The fifth book is a reference book called "Forty Things to Note for World Destruction," authored by an anonymous writer. The cover shows a scene of doomsday with thunderstorms and fires. The content involves preparations before destroying the world, such as ways to conceal one's True Name to resist the Prophetic Faction, and preparing more safe houses, etc.
The sixth book is a guide titled "The Tactics Master's Self-Cultivation," authored by Youlan Weiser. The cover depicts Ash, Sword Maiden, and Witch walking in front, chatting and laughing, while Weiser follows quietly watching them. Ash opened it and was immediately vexed by the content inside.
"...The captain likes to relax in the back, don't point it out. You can invite him to observe together, providing opportunities for him to relax. When the captain is questioned, support him in time, but make sure it's not flirtation..."
"...Don't steal the Sword Saint's thunder. If you come up with a tactic, notify the Sword Saint first. If the tactic can be coordinated, assist the Sword Saint in defeating the enemy. When the Sword Saint and captain have disagreements, stand with the Sword Saint first..."
"...Chat more with the Hook Master. If you think of a tactic, be sure to coordinate with the Hook Master. When the Hook Master disagrees with the Sword Saint, stand with the captain; when the Hook Master disagrees with the captain, I've never seen it happen."
"Take care of personal hygiene before 10:45 am, log in promptly at 11:00 am..."
"Don't get involved in emotional disputes, remember, remember, remember."
"To research us so thoroughly without making a sound, really..." Ash clicked his tongue and carefully read the content, memorizing the tactics concerning the Sword Maiden Witch, determined to apply them in practice.
This should be the last of it, with only one page left. However, Ash turned it over to find a seventh book.
"The Tactics Master's Happy Life," authored by Silver Lamp Youlan Weiser. The cover shows Ash, Weiser, Sword Maiden, and Witch walking together, noisily chatting and laughing. Not only the other three but even Weiser is smiling and participating in the discussion. Where no one can see, she stealthily reaches out to grab Ash's sleeve.
But it contains only one page, with no introduction, no outline, no content.
She just thought of the title, and it was already over.
Ash lowered his eyelids, feeling annoyed by this legacy mechanism. What's the use of seeing someone's path only after their death? The wishes she didn't voice, spoken in this manner, without even a sound, can only gently touch the most obscure and unpleasant string in the heart.
He looked up at the colorful sky for a while, exhaled slowly, handed the doll and watercolor pens to the silver block in front of him, then sat beside it, opened Youlan Weiser's Mage's Handbook, and said, "Youlan Weiser loved learning since she was young..."
Ash knew very little about Weiser, and coupled with his not being good at storytelling, he narrated her grand tale of destruction in a few minutes, even with the Mage's Handbook to fill in gaps. "... In the end, Youlan Weiser sacrificed herself, transformed into a Great Skill, and immediately ascended to become the God of Silver Lamp."
The silver block trembled slightly, a question mark indented and emerged within it.
"That's right," Ash nodded heavily, handing the Mage's Handbook to the silver block, "Silver Lamp, you are Youlan Weiser."
The silver block took the Mage's Handbook, its shape trembling violently, sometimes becoming gaseous, sometimes liquid, sometimes solid. Gradually, Ash noticed that all the colors in front of him were taking on fixed shapes, black became a broken sky, and dark red formed cracked earth; the world began to return to normal.
In front of Ash, there was a calm little Silver Lamp. She sat cross-legged on the ground, with the doll and watercolor pens on her lap, holding the Mage's Handbook in both hands, reading it page by page, whispering softly to herself, "I am Youlan Weiser..."
Success.
Ash didn't expect it to be so easy; he vaguely felt that to deceive the mechanism of the Gods of Four Pillars, he could only try something with Silver Lamp. As for whether telling Silver Lamp about Youlan Weiser's past had any use, he wasn't sure, but even if it turned out to be in vain, he would still do it.
It seemed when Silver Lamp recognized herself as Youlan Weiser (even if just by name), the mechanism of the Gods of Four Pillars would consider her reborn, even though she is now a Divine Being.
Successfully deceived the mechanism, Ash once again freed himself from the watch of the Gods of Four Pillars.
"We've wasted quite a bit of time..." Ash stood up and glanced around: "We need to figure out a way up—"
Suddenly, Ash noticed a door appear in the sky. This door wasn't near any collapse crack; it was sharp and abrupt, like a miracle.
A shadow jumped out from inside the door, no Void Wings were spread, no Miracle was performed, plunging straight to the ground, causing a tremor as if a comet was crashing into the moon. Ash stared at this scene in amazement, and then an indescribable joy spread throughout his body with the beating of his heart, his battle-weary body suddenly filled anew with energy.
He immediately spread his Void Wings and flew over, seeing from afar a beautiful person clad in tattered black feathers. In his right hand, he carried a bandaged Swindler, on his left shoulder, he carried a coffin, from which a Necromancer's right hand hung over the edge.
"Igula," Ash landed in front of them, speaking cautiously, as if afraid to pop a bubble: "Tamasi, Harvey?"
"Lower your voice a bit more, your voice has disturbed my fifth fractured rib," Igula weakly said: "I'm not Black Crow, who can mend my own bones."
Ash asked, "Is this not an illusion?"
The coffin was put down, Harvey signaled Corpse Ghost Alice to lift him, saying: "Probably not an illusion, after all, you surely haven't seen such a beautiful Alice."
Ash stared at them dumbly, then before tears blurred his vision, he rushed forward and hugged all three. Igula had prepared many 'kind words' for Ash, but seeing this, he could only turn his head and say: "You can hug tighter, so my unbroken rib can join the completely shattered family too."
"I thought..." Ash took a deep breath, his voice choked: "I'm just glad you're all still alive..."
"We are still alive," Tamasi no longer used a false voice; it was sweet like birds singing. He gently patted Ash's back, "We are all still alive."
Little Silver Lamp walked over, holding the doll, watercolor pens, and Mage's Handbook. She watched these four damaged and broken people hug each other, tilted her head, and then looked down to open the last page of the Mage's Handbook.
