My Girlfriend Is So Beautiful, But She's an Assassin!

Chapter 62: Providing Information To Anindya's Mother

13:30, Principal's Office.

Lia sat on the sofa—finally transferring the compensation money to Julian's mother's account.

"Haa... Finally, the matter caused by Sagara is over~!" Lia said, holding her forehead with her right hand.

Then, there was a call from Anindya's mother—Lia pressed the confirm button.

"Hello, Madam Anindita" Lia greeted.

"Hello Lia~, I'm sorry I didn't answer your call earlier because I was shopping for clothes~" Anindita said.

"Shopping?" Lia thought to herself, her expression confused.

"Excuse me, Madam, where are you now?" Lia asked.

"I'm in Ushuaia, Argentina" Anindita replied.

Lia was a little surprised to hear this.

"Argentina?, what about your mission?" Lia asked, confused, her tone apprehensive.

"Don't worry, we're in the area because we're monitoring someone we suspect is collaborating with illegal seal hunters" Anindita replied.

"I see. If I'm bothering you now, I'll hang up" Lia said.

"Ah, no need, because we're already settled in a nearby hotel" Anindita said.

"Ahh, Alright" Lia said.

"So, what's the matter?" Anindita asked.

"Umm... Actually, Sagara shot Lady Anindya's boyfriend" Lia replied in a matter-of-fact tone.

The atmosphere suddenly fell silent for about two minutes.

"A-anu—" Lia said, not having finished her sentence.

"HAAAH!? WHAT DID YOU SAY!?" Anindita interrupted angrily.

Lia reflexively closed her eyes tightly and held the phone away from her ear. Anindita's voice sounded like a thunderclap.

"L-like I said, Sagara shot Anindya's boyfr—" Lia replied nervously.

"HAAH!?, HAS THAT BOY GONE CRAZY!?" Anindita interrupted.

"I-I don't know why he did that either!" Lia replied, panicked.

"How do you know Sagara shot him?!" Anindita asked, still angry.

"Lavendina, she saw him from the building window—on her way to the cafeteria" Lia replied.

"Why didn't she try to stop Sagara?" Anindita asked, her voice starting to sound normal.

"Ah, she said, she thought it was just a small fight and she preferred to follow her stomatch rather than look first" Lia replied.

"Geezz, Lavendina is such an idiot..." Anindita said, trying to control her anger.

"Yeah, maybe she thought she could heal the wounds from their little fight later" Lia said.

"I see... So, how's the guy doing?! He wasn't shot in the heart, was he?!" Anindita asked.

"No, Madam, the guy was shot in the arm and luckily it only caused a scratch" Lia replied.

"Phew... Thank goodness~" Anindita breathed a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, and Lavendina has also treated the guy" Lia said.

"Good job, does the guy's family know?" Anindita asked.

"According to Lavendina's information, the guy told his parents that the wound on his arm was caused by a nail—while the staff were moving tables and chairs to the storage shed" Lia replied.

"Hmm... I see, then we'll just have to compensate, right? Since it was our staff's fault" Anindita asked.

"That's right!," Lia replied enthusiastically.

"That's why I called you, because I already transferred the money using my own money!" Lia continued.

"Lia..." Anindita said, her tone heavy.

Lia immediately fell silent and looked awkward after hearing Anindita's tone.

"Y-yes?" Lia asked.

"Have you forgotten our family rules?" Lia asked.

"A-ahh, I-i remember" Lia replied, her expression weak.

"Good~" Anindita said, her tone cheerful again.

Lia was stunned and speechless.

"What's wrong? Why are you so quiet? Isn't there anything else you want to talk to me about?" Anindita asked.

Lia straightened up.

"There's still something I want to talk to you about," Lia replied.

"What?" Anindita asked.

"Actually, Lady Anindya and Lady Anindya's boyfriend are being targeted, because Lady Anindya's boyfriend was attacked by gangsters earlier" Lia replied.

The silence returned. Lia, realizing something was about to happe and started to move her phone away from her ear.

"Madam, are you still there?" Lia asked, her voice a little louder.

Anindita, who had been silent, finally said,

"Haa... It must have been Anindya who brought that guy on the mission, right?" Anindita asked.

"Y-yeah. He always gives excuses about wanting to go on a date, I don't know what Lady Anindya was really thinking," Lia replied.

"Why didn't you stop her?" Anindita asked.

"I-I'm sorry, madam. I was stupid for believing Lady Anindya's words" Lia replied regretfully.

"What reason did she give? That made you believe her?" Anindita asked.

"Actually, that guy is the one Lady Anindya has liked since junior high, and he was the one who saved Lady Anindya from the three men who were flirting with her. So I thought if he joined the mission, he could protect Lady Anindya," Lia replied.

"Since junior high? Which guy?" Anindita asked, her voice sounding confused.

Lia tried to remember too.

"Mmm... Lady Anindya once said that the guy had blonde hair" Lia replied.

"Blonde?..." Anindita asked, confused.

"Yes, the one who changed Lady Anindya—from tomboyish to feminine" Lia replied.

Silence fell again.

"It looks like madam is trying to remember, huh?" Lia asked herself.

After a few seconds of thought, Anindita shouted.

"AH! I REMEMBER!" Anindita shouted.

Simultaneously, Lia also pulled her phone away from her ear.

"So it's that guy, huh? So the reason Anindya wants to go to school so badly is because she knows he's going there?" Anindita asked.

Even though the phone was away from her ear, Lia could still hear Anindita's high-pitched voice. Lia put the phone back to her ear.

"S-something like that" Lia replied.

"I see, but still, bringing civilians on that mission is too risky" Anindita said.

"That's true, but what's surprising is that the guy managed to defeat all the gangsters who were after him" Lia said.

"WHAT?! Are you serious?!" Anindita asked, her voice rising.

"Yes, that's what I wanted to tell you. When Lady Anindya finished defeating the drug dealer—she and her boyfriend were immediately targeted by drug boss" Lia replied.

"Hmm... I see. Lia, do you think the drug boss will lead us to our main target this time?," Anindita asked.

"Because of all the dealers we've defeated, this is the first time someone has come after Anindya" Anindita continued.

Lia was silent for six seconds, her expression contemplative. After six seconds, Lia answered.

"I don't know yet, Madam. Because I'll interrogate the gangster leader again later" Lia replied.

"I see, I'll leave that to you" Anindita said proudly.

"Yes, Madam!" Lia replied.

"Oh yes, do you need additional troops?" Anindita asked.

"No need, Madam, because we alone are enough to attack—Tia has also completed her four combat drones" Lia replied.

"Good, you are indeed my great children" Anindita said proudly.

Hearing that, Lia's heart immediately felt warm.

"Thank you, Madam" Lia said with a gentle smile.

"Okay, I'll hang up. I'm going to help Darmia" Anindita said.

"Okay, Madam. Good luck with your mission" Lia said enthusiastically.

Anindita immediately ended the call. Lia placed her phone on her right thigh. Lia gripped both her hands tightly.

"Hopefully, this time I'll actually get a clue!" Lia said angrily.

After that, Lia stood up from her sofa and grabbed her black jacket—which she had placed on a wall hook. She put it on and walked out of the principal's office—remembering to lock the door.

When she arrived near the security post, Lia saw Bonang joking with two security guards. They seemed to be having a great time.

"Bonang!" Lia called out as she reached the security post.

Bonang stopped laughing and turned to look at Lia.

"Oh, Lia, are you done with your business?" asked Bonang.

"Yes, my substitute teacher is already teaching one of the classes" Lia replied.

"Okay" Bonang said, standing from her chair.

"Then let's go!" Bonang said enthusiastically.

After that, they walked to the motorcycle parked not far from the security post.

"You don't plan on changing your motorcycle, huh?" Lia asked.

Bonang didn't answer—he got on the motorcycle first. Once he was on, Bonang looked at Lia.

"If you were my wife, maybe I'd think about changing it" Lia replied with a grin.

Lia immediately blushed—but she hid it with her cold expression.

"Hmph! Don't dream!" Lia said irritably as she walked toward Bonang's motorcycle.

Bonang continued to smile. Lia was already sitting behind Bonang.

"Okay, where are we going?" Bonang asked, looking at Lia.

"We're going to the Polda Metro Jaya on Jenderal Sudirman St." Lia replied.

"Okay!" Bonang replied.

Bonang looked ahead, then started his motorcycle, and started driving toward the Polda Metro Jaya.
