God of Technology: Creating the Internet in Another World

Chapter 169: Slaying a God Seizing Authority

You know your own business best. Using the God of War's authority to attack the God of War would definitely produce far better results than other gods' attacks. But if the God of War discovered where he was and realized what was happening, just one light counterattack would probably be more than his mech could handle.

After all, he was just a small fry who'd recently become a god. Even though he'd accumulated incredibly rich faith power, he hadn't converted this faith power into divine power, into real combat strength—especially given his still somewhat insufficient experience.

However, with his Magic Conductor Control authority, even though he'd returned to the Goddess of Magic's divine realm and everything outside was already shielded by barriers, he could still see everything.

Accompanied by a humming sound mixed with an ear-piercing screech like fingernails on glass, the rocket flashed like a beam of light, instantly disappearing into the God of War's body. Then came a massive explosion, mushroom cloud-like ripples, and tremendous impact force.

This attack finally looked somewhat godly. Many nearby gods couldn't help but retreat a bit. Watching that massive mushroom cloud, the countless magic runes, that strange God of War power mixed with explosion fragments—every god was astonished.

The Goddess of Magic didn't waste words. Before the other gods, including the God of War, could react, she'd already mobilized magic power and faith power, redirecting all the rocket fragments flying around toward the God of War.

At this point, the other gods also caught on. They could confirm that the strange object Ren launched could indeed harm the God of War—at least it was definitely way more powerful than the energy attacks they'd sent out. So they all sprang into action.

Some gods hid their power within these fragments, rushing into the God of War's body to cause special damage. Others used their power to redirect and enhance the fragments, giving them even more terrifying speed and force...

Each god contributed according to their nature.

Almost all the fragments from Ren's attacks were pinned into the God of War's body by various divine powers. Some more creative gods even used these fragments as weapons, continuously attacking the God of War, strike after strike, each one ferocious.

Ren watched this scene with mixed emotions. But once he confirmed it could break through the defense, he didn't hesitate anymore. He left the divine realm again, launched another attack, then hid again. One after another, until after the fifth rocket was launched, finally, the God of War stopped struggling and gradually began to weaken. Ren was shocked to discover that the God of War's authority had now been corrupted by him by more than half, and it seemed every second large amounts of authority were being devoured by him.

Seeing this scene, the gods couldn't help but breathe a long sigh of relief. This strongest god, this craziest god, was finally being dismantled. They might not even need to act—in just a few more minutes, the God of War would completely disappear. As for those authorities he controlled, now obviously wasn't the time to discuss that. They couldn't start fighting over them before the God of War was even dead, right?!

Besides, everything that just happened with the God of War was vivid in their minds. In the future, they'd better stick to developing their own authorities honestly, and stop thinking about occupying others' authorities. They were genuinely traumatized now.

Under all the gods' watchful eyes, the God of War's body began gradually shrinking. Those authorities that didn't originally belong to him were already flying off into the distance as he weakened. If no other gods interfered, perhaps before long, new consciousness would be born.

Gradually, the God of War had become incredibly weak. It seemed all the war authority had abandoned him. At this point, his eyes became clear. Whether it was an illusion or not, you could actually see some relief in his gaze.

Gods love mortals—this was true, because all gods were born from the thoughts of mortal beings. But as time passed, everything changed. The God of War seemed to have taken some misguided path, yet as his power drained away, he gradually became somewhat clearer, though still seemingly mad.

"Three thousand years ago, I received information that enemies from beyond our planet were approaching us. Their planet seems far more powerful than ours. They want to enslave our planet, including us gods. Everything I've done was only to resist these foreign invaders. Whether devouring the God of Creation, the God of Wine, or the Goddess of Dreams, I did it all to forge a strong and powerful army... But now, none of this concerns me anymore. I hope you can keep this planet alive... God of Technology, when you fall, that will be the moment of my return! I hope that when that time comes, I'll still see a complete world..."

As the God of War was about to dissipate, he spoke these words packed with explosive information, then completely vanished into the void. The rocket and shell fragments that remained in his body due to Ren, wrapped in countless flames, began falling toward the mortal realm. Fortunately, the Goddess of Magic reacted first and caught them. Otherwise, falling to the mortal realm, they'd have caused a massive disaster.

"Nature, what do you make of War's words?" The God of the Ocean swallowed and asked the God of Nature beside him.

"I don't know, but one thing's certain—the timeline matches up. Also, if the God of War's authority becomes free again, he will indeed return. We just don't know if he'll still have his current consciousness." The God of Nature stated what all gods knew.

War—as long as there are living beings in the mortal realm, it will inevitably occur. As long as it occurs, there will definitely be a God of War. This was beyond doubt. Right now, the God of War's authority seemed to have been taken by the God of Technology, so just as he said, as long as this planet isn't destroyed, as long as the God of Technology falls, he might return.

But what they were thinking about now obviously wasn't this part. What they were thinking about was what the God of War said about enemies from beyond the planet.

These gods had no way to leave their own planet. At least, in their understanding, it was impossible to leave. Yet the God of War said that now there were gods from other planets, leading their believers, preparing to launch an attack on their planet, and this had begun thousands of years ago...
