"What do you have to say for yourself?"
When I heard this, I narrowed my eyes to look at the one that had asked this question.
As I looked at that demon, I released the demon king's pressure that I had been holding back previously.
When this demon felt this pressure, he couldn't help moving a bit back. If it wasn't for the fact that he had been sitting, then he would have taken a full step back.
That was just how much the pressure influenced him.
Though in the first place, this demon was nothing more than a middle grade demon.
This demon didn't belong to one of the top demon tribes, which was why it had affected him so much.
As for those that did come from the top demon tribes, it didn't seem like they were that threatened by the demon king's aura that I released. Only that made sense since I wasn't a full demon king yet.
I was still developing into the full demon king and I hadn't condensed the full aura of the demon king.
That was why I was still technically inferior to them.
But for me to suddenly release this demon king's aura was still quite the surprise for most of these demons from the top demon tribes.
It was as if the puppet that they regarded as harmless had suddenly started to move on its own. It was as if the puppet that they thought was fully under their control had grabbed its own string and was moving on its own now.
If they lost control of this puppet demon king…
But right now, it wasn't as if any of them could actually act.
So that was what worried these demons from the top demon tribes.
They were worried that I would take this chance to become a real demon king.
After pressuring that one demon that spoke, I said, "I led our vanguard to victory, is there a problem?"
I was no longer as quiet as before and I spoke with confidence in my voice.
For the demons that had been used to looking down on me, it was a completely new experience. Most of them were so caught off guard that they didn't know how to react.
At the same time, most of the middle grade demon tribes couldn't help feeling that there wasn't a place for them to say anything. It seemed like at this point, everything depended on those top demon tribes.
It was just that none of them were saying a thing.
All of them were being wary of each other.
This was all because this one move from me had ruined their plans.
This was something that I had already learned from two of the top demon tribes.
The top demon tribes weren't completely isolated from each other, they had their factions and their alliances. Even if they were powerful demon tribes, the other tribes were just as strong.
The only way that they would be able to get ahead of each other was if they formed factions and alliances.
The vampire tribe and the succubus tribe naturally had these alliances as well.
But they completely betrayed those that they were allied with because I had subdued them.
One of them was forced to submit against their will and the other willingly followed me.
It was clear which one of them gave me more information about the other demons.
Still, the information that they brought was more than enough for me to understand what the situation between the top demon tribes was like,
They were currently engaged in far more infighting than I thought.
So even if they wanted to make a move, it wasn't as if they would be able to do so.
"I believe that this kind of achievement is worthy of a reward."
When the demons heard this, they couldn't believe what they were hearing.
Especially when they saw who it was that had said this.
It wasn't just a normal demon that said this, it was a representative from one of the top demon tribes.
It was Morgan, the pureblooded vampire that had suddenly said this.
When the other top demon tribe representatives heard this, they seemed to glare at him more than the other demons. After all, it was a big deal for a representative from one of the top demon tribes to make this move.
Though the ones that had the strongest reactions were the ones that had alliances with the vampires.
It was as if they were wondering just what Morgan was doing.
But Morgan didn't back down even though the other demons were looking at him like this. Instead, all he did was wait for the response that they would have to his proposal.
Though on the inside, he was actually cursing this situation.
If it wasn't for the fact that he had been ordered to do this, he never would have stood out like this.
Standing out like this was a danger to the vampires after all.
After a long silence, one of the other top demon tribe representatives suddenly spoke.
It was the representative from the Werewolf Tribe.
Even Morgan was caught off guard when he heard this since the Werewolf Tribe wasn't an ally of the Vampire Tribe. Rather, the Werewolf Tribe was actually a longtime enemy of the Vampire Tribe.
Werewolves and Vampires, they were a feud that was as old as time itself in fantasy worlds.
It was only natural that there would be this same feud in this world.
However, the Werewolves were actually backing the Vampires now.
It really was as if the sun was rising from the west…
"Since he has shown his bravery, it's only natural that he should receive a reward. This is the way that us demons have always operated."
Once the representative from the Werewolf Tribe said this, the entire meeting fell into chaos as no one knew what to say.
At this point, it seemed like everyone was just trying to figure out what the situation was.
