhouette whose voice seemed sinister to Selef.
