[Leader, there's a problem. We can't reach any of our comrades in Core City!]

A voice suddenly spoke through Yuslev's comms, and Yuslev felt his heart speed up. He had thought that even though this mission had failed, he would at least be able to kill the superhuman children in Core City! What the hell is going on! The hand on Yuslev's shoulder tightened, and Yuslev suddenly wondered if Jason was related to what happened in Core City as well. Yuslev felt anger rise in his heart, and he spoke in a disappointed voice.

"Do you even not know what we're fighting for, king? You of all people should've understood what it was that I was trying to do. This world; you know that it is doomed, and yet you are still fighting to preserve the very virus that will doom us all?"

Yuslev spoke with a thick German accent, and Jason felt irritation fill his heart once he heard what Yuslev had to say. Jason walked around to stand in front of Yuselv and he looked down into Yuselv's eyes before saying:

"You're not the first person who felt they had some bullshit obligation to save the world, and honestly, I couldn't care less about the motive behind your actions. But you hurt my family. They weren't involved in this foolish agenda of yours, and yet you hurt them. That is something I cannot forgive."

Yuslev shrugged and looked down. Yuselv knew that innocent people were going to be hurt before he even began this crusade. That was something that Yuslev had accepted a long time ago! You couldn't change the world without spilling blood! But that was also a small price to pay for salvation!

"It's unfortunate that they got caught up in all this, but their lives would have been a small price to pay for my goals. Isn't this exactly what you've been doing, King? You are willing to sacrifice the lives of all humanity just to preserve this virus called mana that has poisoned us. You and I… we are not so different."

The anger that filled Jason's heart once he heard Yuslev's reasoning was enough to almost make Jason tear Yuselv's head off! But Jason grit his teeth and held himself back! Yuslev was going to die, but it wouldn't be such a quick death. Jason would make sure Yuslev suffered for what he had done.

Jason spoke to Yuslev like a father addressing a stupid child.

"You're a fool, Yuslev. You never even tried to understand what was out there in the Dimensional Expanse. You never wondered if it was possible to work together with the superhumans to protect this world. Instead, you decided in your foolishness that you would commit mass genocide to justify your fear. You are the most foolish man in the world, Yuslev, and I want you to know that your death will not be an easy one. You will die a slow, painful death, and your organization, your plans, your ambitions, they all die with you. I will make it my personal mission to eradicate all of the New Order from this world, and I will gladly commit the genocide that you were so willing to go forward with. But when I am done with that, I will then bring your eternal soul back from the dead and make it into my obedient slave. There will be nothing left of Yuslev, the fool. I will take you and reshape you into an instrument of my desires, and you will have no greater purpose than to serve me. If you thought that dying at the hands of the primordials was the worst thing you could ever go through, I will show you that you are sorely mistaken. By the time I'm done with you, you'll know true fear."

As Jason spoke, his aura had slowly increased in intensity, and Yuslev felt even more pressure pressing down on him! Yuslev hadn't been worried when Jason said that he was going to kill him! After all, Yuslev knew that dying wasn't going to make things change. Yuselv had formed a great organization that would carry on his mission even long after he was dead! But once Jason said that he was going to eradicate the New Order, the first sting of fear appeared in Yuslev's heart! Yuslev still tried not to let anything show on his face, but there was a feeling of doubt that had sprung up in Yuslev as he listened to Jason! Yuslev had never felt this way before. He had been one of the strongest men in the world for a very long time. After coming out of the Green Gate, Yuslev had formed a guild, and he had gone Gate diving for years, so he knew that he was stronger than every superhuman he had ever encountered, so there were no threats that he couldn't shrug off easily! But today had been an eye-opening revelation! Not only did Gina fight Yuslev to within an inch of his life a few seconds ago, but now Yuslev had to contend with this absolute freak of nature. Jason's power was so much greater than anything Yuslev had ever encountered in his life, and at this moment, Yuslev suddenly recalled the helplessness he felt in front of the Primordials.

But the thing that truly made Yuslev feel true fear in that moment was Jason's last words. Yuslev had already learned about Jason's ability to bring souls back from the dead, so Yuslev knew that Jason wasn't just trying to scare him! Yuslev knew that Jason could definitely do what he had promised! Yuslev didn't mind dying, and he didn't mind being tortured for his actions, but eternal servitude was not something he would ever tolerate! Being tied to your enemy and having no choice but to follow his every order left such a bad taste in Yuslev's mouth that he didn't know when he suddenly cried out with the primal anger of a creature at the brink of death!

"GAHHHHH!!"

Jason raised a brow when Yuslev suddenly cried out, and Jason watched as a long lance of water shot out from the river beneath and flew straight for them! For a moment, Jason thought that Yuslev was trying to attack him, but Jason was shocked when the lance flew straight towards Yuslev's throat! The bastard was trying to commit suicide? Jason reached out sharply, and he slapped the lance away before it could skewer Yuslev! But Yuslev suddenly reached for something in his back pocket, and he pulled out a knife before plunging it toward his heart!

Clang!

Jason put his hand over Yuslev's chest and blocked the knife, and Yuslev was shocked when a metallic sound echoed through the area! What the hell!? This was an SS Rank artefact that Yuslev had gotten as a reward from a Yellow Gate a few years ago, and he learned that it could even cut through SS Ranks like butter! Just how strong was Jason's skin for it to be blocking such a weapon!

Jason grabbed the knife by the blade and pulled it away from Yuslev! The knife was light and short, but it was well-balanced as Jason tested it in his hand.

Jason's [Appraisal] skill told him what he needed to know about the weapon, and Jason hummed once he was done reading it. Jason could already feel the blade vibrating in his hand as it asked to be fed some blood, and Jason decided that the knife was too useful to allow it to degrade like that. Jason flipped the knife around before suddenly lashing out with it and cutting across Yuslev's face!
