Lin Daiyu, on the other hand, was calm, already analyzing the enemy for weaknesses.The control towers opened up next. Earth vines, fart clouds, landmines, and earthen spikes. Even the [Earthquake Tower] fired, shaking the very ground.But… it was mostly useless. Other than the [Fart Tower] slowing them down, nothing else seemed to work."Their armor is too damn thick!" Wu Chi's face twitched. He wracked his brain. The upside of all this tech was insane physical defense. But the downside? Their power cores could run out, and the squishy pilots inside were vulnerable."You want me to go down there and play?" Lin Daiyu asked suddenly.Wu Chi blinked, then nodded. "Okay. She'd leap a hundred meters, punch a War Fortress so hard it flew through the air and disintegrated, killing the crew inside. Then she'd try her [Sword of Shadows], which could cut through the armor but not destroy the fortress outright. To her, it just looked like Lin Daiyu was effortlessly tearing the enemy army a new one. "She's so cool," she whispered. "I wish I could fight alongside her."On the wall, the other girls were busy, launching [Wrathful Moon Seals] at the enemy drones while the Vanguards provided covering fire with their crossbows. The drones fired back, missiles and cannon fire slamming into the wall, but every time they did, the [Thundercloud Wall] would zap them with lightning, and their numbers were thinning fast.Wu Chi ran up to the cultivators. "Everyone, stop!""Huh? Supreme Master?" The girls stopped, their big eyes wide with confusion.He pointed at the War Fortresses and quickly explained his plan. The girls, being quick-witted cultivators, caught on instantly. They began to chant, summoning dual [Immortal Binding Seals], creating two hundred shimmering white ropes of pure moonlight that flew out towards the enemy. Two hundred ropes against an army of thousands was nothing… but they weren't aiming for the army.They were aiming for the War Fortresses' wheels.The fortresses' energy shields flared up, but the ropes weren't an attack. They were flexible, slipping under the shields and wrapping themselves tightly around the fortresses' treads and drive mechanisms.CRUNCH!One by one, the massive war machines ground to «N.o.v.e.l.i.g.h.t» a halt, their treads completely jammed. They were now just giant, immobile tin cans."That's it!" Wu Chi grinned. He ordered the Vanguards to charge. Without their mobile fortresses for cover, the exosuit soldiers were completely exposed and were cut down with ease.The Moon Palace girls kept the fortresses locked down while the defense towers and heroes rained down fire upon the sitting ducks.
