Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1264: Hope

"Leave… this… place… Find… Luna… Hurry!"

"!!!" Nathan widened his eyes in shock. "This voice…"

"What's wrong?" Fenrir didn't understand what was going on since he couldn't hear the same voice.

But before Nathan could say anything to him, Fenrir suddenly warned him. "Incoming bursts of energy! Something is going on!"

"!!!" Nathan's body shook as a powerful burst of energy suddenly shook the entire city.

"I don't know what's going on, but this looks bad!"

Nathan gritted his teeth. On the one hand, he thought about infiltrating the mansion or, in the worst-case scenario, he could transform into Kaelina. On the other hand, he couldn't ignore the warning from both Fenrir and the alien.

"Oi! Something is scanning the entire city. If this is because of us, we have to escape now!"

Suddenly, a loud destruction sound echoed across the city as the mansion collapsed. A single figure flew into the sky.

Nathan could feel the scan that Fenrir told him about.

Just sensing it alone forced Nathan to make a decision. If he doesn't act now, he might be too late.

"Tsk." Nathan clicked his tongue and used his teleportation.

"Oi!" Fenrir roared.

Nathan was activating his ability as a massive burst of energy suddenly flew toward him.

Boom!

The burst of energy crushed the entire building behind him, but Nathan had disappeared at the last moment.

The figure in the sky couldn't help but furrow his eyebrows. He looked like a middle-aged man with a beard covering his lips.

The moment he caused such destruction, the people began to move. "My lord."

"..." The middle-aged man frowned before shouting, "There was an intruder who wanted to destroy the city earlier. Bring all the guards to the mansion. I need information about all summoners who entered the city today."

The people were confused, but the middle-aged man had already descended. Even though the attack killed multiple people, he acted as if he didn't care and let his subordinates handle the rest.

His subordinates immediately started working, acting as if it was the right thing to do. After all, the lord was supposed to protect his territory.

"Ha… Ha…" Nathan exhaled a few times. He didn't expect that this person would attack without any warning.

In fact, how did he even notice his presence?

"You almost got captured." Fenrir let out a breath of relief.

"How did he even find me? And that kind of power…"

"Yeah, most likely, it was the head of their family. From what I could feel, his power was more sophisticated than Evelyn's power. He was closely approaching the divinity. However, that power from earlier… I don't know why, but I sensed something strange. It was as if everything didn't belong to him."

"Do you mean his power was not originally his? I mean, something boosted his power?"

"Most likely. It felt similar to the black weapon."

"!!!" Nathan raised his eyebrows. "Now that I think about it, I heard six words in my mind earlier. It should be telepathy. It told me to leave that place and find Luna."

Fenrir squinted his eyes. "If that's the case, the 'Luna' it mentioned must be 'Luna Eleren,' right?"

"Yeah." Nathan crossed his arms. "If the alien believes in her, Luna Eleren might be on the alien's side. Then, doesn't this mean… the black cell is more active here?"

Fenrir was shaken by that suspicion. What Nathan truly meant was the involvement of the black cell.

Unlike the Gratzel continent, the black cell here might be doing something much more concrete.

"We couldn't really come to a conclusion. If he is an enemy, why would he leave the alien alive? Still, we know that this family head is our enemy. Whether he is controlled by the black cell or not, it doesn't matter.

"But if he's controlled by the black cell, it means he is the alien's enemy. And that's why he is doing everything he can to suppress Luna Eleren. It is because Luna Eleren is on the side of the alien…"

Fenrir couldn't help but agree.

"Fenrir… I might have found the reason for the Death Society's infiltration this time. According to Lambert, the Death Society visited him once and directed him to the Eleren family.

"There's a very high chance that the Death Society's mission this time involves something like a recruitment. They're planning to recruit some people across the continent to replenish their numbers.

"And there is another possibility. It's not as high as the first possibility, but it's quite high. After listening to what the alien said, the Death Society might have found out about us.

"Cthulhu sent a wave of fear before, right? The Death Society might have figured out what kind of wave it was and linked it back to Cthulhu.

"As such, they might be trying to hunt us down, the one bearing the Cthulhu's mark. However, they don't know yet about us, and they don't have any way to find out whether we have that mark or not.

"The alien from earlier was a special case.

"One more thing, they might be aiming for Luna Eleren this time. Luna Eleren might be the chosen one of this continent. That's why the alien directed me to her."

Fenrir chuckled. "Luna Eleren. We can't confirm whether your speculation is true or not. However, finding Luna Eleren might give us all the answers."

"Yeah. If Luna Eleren is the chosen one, everything becomes clear. So, we need to find her."

"But how?"

"..." Nathan clicked his tongue. "Finding someone who is constantly moving and most likely doesn't want to be found… As expected, it's hard, especially since the other party is one of the top summoners on this continent. It looks like I have no choice but to wait until the Beggar Sect is founded…"

Inside the Eleren family's mansion, the middle-aged man walked into the basement.

The basement had nothing except for a cage that was imbued with multiple layers of barriers. And that cage contained a white caterpillar.

"Looks like… you failed…" The caterpillar spoke with telepathy, his weak still weak.

"You bastard. No matter how much you struggle, your struggle is futile. This world is doomed to fall. You should have handed over your kin's servants and ceased your futile resistance."

"Servants… no… They… are… hope."
