From Blade To Spell

Chapter 103: Flexing

Mumba was stunned, then quickly handed over his weapon.

Aaron took the sword and said calmly, "My Basic Sword Technique is at the highest realm."

He looked around and spotted a heap of leaves that had fallen from the trees the day before.

He pointed at them. "Pick as many leaves as you want in both hands and throw them toward me."

Rumba blinked in disbelief. "Lord Aaron… you mean we can all throw leaves at you, and you'll cut them all?"

Aaron replied with a faint smile, "Something like that. I'll satisfy your curiosity, but after this, you must practice seriously."

On the other side, Melina's team stood froze when they heard Lord Aaron's arrogant words.

No one in this world dared to claim they had perfected the Basic Sword Technique. So the Rose Guards looked at Lord Aaron, who stood with a confident expression on his face.

Rumba and the other guards began throwing handfuls of leaves. In the next second, they witnessed an astonishing scene.

There was only a blur, as if Lord Aaron had vanished and the leaves they had thrown were cut into pieces before they even realized what had happened.

A few seconds later, Aaron calmly handed the sword back and said, "Practice. If you train in Basic Sword Techniques every day for 100 years, you might be able to catch up with me."

His words brought them back to their senses. They looked at Lord Aaron with reverence in their eyes.

Meanwhile, Melina and her team stood with shocked expressions.

Unlike Rumba's guards, they understood that what Lord Aaron had just performed was an unachievable feat for most.

Melina whispered to herself, "I thought Lord Aaron was bragging… Only now do I realize how ignorant I was."

Lisa, blushing under her mask, murmured, "So awesome… I feel like I'm going to fall for him. Dammit!"

Tina, scratching her head, asked, "Mina, do you think anyone in the Verdia Kingdom could challenge Lord Aaron in Basic Sword Technique?"

Mina shook her head and replied in a low tone, "Maybe those old monsters who've reached the Golden Knight Realm. But at his age… he's invincible."

Tina nodded, admiration glowing in her eyes.

Then she noticed Luna, who was quietly staring at Lord Aaron.

Tina poked her cheek and said, "Stop staring like that, Luna."

Luna responded with a slightly excited tone, "Hey Lord Aaron, I've heard from the villagers that your archery is also amazing. Can I see it?"

Aaron gave a thoughtful nod. "Of course."

He added, "Give me a bow and an arrow. You can set any target, as long as it's within 1000 steps."

Luna's eyes sparkled beneath her mask. A playful smile appeared as she said sweetly, "Anywhere within 1000 steps, right? Don't forget your words."

She quickly found a log, took out an apple, and placed it behind the log.

"Lord Aaron, I've placed it here," she said with a grin, then returned to her team.

Melina sighed and knocked Luna on the head. "Lord Aaron, I apologize for her behavior."

Aaron, meanwhile, was pulling the bow, getting a feel for its tension.

After a few seconds, he said calmly, "It's okay. It's not a problem for me to shoot a target behind an object."

With that, he pulled the bowstring and released the arrow.

It flew through the air, curved mid-flight, and struck the apple behind the log.

Luna was stunned. "No way," she whispered, then rushed to inspect the apple.

Melina and her team followed, realizing that if Lord Aaron could shoot like that, his Archery Mastery was truly unfathomable.

They found the apple destroyed, shattered into pieces. The arrow was embedded in the ground where the apple had been.

Luna's expression turned solemn. She said, "Captain, I've decided to stay here. I'll train until my Archery Mastery reaches Lord Aaron's level."

Melina replied in a serious tone, "Don't worry. I'll do my best to stay here too, and find a way forward for our team."

On the other hand, Rumba and his guards were once again stunned.

Rumba scratched his head and said, "Lord Aaron didn't perform such tricks while hunting with us."

"Indeed," Numba nodded, then added, "Maybe Lord Aaron felt the prey was too weak to display his full strength."

Rumba replied, "Yeah, maybe."

Then he said, "Let's practice whenever we have time. As long as we can master Lord Aaron's technique, we'll be able to hunt prey easily. At least we won't have to worry about food."

On the other hand, Jake and Blake had also gathered at the East Gate, hoping to learn something from Lord Aaron's training.

They believed that if they practiced at night, they could widen the gap between themselves and others. Having commanded people under them, they understood the importance of strength and the responsibility of a captain.

But even they were stunned by Lord Aaron's display of power.

They knew that Lord Aaron was about their age, but the gap in strength was so vast that it felt like something they might never overcome in their entire lifetime.

Kelly brought Kathy along with her. She had already participated in the training ground last night, but today she was a little late.

So the two of them stood at the East Gate, watching the amazing scene unfold.

Kelly gently rubbed Kathy's head and said, "I'm going to practice. You can watch from here. But it's better not to try it yourself."

With that, she rushed toward the group and quickly joined the others.

Aaron, meanwhile, addressed the group: "Okay, you all practice again. I'll guide you if you make mistakes."

Then he pulled out a stick and added, "But unlike last time, when I guided you with words, this time, you'll be beaten if you make mistakes. Then corrected."

Rumba, a bit embarrassed, asked, "Lord Aaron… is it necessary to beat us?"

Aaron replied calmly, "Of course it's not necessary, as long as you practice correctly. But if you don't, I'll beat you. It'll force your mind to learn the move so you won't want to experience the pain again."
